Totally in awe of your knitting. Despite having designed and produced knitwear for 35 years my skills are firmly in machine knitting ( the domestic version). So Looking forward to see more of your knitting. As for sewing… There are no mistakes, just design choices!🤗
Welcome back, Andie! I’ve missed you ❤. Lovely to see your makes, particularly the knitting. Lovely jumpers! Congratulations on the new job. Hope to see you again before too long… x
Good to see you back. I often find when at first I make something I think I’ve done a not so good job on it. A while later I’ll go back, look at it and am pleased with it. It seems that one has worked so hard that you get discouraged and think you’ve made a poor project.
Andi, You are sew talented, please don't be discouraged with your fails, we all have them. Bag making gives me a break from fitting a bad pattern. There is some dissolvable thread available, it just dissolves in water and is great for trial fitting a pattern Please give some suggestions for us sewers, that would love to learn to knit. It would be a dream to be as talented as you are. Your knitting is so beautiful. I totally agree at how frustrating it can be, when a pattern goes wrong. I have decided, just recently that every pattern must be a muslin before cutting up my nice fabric. It takes more time, but it is a joy to have a nice ending. Simply Classic on You Tube might give you some tips on sewing leather, she uses glues and clips, and no pins.I think the right needle and thread makes a big difference in the sewing leather. Congrats on your new position, sorry you are working so much but that's life. The up side benefit is having the extra to do our hobbies. Good luck with your next project. I do have couple ideas that would save your pants . Please finish your bag, you are not very far away from having a completed useful carrier.
So glad to see this pop up . I was searching for channel and couldn’t find it. I loved your Christmas vlogmas so much I wanted to see it again. I like the caddy as it is… really nice make. Leather is pretty easy to see with. Just get a leather needle and potentially get a silicone foot, though I didn’t need it.
Ah ha! There you are! I'm very happy to see you again. I enjoy your videos so very much. I also have lost my sewing MOJO but feel it's coming back. Quilting mostly. Making garments isn't fun after all the holiday goodies have caught up to me.🙄 I love that you show your knitting. I've made almost all of Amy Lowdens patterns and adore the one you are working on now. I MUST make it! Lol! Congratulations on the new job. I hope you enjoy it. So very nice to see you again. Wishing you and yours a tremendously happy and healthy 2025.❤
Well, things are already looking up in the new year. It's so nice to see you in your own vlog! I saw a peek of you recently in a Gayna Jane or Tales from Cuckooland vlog. I think she was at a knitting retreat and you were in the shot looking happy and vibrant. Your sweater is stunning. I want to learn to knit well enough to make one, too. Happy to watch knitting or sewing. I just admire your sense of style and your wonderful, self-effacing manner. Thanks for making my day!
Happy New Year Andie. Lovely to see you back & I'm excited to see all your sewing & knitting. I've now knitted 2 whitmoors since to recommended it for me to try as my first try of knitting in the round, I must admit I've really enjoyed a knit that you don't have to stitch up! Ive also taking the plunge & started Vlogging too, scary but i'm loving it🤣 Love your Fleur Top and think one without the peplum would be great. Hope you manage to fit in some lovely crafting time around your new job🥰
Good to see you back Andie. Jumper looks amazing, I’m just starting knitting can’t imagine tackling such complicated work!! I’m still hoping my sew Jo will return too.
You have been missed! Your jumpers are beautiful. I am currently knitting a Whitmoor Cardigan, but I'm a slow knitter, I'm too busy sewing usually. I am not great at sewing up my knitting, so that's a big bonus with the Whitmoor, al;[though the bamboo toothpicks at the end of each row can be a pain.
Thank you so much. Take your time and enjoy it. I’ve made the Whitaker cardi so I know what you mean about the DPNs. It’s worth it though for the lovely finish 🥰
Lovely to see you back Andie I've missed your vlogs. Have a look at the new Maison Fauve Calypso pattern for your red jacket. I've just ordered mine from Andrea at Beyond the Pink Door. Its pretty close to what you describe, short, collar etc H x
Happy New Year Andie! So glad to see you are back, missed seeing your videos! I made the Adria Jacket by Fibremood it sounds similar to the jacket you described.
Hi Andie lovely to have you back you make lovely clothes i think some looked a little to big but apart from that your makes where lovely i looked forward to your vlogs so its great to see you are back with us looking forward to seeing your makes x
Omg I have been exactly the same made the sati skirt for Christmas ok,been knitting instead. I did the storm sweater currently finishing the siri cardigan ❤
Welcome back Andie. I looked for you at Vlogmas as I enjoyed your last Vlogmas so much. It's so nice to see you again. There are several workwear jackets around at the moment. One of those may suit the style you are looking for.😊 Happy New Year to you and your family.
Great to see you. Look at thekusvana jacket. Go on fab work she made it in wool and looks fab. I think it’s a sew different pattern. I’m going to make it
So lovely to see you back on our screens, Andie and I have to pinch myself having been in your fabulous sewing room! The caddy bag is amazing, can’t wait to see it finished and a bestie bag in leather will be gorgeous. I made a boxy jacket by adapting the Pillar from Maison Fauve, inc taking off the front darts, omitting top pockets, making a single piece sleeve without cuff, omitting the bottom band, placing patch pockets bottom front and extending the side pieces. Really pleased with the outcome. Loving the new mix of content by the way 🪡🧵🧶xx
Hy Andy nice to see you HAPPY NEW YEAR .I used to work in a knitwear factory and I was a mender and sewed up from the right side picking one stitch from one side and one stitch from theother In between the V / V s if you know what I mean then pull together ,hard to explain pick a stitch from the middle of a V then the middle of a V on the other side ,give it a go you can’t see the seam when it’s done 🙏🙏
Hi glad you’re back I like your caddy and you knit such special jumpers I can knit but have never tried top down patterns they weren’t around when I learnt to knit I’m 79 so don’t think I will be able to master it but love the whitmore cardigan saw a few bloggers have made it love all your knits you are very talented happy new year and please make more blogs
Happy New Year to you too. I have watched a TH-cam tutorial which is exactly the same as you have described. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise xx
Welcome back! You'll enjoy making the Bestie bag. I made the large version and like it, but it's really too big for a purse. I have the stuff I need to make the medium.
Sooooooo Andie, it’s brilliant to see your latest update. Hope your new vlog direction (ie dropping the sewing) will mean more videos. I’m that saddo who gets an excited buzz when i see you’ve uploaded a new video. With all the head scratchingly weird stuff the algorithm throws at my feed, you are a more than welcome sight to see :D Did you visit Chatsworth over Xmas? I managed to get a walk around the outskirts on NYE but I missed it this time. Lurve the light coloured jumper youre wearing, if I had the same chest dimensions , I’d be stealing it from you (and making a Drs appointment) 😂❤ Happy New Year!!!!!! Xxxxxxxx
I’ve missed your comment my gorgeous friend❤️❤️we didn’t get to Chatsworth this year. We did try for tickets but left it too late. Hope you are both well and a very Happy New Year to you. 😘😘😘
Hi, Happy New Year. Great to see you back. I've just bought the Calypso jacket by maison fauve from Beyond the pink door, sounds very much like the M&S jacket. Your knitting is great, I'm not a knitter but love seeing people creations 😊

Great to see you back - you have been missed. I like to knit but it takes too long to alter - I never seem to get the sizes right. Your caddie looks great. Hope to see you again soon with your leather Bestie!! Happy New Year. 😊 Lynne

Welcome back Andi, great to see you again. Happy New Year to you and your family. Love the mix of sewing and knitting.
Happy new year to you too x
Welcome back, the bestie bag is a really fun sew, I’m sure the unlined version would work in a soft leather. 😊
Thank you. I hadn’t thought about the lining, that’s really helpful x
Nice to see you again Andie 😊
Thank you so much 😘
Hi, Happy New Year. Great to see you back. I've just bought the Calypso jacket by maison fauve from Beyond the pink door, sounds very much like the M&S jacket. Your knitting is great, I'm not a knitter but love seeing people creations 😊

It’s great to see you back Andie, I have missed your vlogs. Your knitting is beautiful, I’m looking forward to seeing more in the future. ❤❤
Thank you so much Janette 🥰
Great to see you back - you have been missed. I like to knit but it takes too long to alter - I never seem to get the sizes right. Your caddie looks great. I made one and did the same as you with the pockets but didn’t change them. It is so useful for when I go to my weekly group. Your Fleur looks lovely. I am sure it looks great on you. Hope to see you again soon with your leather Bestie!! Happy New Year. 😊 Lynne
Thank you so much Lynne 😘
Hi Andie,
Happy New Year , So lovely to see you back xx
Thank you so much 🥰
Great to see you back Andi, I think that Stylearc’s Delphine jacket may fit your requirements, it’s on my ‘to do’ list. That Fleur is fabulous and I love seeing your knitting, how would you rate the Whitmoor for difficulty? I’d love to give it a go but I’m no expert! P.s. I have a discarded backpack that’s clipped together just like your caddy 😂
Oohh that’s a lovely pattern, thank you. The whitmoor is a great pattern and extremely well written. Give it a go. I would recommend using stitch markers to mark each pattern repeat. That way, if you go wrong at all, you will spot it straight away and will be able to correct much more easily. Once you have the yolk finished it’s all stockinet in the round. Xx
@ thanks for the advice Andie, looking forward to seeing whatever jacket you make😊
Great to see you again! I love your sweater!
Thank you so much Colleen 😘
i missed your vlogmas this year. and glad to see you back.❤
Thank you so much Cherry 😘
Andie, you have no idea how happy I am to see you back!! Have thought a lot about you and hoped that nothing was wrong. You might want to take a look at the Downtown jacket by Pattern Emporium. It’s not exactly what you are looking for, but has possibilities. As always, your knitting projects are gorgeous. Until next time, take good care…..
That’s so very kind of you, thank you. Xx
Hi Andie so nice to see you back x
Thank you so much x
Wow! So lovely to see you back, I've genuinely missed you. I love your vlogs, your a lovely lovely lady. I love both knitting and sewing but totally agree with you about sewing fails. We've all been there 😂. Happy New Year to uou and your family. Big hug
Thank you so much Kathy, what a lovely comment xx
So lovely to see you back Andie. The suraya or Frankie jacket by Sew Over it? or the Ilford by Friday Pattern Company maybe? I've had a few disasters this year and totally get what you mean about losing drive to sew. I want to try my hand at crochet. Love your flour blouse, the fabric is gorgeous xx
Thank you so much lovely x I have a feeling I’ve tried the Suraya, I think I have an unfinished version somewhere. If it’s the one I’m thinking of, there was Hong Kong finishing of the seams. Which I actually quite enjoyed x
Lovely to see you back. What about Ilford jacket by Friday pattern company.
That was on my list to check out, thank you 😘
Lovely to see you back. Have you seen the Maison Fauve Calypso jacket pattern, is that similar to what you had in mind for the red fabric?
Thank you. A few people have mentioned that pattern, it’s a definite possibility 😘
Not sure if the Smitten Jacket by pattern emporium is what you are after, but the pattern’s & instructions by them are 2nd to none. Kate the owner does a whole video on what’s in the pattern. Hope this helps
Thank you, I will check it out 🥰
Welcome back missed ya xx❤
Thank you so much 😘
It’s good to see you back. Your work is amazing, but I just think you need help with the fitting, pants are always tough.
Thank you so much. I agree with you! I haven’t made many pairs of trousers, I should add that to my 2025 aims. X
I thought at first it said sew and die 😂🎉
😂😂 great name for a channel 😉
what about the sonny jacket by tilly and the buttons.
Thank you Cherry. Almost there but I want some pockets in the bottom. Thank you for the suggestion x
