Same. Especially knowing about the Paul Harrell situation. Lost my dad 3 years ago and with every person that I have any respect for who passes, it just feels like it stacks up fast and I'm thankful for the older folks on that list that are still around and healthy.

Want to smile even more? I traded in 2 break action single shot shotguns + $400 to make my first purchase, a WASR at 18 years old. The shotguns were gifts as a teen but I wanted something I could shoot more than 1 shot lol

Hickok reminds me of a good friend of mine who was a Virginia State Trooper that passed away 5 years ago. Him and I would get together and reload ammo, target shoot many times. He was also shooting instructor. Plus Oliver the first time I saw his video of him and his hit song Rich man North of Richmond he looked just like my x son in-law . Who I still have a great relationship with , he is a Staunton Police officer, but just a good country boy, here in Virginia.

As a retired soldier, the fact that the AK was the preferred rifle of our most likely enemies was precisely the reason why I had to have one. I was always of the opinion that a soldier should own a close approximation of his issued firearms and those of his enemies in order to ensure familiarity and ease of use. As well as accuracy.
