Property tax rates keep going up to benefit the wealthy and squeeze out the middle class and poor. Homelessness is at its highest point in decades while investment properties sit empty. You don't need to be a genius to know that even if your wages go up slightly, if a wealthy person gets way more wealthy, your prices go up. Imagine a farmers market where a billionaire is willing to pay a million dollars for an apple. He's gonna get that apple while everyone else starves, even if the farmer has enough apples to go around.

Property tax rates keep going up to benefit the wealthy and squeeze out the middle class and poor. Homelessness is at its highest point in decades while investment properties sit empty. You don't need to be a genius to know that even if your wages go up slightly, if a wealthy person gets way more wealthy, your prices go up. Imagine a farmers market where a billionaire is willing to pay a million dollars for an apple. He's gonna get that apple while everyone else starves, even if the farmer has enough apples to go around.
