Enjoyed your video. I own a C70 and I love it. If money were no object I'd run out and buy a C400 and a C80. The full frame aspect is the most compelling part of the C80 for me. But those two cameras are not going to get me anymore work so I am going to stick with my C70. It has punched way above its weight and hung in there with Sony Venice and Arri Alexa on big productions. On small productions I run and gun alone and it does the job.
I think it helps with the algorithm. I follow medical doctors on TH-cam and they recently started doing it. I was shocked because it’s something they’ve never done and it looks strange for them to do compared to an influencer or anyone else
I'd say shallow debt of field, field of view...your wide angle lenses aren't as wide with the super 35...also full frames are usually better in lowlight...having said that, Arri Alexas been shooting blockbuster movies on Super 35 for years so take that for what it's worth. For my Super 35 cameras I use a speed buster if I need more light and a wider field of view, safes me a few thousands in some cases.
I see you are using the CN-R lenses in this shoot.... and I have had one on order..... but are they really 8k resolving?.... sharper than the CN-Es?.... I know that have tech to provide distortion correction, but is that really the only benefit over the CH-E version?.... I don't want to blow £4k per lens if no better than Cn-Es.... Sorry for all the questions.
@@neomatrix888 no camera has perfect AF. It’s definitely improved but even in the review videos the it now, I’ve seen moments where multiple people in frame it will jump from one to another. It’s great for what it is but still not perfect. Plus I basically operate with Cine and manual lenses outside of 1 lens for the FX3 for me personally AF is not really a big deal.
@@JamesJacksonFilmz i am on A7s III and bmpcc 6K pro for now... looking for the eventually upgrade but maybe i will waiting for some new Nikon/Red cheap alternative...
@@eddiep27 not really. You can shoot in the non raw codecs and the ergonomic features of the camera will be a great asset (built in Nds, triple native ISO, Timecode dual media recording) are all very major features to have in a shooting environment like a wedding.
I shoot RAW when I'm shooting weddings for myself and compare them to when I shoot for companies like George Street who only require 1080, the difference is worth the extra time in post IMO. The lighting changes so often, just nice to be able to recover all my details.
Yea with the early footage I’m seeing I prefer the look of the c70. I think I saw someone mention you can turn the sharping down. The c70 just seems more *filmic* for a lack of a better word.
For a different point of view Roger Deakins prefers the sharper more detailed look. You can always get softer look through lens choices or diffusion filters and in post.
I’m so glad I stop buying new cameras and focused more on business and the creative side more. I would go broke with all this hot new piece of gear ass coming out right now lol
Better than KX?? In what way?? If all you’re talking about is autofocus then yes. Image? No. Codec? No. They’re 2 diff tools although they can be used for similar situations. I have KX and C70 and they’re both amazing for their own purposes.
@@creativegreatsvisuals yeah but there are several reasons why they don’t. The KX is critically sharp in 6k and the native 4k of the c70 is generally considered to be pretty soft… therefore it’s a tell when I’m using each, but color wise, I’ve found reds and canon to be in a similar place.. ie skin leans towards the red vs Sony and Nikon that skew more green.
What? Canon better than a Komodo X? How is that possible? Boy oh boy! How impressive. Wow! I'm literally shocked to my very core by this incredible news.
I really like this camera. Unless Panasonic announces and ships the S1Hm2 (this year) with similar features, this is my new camera. Only thing missing is the open gate.
@@MichaelAndrews-rp2od yeah not having open gate is a shame. However it does appear to have a 3:2 sensor like the c400. So here’s hoping for future firmware 🤞

@@josephberkeley I think it’s still a great camera and you’re right, it punches well above its weight. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Nice camera. Love that it does oversampled 4K60 video, and from some of the early reviews, the image quality is beautiful. Wow!
Couldn't agree more! I looks to be an amazing camera.
What is it with youtubers with opening their mouths for cover pictures 😂😂

Hello and thank you for your content.
Do we lose dynamic range or megapixels when switching to Super 35 for 4K?
What are the drawbacks?
Thank you.

Is one able to shoot 4k120p in the RAW mode if recording externally, like with the Atomos Ninja V?

What's the best website to buy used gear in your opinion?
@@cryptobeetle you could buy from Lensrentals and MPB there’s also of course EBay and Amazon.
SONY WAKE UP BRO ! it's time to send the news FX3/6/9 MARK II ! Answer NOW !
The fact that it’s full frame is just amazing! So many good features..if they can recreate the c70 they can recreate the r5c!! (Hopefully)
At this point it would be better to buy the C80 than the Pyxis 6K.
