  • What we eat has a profound effect on our skin - it’s the largest organ in the body and its appearance closely reflects its health!
    Today I try something a little bit different and share what I eat in a day to achieve my dietary goals, focusing on high quality protein consumption, plenty of “good” fats and harnessing the power of anti-inflammatory foods. “Inflammaging” affects all our tissues, not just our skin so this approach to your diet has far-reaching effects beyond healthy skin.
    I’m not suggesting I do this every single day - perhaps 80% of the time - but I find that creating a habit of eating well becomes easier the more you do it.

    Loved this Sam! So did my dogs, they always look out for Hector and Ginger when I watch your videos on my TV. I’m intrigued by the NMN supplement and also the magnesium spray, I like to take magnesium before bed as I, find it helps me sleep but I’m not sure that I can take magnesium as well as my iron medication (ferrous fumarate). I also didn’t know about taking the vitamin D spray with fat!
    May I say, your kitchen is looking 😍😍😍. Fabulous information as always.

    Not terrible ideas….but anyone who does not do salads or is picky about food texture likely will not go for this. A simple hack many people will actually use is this…. Veggies can be hidden in your muffins. Think pumpkin bread and carrot cake. As long as the flavor is not too strong and it is shredded or pureed it makes a nutritious and very soft muffin. Use whole grain organic flour and it is even better. And if you are worried about the overall flavor being not perfect add cocoa to make it a chocolate muffin, which easily blends with green or nutty flavors.

      i buy grass fed greek yogurt and the highest fat i was able to find was 2% but its very expensive because only whole foods sells those in Canada.

    Seeds are supposed to be soaked/sprouted before consuming to remove the phytic acid. raw seeds is very hard on the digestive system. Sweet potato should be boiled. Baking them will cause a high insulin spike.

      I don;'t avoid fat (quite the opposite, its essential for a healthy brain and good skin) - but the protein content in this particular yoghurt is higher.

    Heliocare and glutathione are missing in your supplement game. They are great skin boosters, especially for people above 40!

      i would have replaced the raw spinach for broccolis. It gives you Glutathione & Sulforaphane in 1 vegetable plus its low in oxalates unlike spinach.

    Not disrespecting you but could your Vitamin D levels not be a bit low because you are always wearing sunscreen?

    I had my doctor perform a blood test to determine what vitamins I’m low on. I’m only low on Vitamin D and vitamin B. So, I only take these two and I save money not purchasing vitamins I don’t need. I get whatever I need in the foods I eat. I highly recommend doing this to avoid spending money on supplements you don’t need and that will be ejected in your waste. 👩🏽 ✨🥹☺️😌🙂

    Hi Dr. Sam. How do you keep the skin on your body looking so even skin toned. I get redness on my neck and chest which drives me nuts at times. I sometimes use a light self tan on my face and neck but are those things good for your skin. What body washes do you use to keep your skin even toned and do you use things like sponges or the net scrunchies. Looking forward to the video on stress management. Kind regards Julie 💕

      I struggle with redness too ...it comes and goes, depending on how revved up I am! Life. The rest is juts diligent sun screen/avoidance. More on body care coming very soon, I promise!
