What Am I Tumbling Today? 03/13/24

in this video I open up one of my rock tumblers to see what is done with the medium grit stage and what needs to run longer. I also add some more rocks to put in the barrel for medium grit tumbling. I give the ones ready to move ahead a cleanup in the ultrasonic tank. How did the petrified wood, banded iron, agate, jasper and amethyst look? My dad was if not a rock hound at least a fan of beauty in rocks. He said all had at least one good side. He had a wall between the kitchen and living room with a built in aquarium. He used the rocks to make a mosaic or puzzle and covered it all with shellac. Was the best part of his trailer. My sisters fought over it when he passed. Then the one that got it passed. The wall has been part of three homes so far and counting. Just an idea of what to do with the rocks that only look nice on one side.
