    $175 per month. Wow that is ridiculously cheap mate. Locked in for twelve months understandable at that price to guarantee them tenancy and the regular income. Nice condo, furnished, swimming pool area and also a gym. Great value. As you said though a bit of a distance to the touristy part of Chiang Mai but that may well be a blessing to some people that prefer being more isolated with peace and quiet. Cheers Wayne 🤩

    I always enjoy condo tours. Not sure why. For me, the whole point of living in town is to be able to walk outside your door into a neighborhood where you can to buy food, restaurants, etc. So I'm with you. If you don't have that, why not live in the countryside and enjoy that. Take care.

Learned a lot about Buddhism from him in the past on his other channel. It is great to see his insights into Thailand and India. Definitely a good repreive from the desparado travel vloggers these days who all seem the same. Keep it up Wayne.

    This is kind of perfect for me, I wonder if the pool area and such is usually this vacant if so it’s a ….. in the words of Wayne “ A bobby guzler” 😆
    Listening to your closing statements I think it would be a good idea for you to do more of these rental videos and maybe you could ask them if they accept 1-month rentals because I know most digital nomads would be very interested in that information. Great video Wayne, much appreciated.

    Same you , I don't want to have to jump on bike to get some basics .
    They want 3 months up front . One month rent , 2 months insurance= 18,000 . A lot are asking for that . I'll go to one month deposit + 2000 max for electric/water .Take it or leave it

    • @WalkAboutWayne
      @WalkAboutWayne  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, I'm sure she had her wires crossed somewhere, it couldn't have been 1month deposit and 2 months insurance. It was a decent place, not for me but crazy what you can get here still for under $200. Cheers buddy

    @teacherrichard2081 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Cheers, Wayne. Very helpful vids, these accommodation reviews. Sure, it's a bit out of the way if one doesn't have a scooter, but with Bolt taxis so cheap one could easily get to Old City for under 150 baht (£3). If the 7/11 is in walking distance, I'd have no problem with this. 6000 baht (£150) a month for 12-month contract is a Bobby Dazzler of a steal. No Wifi? No problem. For 12 months I'd invest in a 12-month contract for a router and ethernet cable because wifi in hotels are not the best. Cheap water and leccy. All in, £200 a month. I'll be putting this on my list and looking for a Thai language school nearby so I can get the 1-year education visa.

    Thanks for the info Wayne. A separate bedroom would have helped here but for 6000baht it's not bad . A divider wall or sliding door would have been good to separate the bedroom, I agree. I suppose the pool and gym make up for it at 6000. Great price. Yes, would need transport for sure. Thanks mate.

      @@WalkAboutWayne Santitham (if I've located the right place) is far too built up for me. I like waterways, lakes, parks, open spaces etc without having to walk in the road to avoid the bustle of people. I'm in Chang Phueak (just north of Super Highway). Rama IX Lana Park and that massive lake with old bars and restaurants surrounding it, is a perfect afternoon walk and workout in the park before a few evening beers while watching the locals play Woodball (a mix of golf and croquet) as the sun goes down and it cools off. I like the little things in life: peace and quiet; me time; scenery without too many people in my way.

    I like certain things like the closed off kitchen and the layout for a small place but other than that the area is a turn off, construction debris and all. Electric 'around 4 baht' is a bit or a red flag, you'f think she could give you an exact price.
