This is a great video! My husband and I spent 13 days in Cancun with only a carry-on and personal bag each! So, we know it definitely can be done. I have two tips to add. 1. Deep Woods Off makes bug repellent wipes if you find you don't have enough room to carry bug spray as a liquid.
2. Ladies, don't over pack day wear. I wear a bathing suit and sarong most days, staying at an AI. I bring two of each. I use the larger sarongs that can be tied to look like a sundress. They're fine to wear to breakfast and lunch at resorts as long as your bathing suit is dry(ish).

Thank you for making these videos! We ditched checking bags after arriving at MCO at midnight (delayed flight), and waiting over an hour for our luggage. I have the same weekender bag, and I love it.

This is a must watch video. Going with a carry on was so convenient and easy. We discovered that we were able to take everything we needed without the hassle of waiting for luggage.. Just got back from Moon Palace and we loved it. Will go back next year;

@@3Days3Noches No we did not. But they pushed the membership pretty hard; and since we enjoy the pools we did not care for the beach. Overall though a very good experience.

It does ... until your luggage takes an hour or two to come through at the other end ! (and thats assuming it does). Having just been on several flights hand luggage after my last luggage before that took two hours *after immigration* its very freeing to just walk straight past baggage reclaim (and also the check in counters) and go straight to your destination. Friends of mine arrived at heathrow last week luggage took an hour.

You are talking about the stomach bathroom, I recommend a supplement of magnesium at night, I take it everyday I have high BP. It also helps with sore muscles and keeps you regular.

There are two additional things that I always take on the plane with me. One is a bottle of Dristan. My sinuses give me hell when the plane is descending. The other is a small flashlight. It frequently comes in handy when searching for something on your seat, in your bag, or that may have fallen on the floor under the seat in front of you. I also keep it with me when out after dark because the sidewalks in Mexico are frequently a little uneven.

I love to travel carry on only when I can but for an all inclusive I do checked because its included with the airline I book with whereas a carry-on isn’t, and either way we’re waiting for the people with checked luggage to get the bus/transfer to resort.
Always allergy meds! Had a miserable couple days when I had allergies internationally at a non-allergy season at home

I am sorry but the no checked bag is unrealistic for me, but not for the reason you might think. I am a redhead with the palest skin you'll ever see, and If I go out on the beach all day long for 7 days, I will be using AT LEAST a whole (BIG) bottle of spray sunscreen PER DAY. And I am not buying those at the resort prices 😂. Those tiny bottles will do me no good and even if they did I couldn't fit enough in my quart size bag.

Just buy travel size bottles and put all the sunscreen you might need 👍🏽

Thanks so much! I actually never go away during Christmas. My kids don’t like to be away from home then and the airports and prices are too crazy. But I really want to do it at least once! That’s a great question! If budget is not an issue Beaches in Turks and Caicos does everything top notch

Cpaps do not count as a personal item or carry-on. They are exempt because they are considered a medical device. I just use bottled water from the resort to fill by machine. For the week I am there it works fine.
Ive just come back from a month in Hawaii from Europe carry on only two bags like yours and i *still* took too much. For example extra shorts when i could just be wearing my beachwear shorts whilst my washed shorts are drying.

Is there a total maximum amount of liquids? Each container is limited to 3.4 ounces, but I have a lot of hair and really need good quality shampoo to combat the damage from the ocean, so if I pack a couple will they be taken away?
It’s weird because they say you can only bring one ziploc bag of liquids but I always bring more than that and it never gets flagged. I just always make sure it’s the right size
For three days sure. 7 or more. No chance. We did take a carry on with some things in case we lost a bag. Big tip. You can never take too much sunscreen and medicine. My word, if you have to buy any of that on the resort 💰💰💵💰

as per all the videos I’ve seen on youtube, packing sunscreen is a must but how many sunscreens per person can we have? if let’s say we’re staying for a week? how is it going to get thru customs? along with all your other toiletries?
Of you are checking a bag in you can bring. Larger sizes. If not you have to bring travel sizes for carry ons. There is not a limit to the number per person that I’m aware of!

I've packed for 12 days in a carry-on plus personal item. I pack my clothes in the deeper half of my carry on, in a large packing cube. I lay everything as flat as possible and find I fit more that way. The other half is reserved for underwear, purse, footwear, and clothing steamer. My personal item carries my medicine pouch, toiletries,, empty Thermos water bottle, Chargers, snacks, hand sanitizer, Disinfectant wipes and jewelry.
I also have a very slim cross body bag containing my wallet, phone, lip balm and mints/gum. It fits inside my personal item if the gate agent stops me for having 3 bags.
Squish and smoosh ! I have been traveling with a carry on for 15 years. Even went to Ireland for 2 weeks and packed in a carry on! Also- bring travel size wrinkle spray. To re wear a shirt- spray on pits and everywhere else and iron. Smells and feels like fresh washed!

@@3Days3Noches yes, Thank you! My favorite regular flip flop is the Croc Kadee II. I have a hard time finding flip flops that the straps across the feet are not too loose. I hate trying to hang on to my shoes by my toes! Lol

Good video! As for sandals, I recommend multipurpose sandals that can be worn in the shower too. Protect those feet from 🦠 haha. Also, for those who do decide to check bags (and you have an iphone), apple AirTag is a MUST!.

Questions, please. My family and I are going this coming November 25th. I know not to drink the water, but what about coffee. Do they make their coffee with bottled water? Also, I was told not to use the coffee maker in my room. Is that true? Also, is the ice made with bottled water? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for watching!! What resort?? Yes they make coffee and ice with filtered water. They don’t want their guests getting sick. The coffee maker you could run through a few cycles with filtered water only to clean it out but other than that it should be okay. Just used filtered water etc.

Yeah, it's a quart. I think some airports must enforce it more than others, but that's the rule.

For anyone reading, the TSA rule is quart size but you can get quart size bags that have depth from Amazon, that fit more than a zip lock baggie.

I go to Vegas 3 to 4 times a year. What case or pack would you use to go to an AI for 3 to 4 days? I use a pack now and it barely fits in everything. Can't get extra shoes in etc.
Hi! Do you mean luggage? Usually I use a carry on roller and then a personal carry on. I’m a premier member on United so I can have 2! Hope that helps

hello! what does the checked bag in mean ?
Hi!! Thanks so much for watching!! A checked bag is when you are at the airport and you go to the counter and they check your bags in and out them under the plane carriage. It’s a bigger bag but you can’t exceed a certain weight. But when you get to the destination you have to go to the checked bag area and wait for them to unload them all and put them in the carousel. Also if you get to the gate and the flight is canceled it can take awhile to retrieve it. Carry on bags are much smaller but they never leave you etc
