Apparently some of these 4wd were made by a company in Tasmania. Watched a video about it some time back . Wish I had the memory to give you more information

Yes that correct that was Arthur Hayward for the Holdens that were made from Sandman Panel Vans, Kingswood Panel Vans, Utes and Station wagons but for the fords I am not sure about them.

Top video guys, yeah the 4wd models were often made by late Arthur Hayward in Tasmania, he also built a few Holden ones too... never heard that overlander was the wrong thing to say, that's what Arthur called them. Kinda unrelated but I had owned a Holden HX Ute Overlander that was built here in Perth by the late Mick Tuana of Molecraft Engineering who built many of the Holden one's in Kelmscott and is also known for building the first aussie bigfoot VP Commodore ute then a VY SS Crewman body went onto it.

Wicked mate I am glad you enjoyed it. It funny how people get offended over these things, however, I love finding out the history and the background of Motor Industry in Australia and the world really. Back in our day, people were not afraid to pick up the spanners or grinding and start a project to custom it from one look to the other look. I would love to get an interview with the VP bigfoot that would be awesome.
