I am a Holden guy but have always had a soft spot for the Ford Coupes. So happy to see that you and your dad had a strong connection. You will always have a great memory every time you are in it. Hope you can pass it down yourself in the future. On to the car now, I love it. It looks great, tough and sounds so good. Love you plans for it in the future as well. I remember watching John Goss winning Bathurst and the cars being released to the public after that. Too young to buy one as only 14 then and I know how rare they are as I haven't seen one in years. I am in WA so will keep an eye out for you on the road. Cheers

A little tip for anyone doing this, if you rewire, extend etc, use the factory coloured wires, don't use all black wires incase you get an electrical problem. ( Ask me how i know). 😢

John you have taken me down memory lane, and back about 49 years ago. My name is John also. I bought a used HJ Kingswood. 253 , 4 on the floor. Bucket seats. The holden dealer in Moree time after time said dont you sell this car, it goes as good as any 308 I have tuned. Sadly it went many years ago. Your car is imaculate. Love everything about it. Those wheels are true gems. Love the dash in it too. I would not sell it. If I had the money and could drive it would be mine for sure
