Hi Alex , Great to see you getting back on form 😀 the sparkly eyes are back and you seem happier , You have made the right choice ! Looking forward to following along on new adventures . Good luck in all you do !
I get you, I was born in 67 and many of these toys I played with in the 70's, isn't nostalgia like a warm blanket on a cold day? I was a tom boy who loved and still love boy's toy's.
Sears Christmas catalogs, we would wait all year for this catalog to arrive. Mom would let each one of us go through the book and circle everything we wanted and put our name on them. Then mom and dad would do some of their shopping from the catalog. So many hours spent looking at every page in the catalog, and being disappointed when I got to the boy stuff sections.
I’m amazed at your knowledge about the toys, cars & everything you find. There’s no school a person could attend to learn so much. Thank you for today’s video.
I have an old stuffed Lassie toy dog that still has the paper label tied around his neck from my Uncle. My Uncle Ken took great care of his toys as a kid. He's still the same way with everything he owns. I think some people are just more conscious about their belongings, especially if they grew up poor, because owning a toy was more special. My Nan and Pop had 9 kids (7 surrvived past childhood). They couldn't afford much, but they worked their tails off to provide for their family. Nan lugged water and made bread everyday, and Pop worked at the shipyard all day long and worked hard to build the home outside. Lots of great memories of playing at Nan's house but not a lot of toys kicking around...we played with grown-up things and made our own fun outside. Anyways, these toys reminded me of my Lassie dog and brought back great memories. thanks 🥰
It is good to see you doing what you like. I’m glad you are happy. You are smiling again. I wish you all the best of luck in your new endeavors. Looking forward to seeing you again and all the new videos. Honey, take care and stay safe and beware of false prophets. Love you 🕊👍🍺🌞🌹💋🇺🇸😇❤️🙏
Sears catalogues were the best part of the Christmas season. It was so magical to look through them to pick a new outfit and yes, circle all the toys I dreamed of. I still get an excited feeling looking at the old ones today. I collect old Mattel dolls and Barbies so the catalogues are indeed a great reference to have.
it makes perfect sense to me that you should pick and process and send to auction...it makes items available to a world of people that would never be able to come to the store. I was so happy to see the store being renovated and the addition, but your decision to sell makes sense to me....thank you for all the many hours of entertainment and inspiration and even education that you have provided .
I am sorry about the store, it was amazing in there. But to be honest, I just love when your out hunting, and finding cool stuff. The hoarders houses were amazing! I will keep watching, no matter! Please post the link for the Auctions!! Great video!!
wow, just wow, thanks for sharing these things with us, brings back my early childhood (i'm 63), just gives me a warm happy feeling to see those things. I used to go through those catalogs and wish on something each page for Christmas.
That Daimler car would b cool to rent out for weddings...take the bride to church. The flag mount could put one that says here comes the bride! Cool finds!
Hi Alexander, I can hear your renewed zest in your voice, very happy for you and yours. Also thanks for pumping out the content, I'm hanging out with C19 and can't do much but watch you tube.
Thunderbirds oh my gosh!!! We loved for the sears roebuck or Simpson sears catalogues and they would be really well worn by Christmas. Fun memories thanks!😊🇨🇦
@Curiosity Incorporated The Watch! ⁉Did you get the LED watch working?❓ Oooh I must know! 😁🥰 But what an awesome episode, where every find was great! I too would go back to that house and see if they want to sell more stuff. Your job really is free as can be. And so divers! 😃 🛻 Can't wait to come along for the Daimler restoration either. And the VW's, and whatever else you line up for fixin' haha. Thank you for taking us along!
Oooh those Pyrex bowls 💞🙌 what I wouldn't give to get my hands on those haha. What an amazing find on this estate. So many of those toys and those Sears catalogs. Those brought me back to childhood Christmas ❤️
I got so exited to see what you picked up on this video. I would love to have the Pyrex dishes for sure!!!! Your knowledge of the merchandise you purchase makes the finds so special. Your enthusiasm is contagious and after your video announcing the sale of the store you have a certain twinkle in your eyes. I am looking forward to the next chapter of Curiosity Inc.
You know Meerscham!!! In Turkiye, I went through a museum of all things Meerscham~ My Hubby was born in Turkiye~ I love watching you unbox your treasures~ so many items brought back memories for me~ I must check in to the redline cars...and check the dozen I have!
Alex, you seem so much happier since you made the decision not to have a retail store in the near future. I love your picking and am so interested in what you find, that kind of thing is perfectly up my alley.
I do remember those crystal radios with the clamp, used to clamp it on to the heating register in the bedroom to listen. Have not thought of those for decades.
Really enjoyed this Video from my childhood thanks for sharing 👍 😀 Good Luck with everything you have going on! Can't wait to see the end results of the Gardens & landscape and the finished garage/man cave ofcource! 😉 Never a dull moment is a good thing to have. ☺
This was such a fun unboxing. Brought back alot of memories. I really appreciate how knowledgeable you are about old things. I hope you do go back for more at the same place. Melissa's muffins must have been a tasty treat after all your hard work. 😊😊😊
As I watched you unboxing treasures you found to pass along, it occured to me that this, your vehicle restorations, your house buyouts/cleanings, and the knowledge you pass on to us all, about the antiques and collectables you love, and the extreme generosity and kindness you show to everyone you meetis exactly why I, and so many others, love to wactch your vlog. It really wasn't about your shop at all. In fact, I believe it started to hold you back from what you love....hunting for, and saving antiques, and helping others is what you're gifted by God to do. No longer will you be so controlled by the need to be at the store. You're free, now, to continue the hunt for treasure, and you've realized the greatest treasure is the time spent with family, because time seems to fly by and before you know it, y
Before you know it, your children will be off raising their own families. We have one chance to instill the values and concern for others, into our children. I'm pleased you've recognized that, sooner than later. Thank you, once again, for another terrific look back into history, through the toys and collectibles you shared with us! God Bless you and your beautiful family. I'm looking forward to many more exciting adventures to come!
Wow! So interesting to see what people saved over the years. Alas, we moved around so much when I was a child, none of our toys survived. Thank you for sharing your finds, Alexander!
Same! When I went to pick up my high school transcript they had copied the front of my folder jacket starts in kindergarten and follows you from grade to grade and school to school every single time you moved. I had moved 14 times and I know of at least 5 that my mom never even reported because we would be a month before school was out.
Glad to see that you are still going to do the antique business. I remember Gumby and his horse, also that catalog you showed I wasn't even 1 yr old yet. lol I didn't know what to think when you said that you were selling the business period. I understand family time and needing it. You have a great day.
Great finds😃So happy for you and your family and you get to what you want whenever you want. 😊 I'm sure you will continue to find and save so many treasures from the past, love to see them. See you on the next one and blessings 🙌 to you all.
I remember when that Batman Halloween Costume first hit the shelves. I was more than a little mad that there wasn't anything for girls that was as just as cool!! Thanks Alex!!;)
The Bride's ride looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing where that project goes, and its history! Nice haul, too! I 'think'' those Man From Uncle cards have Puzzle Pieces on the reverse. When you flashed the back of that one card that is exactly where my brain went, as IF I had seen it before! :-D IF they are Puzzle Pieces, it should give you a good idea on whether or not it is a complete set. Thank you for the work, Alexander!
Great score with this haul. Hope yesterday's auction went well. The auctioneer must've had a hot date! Maybe he was attempting a land speed record. 👍😁🏁
Hello Alex good to see you again, how’s things going and hello Melissa I know that those muffins you doing gonna be so delicious looking so yummy😋. 🌺🌈🦋💖❤️😊😘🙏🏻many Blessings to all. Lots of love and hugs from Edith in Australia 🇦🇺 Cheers!!!
Wow, talk about some memories. I was born in 1962 and I had that exact Handy Andy tool set in the metal box. Yeah, it had a plane, red in color. I also remember looking through those old Sears catalogs like that when I was little.
Hi again Alex, Bob from Australia again, what I meant was trying to say was I gave up part of my dream when the girls were still at school. Now some years later I have a very strong family unit. What seemed important to me back then now seems very unimportant. I collect diecast, AMT 1/25 scale cars hot rods & customs. Love your channel..
A few months back, as you were planning and siting the new house on your land, I recommended you leave a route to the back of your land to access a second future building and space to turn around trucks and trailers. No matter what their final destination, I always found it easier to bring Purchased loads home, for cleaning, processing and any needed repairs before distribution. Now that the store is closing, you might consider that additional building on your site. I suggest a large, tall Pole Barn style to house your buying and selling.
Oh man, those Saturday Evening Post mags! I worked in the circulation dept. in 1975/76 and my oldest son has a hand made birthday card that the art dept made for him with pop out paper balloons:-) He was 1 yr old then. My then husband and I was very broke. So they threw my son a party:-) He's 45 yrs old now:-) And he has his baby book, which has the card in it:-) How much does a vintage Post mag go for these days? The stories I could tell............lol:-) The publishing company's wife was such a trip, that job was NEVER boring, that's for sure:-) Nice scores!
This was a fantastic haul! That kid had a lot of really cool toys. I have one of those mini cameras that was my grandfather's. He liked to collect all sorts of things. I love mine because it looks so cute on my bookshelf and I always think of my PawPaw when I see it.
I enjoy watching you go through boxes. My parents used to antique. My dad loved to sit and talk us to death of what he found. (Cliffird gets a job... about time🤣🤣)... my dad loved marbles. Carried gun cases filled with layers of egg crate foam. Hmmmm... don't think that would be acceptable today🤣🤣. He's been gone 18yrs. They stay with us. Look for dimes. They say loved ones leave money to show you their presence. I collect the dimes I find. They are only a breath away. Ty again for showing the sort. Explaining well whst you see.
It did seem to me that you became more interested in the quick turnaround from the auctions. Waiting for merchandise to find its forever home can become a very expensive proposition and probably the undoing of many antique and specialty stores. how many times can you move, rearrange, dust, and polish the same merchandise and find that your life is fulfilling? I am happy that you have found a way to do what you do in a way that is satisfying for you. On the road again.
Glad to see the old Alex back. You did the right thing for you and your family. The history of the car is interesting, maybe researching the history of old items could be fun?
OMG The Simpson sears Christmas magazine is awesome I remember as a kid looking through it and wanting everything anyway that is so cool I would love to see what kids had new back in the mid 60's
It’s pretty clear you have a lot of experience with these old toys, Alec - you seem amused, but my jaw dropped at the great condition of these! 😄 Great collection- thanks for going through everything!
Like many other followers, I was disappointed when you told us you were selling the store. But I have to say that I have noticed that you seem revitalized, almost like a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders, since you made the decision to sell, so you must have made the right decision. You found some incredible items in this pick and all of the items were in great condition considering that back in the 50's and 60's we actually played with our toys rather than put them on a shelf as a collector's item. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the upcoming auctions!
I am a minute and a half in and I just had to comment that you look and sound so. much. more relaxed. I know that there is still stress happening, but you sound lighter than I have heard for a looooong time. ❤️
Meerschaum pipes become works of art as the resin from the tobacco seeps through. Almost like stained wood. Unfortunately I've been told that the oils from your skin can have an undesirable result on a new/white pipe. Not sure if it's true. Might want to research that one. Lol Thanks for the vid. Unboxing is always fun.
Sears Christmas wish book..we looked forward to getting it every Christmas to look at the new stuff for Christmas..what memories..and my mom had the pyrix and I now have. So many memories..I have Gumby..lol .but I don't have the horse..and the boat..use to have lots of those .I wonder what happened to them .
You seemed to be in your element in this video. Excited even. You’ve been juggling so many things this past year. Maybe you just had too much on your plate and you burnt out. Do take care of you. Great haul.
They are both black and claret. The State cars were, and still are in both. Personal vehicles of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh have almost always been Edinburgh green.
Hi Alex , Great to see you getting back on form 😀 the sparkly eyes are back and you seem happier , You have made the right choice ! Looking forward to following along on new adventures .
Good luck in all you do !
I noticed it too Alex. Many blessings to your family 👪.
So odd when you see toys and magazines from the year you were born....but kind of makes you feel old 😀💕
I get you, I was born in 67 and many of these toys I played with in the 70's, isn't nostalgia like a warm blanket on a cold day? I was a tom boy who loved and still love boy's toy's.
You already appear happier. I think a big burden was lifted from your shoulders. Hope you have a fabulous day. Hugs from NY

Growing up in the 50's with my brother, .you brought back a lot of memories > Thank you!
I’m amazed at your knowledge about the toys, cars & everything you find. There’s no school a person could attend to learn so much. Thank you for today’s video.
From a former school teacher…never stop learning. Knowledge is power!

LOVE the white wall tyres . did not know they were oftentimes painted on!!

What an incredible haul. Lots, and lots of wonderful treasures. Many great memories re-lived watching this today. Thanks Alex!
Oooh those Pyrex bowls 💞🙌 what I wouldn't give to get my hands on those haha.

Enjoying this home building series-can't wait to see what is next.

Nice finds. That kid really took great care of his toys. Even the cards were mostly in great shape.
Fabulous finds. Takes me back to when I was a young kid. Thank you for reminding me how much fun I had as a kid.

Love the old Daimler (pronounced DAY-MLER). My dad had one in the early 60's. It had a walnut dashboard and real leather seats.
That vehicle is GORGEOUS 😍😍
Great Findings!! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
Great haul Alex! Thanks for sharing. Love the Catalogs! Can’t wait to see you getting settled in your new home.
Alex, you seem so much happier since you made the decision not to have a retail store in the near future. I love your picking and am so interested in what you find, that kind of thing is perfectly up my alley.
wow what an awesome haul!!
Great buys Brother Alexander. Thanks for sharing 😀 👍 ♥️ 🇨🇦🇺🇸🌎🎉🎉👏👏🎉🎉💯💯

About the puzzle...I thought so too but wasn't sure.
Nice pick! Good luck to you Alexander. 😊❤
Awesome again🎸🎸🎸🎸
Daimler is pronounced Dameler in England as in dame Vera Lynn 👍love to you all in canada
Alex' pronunciation is actually very close to the original German pronunciation of the company name
@@henrietteneuschwander219 very true but it is a British car 👍
I just made a trip to my childhood 50s and 60s. Thank you!
My favorite were the Beatles Cards. Dad died in 62 when I was 12. They we're my rock to hang on toooo!!! Beatles Forever!!
Great score with this haul. Hope yesterday's auction went well. The auctioneer must've had a hot date! Maybe he was attempting a land speed record. 👍😁🏁
Another great transformation well done!!
Alex, good luck to you with your new enterprises. Don't be concerned about what anyone says - especially from social media. Take care and stay warm.
Wow what a great haul, that was very enjoyable!

Cool vintage car. Can't wait to watch you get it fixed and drivable.
That was a great haul for sure.
I really enjoy watching these hauls you make keep them coming thanks
I also prefer collect some antiques in order to enlarge the collection of mine so how ever thank you for presenting me the video!
A great haul! 😀😃🙂🙃!!
You flew right past that Ralph Backstrom hockey card, and I don't even really follow hockey. That might be worth a little something.
I grew up in Boston, Mass...Loved Bobby Orr
Love all the treasures you found. Hi to Melissa so happy to see you! How Is the new house coming along?
I remember those first LED watches. My ex & my sons were so excited when I got them those for Xmas. Lol.
i worked for Motorola at the time making the insert's for those watches and clocks
I like the picking d side the best. Keep up the good work Alex!!!!
Always look forward to your videos!😊
How cool is that to have a Royal 👑 vehicle. I’m impressed.
Great selection of interesting collectables! XXX
Glad to see the old Alex back. You did the right thing for you and your family. The history of the car is interesting, maybe researching the history of old items could be fun?
If it’s not in the logbook, you could probably write to Buckingham Palace and they might be able to tell you if it was ever used by the Royal family.

The Dame Edna comment has me cackling 🤣🤣 loved her so much..
Always follow your muse, Alex, and you will be happyI hope your car's provenance checks out to be a Royal!
Great video!!!! glad to see you are doing well!! always wish the best for u and your family!!
In 1966 I was 7 yrs old and I remember that Batman cap...I think I had one in fact...great finds...stay safe Alex!
And there is the little mini Texaco station. Aahh love it
I am a minute and a half in and I just had to comment that you look and sound so. much. more relaxed. I know that there is still stress happening, but you sound lighter than I have heard for a looooong time. ❤️
Great Haul! Part of my childhood there....
Meerschaum pipes become works of art as the resin from the tobacco seeps through. Almost like stained wood. Unfortunately I've been told that the oils from your skin can have an undesirable result on a new/white pipe. Not sure if it's true. Might want to research that one. Lol
Thanks for the vid. Unboxing is always fun.
The wind-up helicopter is made by Biller. The propeller works by winding up the key on the helicopter itself. Nice finds Alex!
So many great finds!
Nice items, wow the condition is everything ♥️
Astonishing-what an astonishing soliloquy. 😉 (the car).
Very cool video thanks
You seemed to be in your element in this video. Excited even. You’ve been juggling so many things this past year. Maybe you just had too much on your plate and you burnt out. Do take care of you. Great haul.
Hi Alex. Really nice items today. The Batman Pez has what are called melt marks not glue. Something was touching it and melted the plastic.
