I absolutely love this type of video of you helping your friends with advertising for them! You are the coolest guy I know! Even though it's giving yourself new video content it's still helping others! I can't wait to see what's next!!!
I absolutely love the direction Alex is going with his YT channel. When I saw the video of the store being sold, I thought “no, won’t be the same” I was SO wrong, this is going to be an incredible chapter in the Curiosity universe! ❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderful store, when you look back Alex at what friends you have made through having the store and those lives you have changed it's amazing, I always remember how you helped Adam and Hanz I think a large get together is in order x
@@deanbrunner261 needlepointing? embroidery? He can't sit still long enough me thinkz ;-) But considering the rest of his talents, I think he should keep on keeping on! 😁
I just subscribed to their channel. I love the story of the cameo, and I am so happy that she has it, because she is someone that appreciates the history behind it and she will always take care of it. It is a lovely store, and I'm glad to hear her say that it isn't all about having designer things. It's more about style and quality than designer. I hope their new location is a winner for them, and having their own channel will really bring in the clientele.
Thanks! I love vintage clothes, possibly because I am vintage lol 😆 I was blessed with a mother who could sew absolutely anything and she made a beautiful navy cape for me. It had a silk-y lining and brass-look buttons. I always had the latest fashions thanks to her, because we certainly could not have bought everything "ready made". I'm sure their TH-cam channel will be great because I follow them on Instagram and love the videos!
I never miss their Saturday stories on Instagram. So much fun. We went in there when we were in Edmonton last August and had a great time in the hat room!
Thanks for this great video. Love the vintage fashion, especially the jewelry. I remember going from wearing a uniform in grammar school to no uniform in high school. I wanted to be fashionable; that meant sewing my own clothes. I chose the Vogue designer patterns. Back then they included a designer label to sew into the garment. Wish I saved them.
It is a good thing for my pocketbook that I don’t live there or anywhere close to a place like this or I would never be finished shopping. I absolutely LOVE the clothes that were the cape/coat, kimonos, and the 2 80’s pieces!
I was thinking the same thing about this store being hard on the budget, although I would be a chronic lurker as well. Pop in, oh, twice a week to just see what is new and admire the inventory. 😄
I LOVE this video. I personally sell vintage clothing and I was so excited by the sheer amount of beautiful vintage you found in Madame Rac's home. So happy to finally see the Swish Vintage shop.
Wow, talk about working outside your comfort zone. You did a great job of interviewing these ladies and discussing female vintage clothes. I bet you never thought you would be doing that 5 years ago.
That was fabulous. I have little interest in women's fashion but those ladies were historians of 20th century fashion, social history. I look forward to more of your collector and vendor series. Thanks.
Loved this video! Years ago I worked with Angela and I have visited her shop (though not the new location). Great fun to see her new store - I have to get there soon.

Alexander, you are so very kind to your colleagues who are truly friends ❤. So interesting to see you interact with others in a venue of antiques that are sort of off the beaten path. Things to wear not things to just collect . . . THANKS.
So awesome Alexander! Great video….Thanks so much for sharing! I wish you, Melissa and kids all the success as you start this new chapter in your life’s story, pretty exciting for sure😊 I found your channel just as you started the Potter’s House and have loved watching every video since, it’s always so great when I see another notification come out and I stop what I’m doing and get right at the video, makes me happy! Really found this video, I wanted to see more and see clothes on. I spotted some beautiful fabrics...would have loved to see the full dress 👗 this is the type of vintage I'd love to wear.
I like her taste in clothing brands. Kenzo is a great designer .. vintage high end clothes are very very good quality but there’s non high end labels that are amazing.
I love you Alex. You have been such a big part of my life the last few years. Always looking forward to your videos. Those bathing suits remind me of a beautiful black lace maillot my mom had either in the late 50s or early to mid 60s. It had the nude bodysuit underneath a floral lace. It was barely worn.
Thank you for sharing your visit at the Swish Vintage store and interview with Angelia and Natasha. They are lovely and the store is wonderful! I wish it wasn’t 2,120 miles away from my spot of land. But I will enjoy visiting via the TH-cam and Instagram and looking forward to making new friends. I can see how this new direction will be more fun and lucrative for you and your family. It’s amazing how much you’re cutting your expenses down. Congratulations on a very well designed plan you and Melissa made. I did something similar, I sold my grandparents 1909 home because it’s just too big and expensive to run. I’m happy in my small country home, working in my art studio and having freedom to do just anything I want to do. I’m enjoying, as always, your videos and I believe the ones like best are the ones we’ll be seeing more of. 😊 From my mountain top in middle Tennessee where the hilltops kiss 💋 the sky, I wish you all the best, love Fran

Loved this episode! Talking about vintage clothing, so fun. It’s a good thing I don’t live in the area or I know where I’d be spending money later today.
Cool shop, thanks for sharing with us. Like a lot of ladies, I have gotten rid of things in the past that I wish I had kept, so many things come back in style or they would be cool vintage pieces.
Very nice shop. I wish I still had my green Villager shirtdress from the Sixties. My green and tan wool suit was so chic. Wish there were places like Swish around here. I did save my red and navy platform heels from the Seventies, though!
I hear that every 20 years the styles start coming back. But within that 20 years restart, it's slightly tweaked, and people change it just ever so slightly, so at some point you are representing the 50's, 70's, 90's and 2010's. JNCO, bell bottoms, the things that are absinth so long ago come back strong and in their own style, but still along the lines of where it came from. I dig that these ladies are so awesome ❤️ and that cameo! 😭😭
Great video! Wonderful ladies- I so agree all vintage stuff is way better than current. From fashion, appliances to cars. P.S. Alex you are the only YT channel that I watch to the very end- because love hearing the “ bye for now”. All good wishes to you , your family and friends!

I love that you know what the history of Canada. Being in south western United States, that’s not something you learned 45 years ago in school. That polka dot dress is fabulous.
My Mum was born in 1912 in Gateshead England and spoke about flapper dress in the 1920s. From what she said, it sounded like a short sleeved silk leotard style top with silk scarves as the skirt. Can't recall her mentioning color but what I can recall, vibrant primaries mixed with pastels were popular. Seems easy for costumes with modern fabric. Evidently beads and other long jewelry necklaces were worn round the neck. So I guess that is what a hot girl, I've seen pictures and she was, looked like in the mid to late 20s. Hope I racked up some engagement points for you Alex. Get back to dirty basements, I can relate.

I have a lot of "retro" clothing from the 60s - early 2000s. The loudest pieces are my 80s and early 90s clothes with all the patterns and color! I get mine from the thrift store and I purposefully look for the clothes from older decades because oftentimes they still look brand new, with vibrant colors. Another thing, they're far superior with the quality.

I saw a plastic bag filled with old photographs in a thrift shop once.
It was labeled " Instant Ancestors ".
Ahaha. Brilliant! Was looking for instant ancestors. The regular ones always take too long… 😀
I've always heard it as "instant family". First time hearing it was like 20 years ago.
