mine was in limp due to a bad omp i changed it and it was okay but then i go to change the spark plugs and it went back to limp. (note it was a junkyard omp) do you think it could have went bad as well ?
The omp ? I mean they will throw a code for the omp and wont go past 17 percent throttle you kinda count me off step here as this was a ssv vid lol but i mean it could have gone bad again
Ok my question is would the SSV Solenoid cut all power to the car? I have P0661 and P0037 ( which is the rear 02 ) WOT I can not accelerate past 1500 Rpm and 0 to 60 maybe by christmas
@@TheRogueOnes I was thinking about the OMP before I bought the car about a week ago, But I noticed today, I have near 0 pressure coming out of the exhaust, and the previous owner did think something was wrong with the converter.. But Honestly I couldn't pass the car up for 1300 bucks with 77K miles on it.
@@TheRogueOnes Well, I cut a hole in the converter at the front nearest the manifold, it did help the idle but still capped at 1500, I guess I will check the OMP but from what I know Limp mode is normally 3000
That knock sensor would that cause the engine to make a knocking noise ? Vuz my 8 is doing that and everyone is saying could be my SSV valve but I already cleaned it so not sure what's the noise
@@deepsekhon-f1li mean you can keep running it if you want you will just have less chances of reusable parts and the rebuild will get more expensive. And can just end up dead and stranded on the side of the road when it decides to die completely also that will happen very soon by what you described
@@deepsekhon-f1l what do you mean whats the actual issue ? That it would need a rebuild ? Most of the time with hot start issues all the seal springs have become soft. And are not stiff to make a seal they relax when hot then tighten back up as ot cools
I tuned. It out of the ecu. But if its making. Noise its bad change it. If it shorts out your car will stop running i have seen this happen when they short .
Have a p2004 anyone know whats parts need be replaced please to repair this code in low rpm have bad idle or not start just push the car but the car is on in low rpm have problems but 3k or More rpm the cars runs good
P2004 is your apv valves stuck open your 5th and 6th ports it will idle bad and lose low end power. Its the little motor on the back of your intake manifold twards the front to 10mm bolts holding it. On only thing on the intake manifold on the out side pass side
My rx8 has been stalling at cruise after 2 or so hours of driving. Also stalls when gas is low and heavy acceleration. Is it the fuel pump? Only code I have is 2070 but i cleaned that. Just think it throws 2070 when engine is cold and accelerates.
@@TheRogueOnes it starts right back up after it dies. I let the car roll then dump the clutch to start it up again. I have p2070 but it cannot be ssv as I cleaned it and it made no difference
My car runs like crap, new coils, plugs, wires, MAP, I cleaned ssv valve, still runs bad, so I might have to get a new ssv valve and solenoid. This shit sucks.
@@TheRogueOnes No Codes,I was hunting down my loss of power issues, I just ordered a new ssv valve and actuator, once I install em I will drive car and let you know. Plus a new aem 340lph high flow fuel pump.

the Allen bolts came from ace the fender washers off eBay as there bolts are too short you like this watch the new fc vid with the rx8 engine swap

No the knock sensor. With not make. It make. Noise. A bad vacuum diaphragm on the ssv will tho
I have 2004 rx8 hot start issues any clue
If I start cold it runsfine but once I turn off then engine keep turning after 15mins it starts again normal
Your engine is getting weak and will need a rebuild soon

How did you remove that purge solenoid valve off the intake next to the oil filler cap? Mine is making lots of noise and I’d like to remove it.

Depends on were. U live. If they plug in inspect you will fail but yes the evap line from the tank and. The one on the intake .

Some times you have to take a small flat head and pry the mounting tab up a. Bit. To get it to come off the vacuum block

xESPplayer500x Dose it start right back up quick crank longer. For one is the intake stock a lot can make this happen and how low on fuel

Dose it start back up with the starter quickly. Also a vacuum leak can case it to stall or a cold air intake
I mean it would not hurt to check fuel pressure when this starts happening the pumps are known to go bad or get weak
