Frankel's last ever run, successfully won 14 from 14 races, and is more than likely the best horse of all time. Will he hit the 141 rating? Will he surpass it?
He's - กีฬา
Sir Henry Cecil deserved to have a horse like Frankel , who else could have trained such a great horse but one of the best trainers this country has ever seen . RIP Henry : memories are their forever.
Aiden O Brien
Sir Henry Cecil was the only person in the world who had concerns over whether Frankel would stay a mile and a quarter. This does not inspire confidence in his judgment.l
Quelly ruined one of the greatest performances of all time by sleeping in the stalls... frankel had to give them 4lengths at the start
@@martin..3700 o brien cannot even train Sir Dragonet to win a shit race at Naas... if frankel was trained by o brien, he wouldnot be unbeaten... because most of his horses run shit oneday and few weeks later they win and you wouldnt believe if its the same old horse who was tailed off last time... he's so annoying as a punter... especially when he runs 5 horses in races
Sir Henry was at times a genius. Thank goodness that Khalid Abdullah trusted him with Frankel. After the disgraceful treatment by Sheik Mohammed, he went into a bad time but came back to train a superstar. He never bad mouthed Godophin publically and all credit to him - god knows he had enough reason. History has since proven that the aforesaid owner is a despicable and utterly ruthless person. Sir Henry was so terribly ill by the time the horse was retired, it was a sad sight to see what the ravages of cancer had done. to him; always so dapper and polite. I loved him to bits, he was so special and trained one of my favorites Bosra Sham - gorgeous chestnut filly. The best day for me was his comeback Oaks win with Light Shift. RIP lovely man.
The roar from the crowd as Frankel looms up at the two pole still gives me goosebumps. The Greatest.
Fuckin awesome rip Galileo
I was in that crowd We all went berserk it was one of the best moments of my whole life
@@emmahenry7557 epic I resent you but in a positive way 🎩🔎 best of luck also if u gamble on them ✌️
@@biglcorleone7289 What an awesome sire he was RIP
Even watching his races now still gives me goosebumps….. the greatest ever racehorse ❤
People will always argue about which racehorse is the greatest. One thing that cannot be argued is that Frankel was a fantastic advert for horse racing. He converted many people into horse racing fans! All his races are electric and entertaining!
Black caviar was the best
Frankel was the best ever.ive been watching racing for 50 years seen frankel 3 times at ascot
So true he gripped the nation
@@bnapilo you must be joking Aussie Frankel is a stallion and would be beaten this lady easily
@@kateodonoghue6515 he ran a few in his own backyard compared to the mighty lady she even won travelling so long so she is mighty better than Frankel
Never in my lifetime will a see a superstar like him and also the genius that trained him
Absolutely right brother !!
You won't. I have seen a few - Il Tempo, Dr Fager, Ribot. Possibly Zeyatta would contend, but I think Frankel would account for her too.
You never seen winx then !!
@@hughjohn7778 Or Black Caviar
You didn't see Sea The Stars ? The horse of a lifetime pal, ran at classic distances against the best and beat them all. A better horse then Frankl, who never ran the classic distance, never won the Derby or the Arc de Triomphe
Sir Henry deserved Frankel. What a combination. Never be forgotten.
R.I.P. Henry Cecil & Prince Khalid Bin Abdullah. Both made huge contributions to English racing.
Just phenomenal! You have to realise that Nathaniel is a world class racehorse and as good as an average winner of this race as he prefers an extra 2 furlongs. But Cirrus Des Aigles, that's a f*cking Champion. A horse as good as Cracksman, and a horse who performed at least as well as him in his two demolition jobs of the same G1 race. Well just look how Frankel cruised up powerfully to Nathaniel, and past him onto Cirrus Des Aigles.. Then STILL on the steel, goes past him and delivers a final surge in ground he hates to win the race well. Its absolutely one of his greatest performances, even if people expected a greater visual burst of acceleration - but please just admire what he accomplished getting out late, running on ground he hates and the unbelievable way he cruised up to multiple G1 Champions. He was a horse blessed, and touched by The Creator in ways we may never see again. An outstanding racehorse, and the absolute gold standard of equine racing greatness.
Totally agree mate ..poetry in motion ..never been a better horse
Wow, Lee, beautifully said!
So brilliantly said. 👏i
Well said! #2022
Absolutely mate it’s the opposition he beat that will always make him the greatest!
Sir Henry lived long enough to see this happen. A quiet, modest, humble aristocrat, a true character, he masterminded a brilliant horse. Someone once asked him how he knew when and where to race Frankel. His simple reply "He'll tell me..." Genius.
Agree 100%. I remember a documentary about Cecil and he was sitting on his grey horse overseeing the runners on the gallops. A young girl comes up to him and says "any tips today Mr Cecil. He replies "not today, but you see that horse leading all the others, he will win next years Derby". Horse in question Reference Point.
No doubt, of all of Sir Henry Cecil’s altercations off the racecourse: on it he was the most gifted trainer ever for me. All those owners that left him because of his affection for beautiful females whether that be equine or not- Wildensteins, sheik Mohammed
The ground was pretty desperate that day. Phenomenal horse.
What a horse it was fitting that Henry Cecil trained the great Frankel brilliant combination RIP Henry you were a great man will always be remembered 👏👍
Agree sir henry.cecil and frankel.will always be remembered
Born On This Day - 11th February 2008
Happy 9th Birthday, to one of the greatest flat horses ever,
FRANKEL
Beating cirrus des aigles on soft ground after giving away a few lengths is something really special
Cirrus was an old man and on the slide by then, also on Frankels home territory. Cirrus would have smoked him a year before on home turf.
@@ajvindiesel8517Citrrus won three more group ones after this race and beat the Arc winner Treve you're talking rubbish.
@@Rivelino824facts son, cirrus came to another country which forces a horse to lose several kgs of weight with minimal time to put it back on. Frankel mollycoddled back home to beat bang average milers in average times. Zafonic woulda smoked him
@@ajvindiesel8517 Dumbo zafonic couldn't even win the Sussex stakes. Wouldn't call Canford cliffs average he beat Goldikova one of the best miles ever. Frankel beat Canford cliffs on the bridle. Dumbo before you talk to grown ups get you're facts correct. OK Dumbo get back to bed.

Absloutely💯
Every time I see this, I know that Cirrus des Aigles is a great one. Still doing it now! Shows how good Frankel was.
CDA a great one😂😂😂😂. Excelebration another overrated horse
Frankel never beat a good one even. He was great, but he beat dross. It's not his fault.
There was no Roberto to deflate his bubble. He got lucky. CDA is no Roberto, No Chief Singer, No Bering. No Mill Reef
Great ones beaten by Great ones.
CDA is not a great one.
I watch this video at least once a week.
This is poetry in motion, watching Frankel destroy the opposition.
Many thanks,Sir Henry.
will never be a Nijinsky
charliebrockett destroy lol didn’t destroy anything that’s funny
Brive dancer
dancing brave
2 legends, Frankel and Sir Henry
I miss Frankel. Anybody else?
Yep. This was his greatest race by a long way.
zenyatta is the best horse ever... she is a horse I miss..
She was good no doubt... But the best ever? She wasn't even the best distaff in her distance range in her generation.
B Gardiner exactly, zenyatta was a nice horse. not even in the top twenty horses of all time...compare her career to phar-lap for starters, do some research and get back to me.
Get back to you? Mate, I will forget more about Phar Lap than most ppl will ever know. Perhaps you should do some research and get back to me. You could do worse than looking at my AC Handicap video on here
Never gets boring watching the great Frankel
The more I look Frankel videos the more intense the goose bumps get,the lump in my throat just wouldn't go away.......Sir Henry, thanks
frankel lamtarra like you and many others, I watch the re runs just to feel good (I also watch Desert Orchid’s Gold Cup win too)
Couldn't agree more, still tear up every time I watch him and Sir Henry, just amazing
An exciting horse 🐎 to watch.
time to see a doctor
What a horse what a trainer there will be no better ever god bless sir henry
Love Frankel. Rubbish ground, start for him. But still bossed it. And to the unique Henry Cecil and his beautiful wife. Her kiss to him. So touching.
Great watching this back. Sir Henry Cecil... sadly passed, Frankel... happily retired and producing great youngsters & Tom Queally... our in the wilderness (I feel for him)
greatest ever horse trained by the greatest ever trainer both will be sadly missed legends
Agree on the trainer not the horse
In unsuitable conditions for him. He still prevailed. Fantastic horse indeed, Frankel.
The Bruce Lee of horses. Modest. Humble. Show me the track, I'll win. 14 out of 14. Unbeaten. Up there with Nijinsky in my view. Superstar.
why frankel raced only 14
The way that Frankel effortlessly loomed up to the leaders at the 2 furlong marker, making great horses look pedestrian.
There are just so many wonder horses and Frankel was surely one of them
The story of Henry Cecil and Frankel should be made into a film.
I love how he draws level and then pressed that button to say let the race begin
Frankel literally kept sir Henry alive rip a incredible trainer you and Steve cauthern made me a few pounds, ie oh so sharp reference point etc,he was at the time the ultimate champion trainer
And three years after his retirement,Cirrus Des Aigle is still Frankelling the form!
Haha yes he put Al kazeem in his place!
+postcardterry Yep and all the others he beat well alot were champions.
The highest ranked horse ever and for good reason, even before that Henry said Frankel was not only the best he ever trained but also the best he had ever seen and Henry would certainly be the best judge of a horse that I ever saw.
Rankings mean nothing, it's an absurd system, I'm sure you know it.
@@salsapica2458 that's the best system we have. Frankel is the greatest.
His gnns win was like a racing movie it was unreal
Wish he'd have gone for the Arc after what he did at York, the way he bolted through the line over 10f that day was unreal. Quite simply the greatest horse I will ever see. Every race brings a tear to the eye, and he dragged Quelly round with him as well. What a legend.
James Richardson.
He could have won at any distance, on any going.
Such was his brilliance and class, only a fool would knock his achievements.
He had a legend as a trainer too, of course.
Hair raising stuff, what a champion! Missed the break and still managed to win going away to beat some really smart horses. Absolutely loved to watch Frankel in action!
One of th greatest horses ever, retired 2 erly, RIP SIR HENRY
Frankel made world class horses look like they should be running at Thirsk on a cold Wednesday nite..people who don't think he is a champion are deluded
Alfie mares not to mention he broke appallingly and lost about 2 lengths. And quelley didn't even crack the whip until a furlong out. Too easy against the best there was.
Best horse I've seen in a lifetime.
@@adrianprince1715 his owner from Saudi Arabia ❤️🇸🇦#1
Anyone who things he bt world class horses need there heads looked at really excelabration roderic O'connor zoffany Canford cliff. Get real
Let's be honest. A great horse but he never beat world class competition.
Without doubt the Best horse I’ve ever seen. Seen some bloody good horses over the years so you think might and power northerly but none of them would get close to Frankel
Cotton wool champion. Nearly all of his wins were over the mile, beating small fields in England.
Never travelled and beat horses from overseas. Never won over a mile and 4 furlongs. Overrated.
Have seen Dancing Brave??
I take it you have not seen Dancing Brave.
Such a beautiful horse he as a place in my heart I watch this at home and I cried he is stunning😘😉😇😇💟💝💟💝💟💝💟
Brings tears to me eyes wqatching that.
I absolutely LOVE all of these amazing animals and their stories! They were loved by owners, trainers, fans, etc... Unlike the brutality in dog racing, just saying. I love hearing Secretariat, Zenyatta, Runhappy and now Frankel's stories. I'll continue to watch these videos and then again!
what a special horse, after all those years still like to watch it
The best horse have seen in my life and probably my life time brilliant trainer sir Henry r.i.p
sent by the angels for a man.who was dying so sad but so great his name is etched with one of the greatest race horses ever such a great end to the horses career n a man's life they shud make a movie one day
I think Tom Queally only ever hit Frankel twice in it's career, absolutely astounding racehorse. The best ever.
I watched this horse work out on warren hill I walked back to my car thinking. Ridiculous Talent !!!!!!
This horse brought so much excitement to the sport.since his retirement, I'm not that interested who wins or loses.
I always root for his progeny to win, he's sired some serious runners.
2023 and he’s still the greatest, what a horse he was!
Great call! Great horse!
I can only echo the comments below - 9 years ago now but I still watch this once a week - "Every once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, God sends us a Fairy-tale and our lives are enriched"
Great horse and brilliant trainer.
Finally an ever-winning horse that survives to the point of getting to stud.
A trully great racehorse, he made it look so easy, like i said great horses make the jockeys. And Henry Cecil a great trainer so sad that he died.
Frankel; A horse that had so much hype b4 the race but actually exceeded the hype after race.
Absolute machine, the greatest horse ive ever seen !! Rip Sir Henry 🙏
SECRETARIA(triple Crown),SEA BIRD( Derby,Arc de triomphe) Ribot( King george and 2 arc)..i prefer them..sorry....
When the jockey moves frankels neck and he immediately accelerates 😮 never be another like him ever
That puts a shiver down my spine and all the better that henry cecil trained him an absolute genius i remember steve cauthen when he was the number 1 jockey for him they did what adien obrien is doing now frankel is just a freak of nature when he won the 2000 gunieas when the commentator says hes 15 lenthgs clear that will stay with me forvever
Stunning
Can watch Frankel all day........ what a horse....
...beautiful horse
fabulous record
Simply the best I have ever seen!
#Privileged!
Ese caballo no necesitaba juete apuro brazo prácticamente muy bueno y muy rápido es veloz renacido hermano y con las 4 patas blancas me encantó todos sus videos ❤❤❤❤❤🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
What a marvellous team? Tom Queally a very underrated jockey.
Being a sports video I was expecting someone to say the jockey is underrated!
👏Bravo cirrus des Aigles, near this winner .. it was a good second place...
R.I.P HENRY
Going to see him at Banstead Manor in July.....I can't wait 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I think bullet train and his Jockey should take some credit in their front running role his Jockey was always alert on what was going on around him looking after his SUPER STAR STABLE MATE !!!!!!!!!!
An absolute monster amongst horses
That was the day Frankel showed his mettle. Truly great horses handle all grounds.
I think he retired too early I think he'd a won at least 7 more races amd still finished unbeaten
Great legend of the sport
Yeah for sure he retired too early ....but then again money talks 🙄.....if I remember right they were given 50million to retire him to stud ☹️ , money should never determine how long a racehorse races ....his legacy could and should have been so much more , it’s an actual travesty
@ Jimmy Stone, its not the amount of races you win its the calibre of races you win, 10 group 1 races speaks for itself
Rye1 *11
There's never been one like him
Secretariat. Secretariat!!!
Americans will say different cos in their eyes racing only exists in the states but frankel is the greatest ever !
Yes. Firstly, I guess they think their races on dirt is what horse racing should truly be. And, TBH, many of those top European horses (including Frankel himself) are not without the influence or the legacy of Northern Dancer, which belongs to the US and Canada and, in some Yank's view, eventually shows the true superiority of American horse racing.
Once in a lifetime ...wonder horse ....🐴🐴🐴
Rip Sir Henry. Frankel, 2 classes above
Nothing beats this horse
Great horse
Makes me shiver wow❤❤
The greatest racehorse Ive ever seen on a racecourse the mighty Frankel
Simply the greatest
If there has ever been a better horse, on turf, than Frankel, i have never seen it. And i have watched a lot of racing. Queally tried hard to get him beat at Royal Ascot, but he still came through.Excelebration would have been ranked as one of the all time great milers but for Frankel.
Great Horse......but my heart belong to Secretariat!!!
No compairing Secretariat to Frankel......Sec would wipe the floor with Frank
Sir Henry knew his work was done... 8 months later, he was no longer with us. I miss him.
No point dissing Black Caviar of anything else. Frankel was the greatest racehorse we have seen in decades. Up with the superstar likes of Mill Reef and Secretariat. A superb superb racehorse and a beautiful running machine.
Great horse, but I stood at the finish line of the 86 arc and I tell you that was the greatest race won by the greatest horse.Dancing Brave was the greatest over a mile and a half, had Pat Eddery been on him for the derby I have no doubt he would have won
Cirrus travels the world what a horse he is ❤️❤️❤️❤️💘
They way he hit the line just makes you think what could have been...the derby, the arc etc. Oh well.
The roar at the 3 furlong pole!!!!
So sad to see Henry Cecil looking as ill as he was.
Brilliant horse in 2nd probably one of the best soft ground horses ever so frankel beating him on that ground very impressive.
This was his best win. He convinced me by beating Cirrus des Aigles, a remarkable horse that is still winning! This was certainly his toughest race.
Dont forget at 3 he thrassed excellabration and 1 year later that horse was champion miler of europe.frankel beat him 10 lenth in queen anne
Sublime. I would love to see a horse better in my lifetime but I don't think it will happen.
I think you are right
Followed the horses for 40 years. Frankel the best Iv'e ever seen next to Nijinsky.
I worked in racing 40 yrs hes def the best 10f miler ive seen dayjur best sprinter mill reef best 12f horse my personal view....
Greatest horse I ever seen
Y su ginete lo sabía llevar y darle la orden para que prendiera sus motores que bueno 👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌
I loved Frankel
Winx has frankel covered in my opinion higher cruising speed better turn of foot won 3 cox plates the weight for age championship won 18 group 1 races would have loved to have seen a match race over 2000 metres both loved a wet track too
@Gary Pollard both been flops at stud though no world beaters which again shows champions of the track but shithouse in the sack 😆
Best racehorse ever
And look at what he is still doing goat👊
Yes, the greatest, even though he had a slow start, his class showed at the end against a class field of horses.
Simply the best
