As far as I can remember, this is the best explanation/overview of Enochian and Dee I've seen so far. English obviously isn't your first language, but you explained it perfectly. Thank you for the upload!

Throughout my years of looking into magic and the craft, I spent most of it looking at Wicca and folk traditions. The world of Enochian and other high magic traditions were, and still are, very confusing to me. It would be worth further reading, if I can find some good references. Approachable and practical books: Enochian Vision Magick by Lon Milo DuQuette and Success Magick by Damon Brand. Both of these are great practical Enochian Magick books.
Dee was a genius. Math, cartography, languages, and philosophy were his life pursuits. It's my experience that spirits speak to you in a way that is best for you to understand. So it stands to reason that since he was the invoker of the forces, that he would recieve a system that is both linguistic, mathematical, and philosophic

Hi Professor Angela, this is a great introduction to John Dee. I read that linguists have studied Enochian and found that it's structure has characteristics of real languages and is not an invented language like Tolkien's Elvish or Star Trek's Klingon. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I stumbled upon this channel while doing research on new age topics. Researching the Tarot about a month ago, came across some esoteric scholarship on youtube 🤗. Your channel was recommended as supplemental content on more than one of the channels in the community 🙌. This is pure delight 💜
From what I have read John Dee was an Alchemist, Philosopher, Astrologist, and "Doctor" whose passion was to find or create the Philosophers Stone. In order to do that a certain type of magic was needed. Enochian magic was performed by contacting Angels who would contact a Demon to do the work necessary to gather together the tools required for the spell. Enochian Magic was the basis for Solomons magic and it was also practiced by Alistair Crowley. The Angels would speak to a child who was placed on an alter of sorts because children were pure and it was easier for the angel to speak to a child. During the invocation the Magician would lay across the door entrance on the floor to prevent the demon from escaping. When Dee met John Kelly, Kelly claimed to know the language and said he had already spoken to Angels. Because of this the child was not necessary and they did Scrying in a black mirror made of Obsidian. They left England in disgrace because they couldn't produce the Angels or the Philosophers Stone. It is said that when they arrived at Emperor Rudolphs court he treated them grandly providing them with everything they needs to produce the stone. However after a period of time elapsed they once again did not produce Angels or the Stone. Kelly was deemed a fake who made up everything he said he had done, including speaking with Angels. The two were driven out of Rudolphs court and went their separate ways. I have read the book of Enochian Magic and it is a very difficult magical text. Most of the spells require great preparation that would often take years to complete. Fasting, purification, prayer, sacrifice and obtaining certain tools at the right time, on the right fay, on the right hour from the right source are all necessary to perform and complete the spell. Spell casting of that order was a very lengthly and difficult process. Great video - more please and go into as much detail as possible.
Right you are about the time/energy/focus necessary to practice Magick as it was defined by 16th and 17th century magicians. One thing worthy of mention: the amount of preparation leading up to the ritual is indeed as important as the ritual itself... much in the same way that a professional boxer may train their entire lives for a later match. The outcome of that one match isn't decided at that time simply, but in all the years of preparation which preceded it.
check some recent books , perhaps not the original potency but there are still results they dont require complex tools or such periods of fasting/sacrifice, its been more understood in recent years and great knowledge goes into simplifying such material for there is still power in its sigil and words of power in correct order

Angela's Symposium the book of Enoch is interesting. I wish I know more about it. It tells of that fallen angels and their breading with humans. That is what I was referring too. I think the Ethiopian church and Ethiopian Jews hold it as conical. It’s not in the Catholic (that’s me a catholic) bible, but it is held as important for insight. I can’t say I have read it entirely. I have just read Just bits and parts. Have you read it or studied it?
I have tried to read the Enochian and pronounce, for some reason I feel very silly when I do try to read it and speak it. As far as the "angels" having Dee and Kelly switch wives, this is just one example of how I have a hard time differentiating angels from daemons , there doesn't seem to be a high degree of separation between the two.

To do some independent research you can use Academia.edu (many scholars upload their papers and articles for free), Jstor, Google Scholar. Unfortunately, most academic databases need a university affiliation to get access to the material, which is another reason why I want to share and spread the knowledge here. Although it's hard work! Hope this helps. :-)

I had heard the term "Enochian magic" before, however this is the first time I've come across an explanation of what it is and where it comes from. Based on the reference you made to the incantations on Harry Potter and about circles drawn on the floor and sigils being components of Enochian magic, is it correct to say that a great deal of what we see portrayed as magic in pop culture such as series and films draws upon ceremonial magic practices identified as Enochian magic?
Hey Danilo, are you Italian? thanks for coming here to stay. :-) Pop culture (games, movies, tv shows) has been massively influenced by ceremonial magic, not necessarily the Enochian one. Of course, to give you a proper answer, I would have to examine more specifically on a one to one case.
Here I was just checking out Enochian fron Final Fantasy just to learn they didn't made it up for the game xD "upon learning the Enochian trait on level 56, the Black Mage's spells are strengthened under Astral Fire and Umbral Ice. At level 70, Enochian adds an additional bar to the lower right corner of the gauge that fills every 30 seconds while the status is maintained, granting a Polyglot status effect" - if you are a magick knowledgeable folk, mind telling me if that game description makes any sense for the actual thing.
Or are you from Romania? Using the reflective surface of Romanian wine is good for scrying and so is Polish soplica or Czech slivovica. Bulgarian rakia is also good. On my sojourn through former Yugoslavia lozovaca and travarica worked well. No flattery in commenting that your knowledge and delivery in English is impressive. That is praise from an old man approaching 70.

I slept on john dees seal of truth and i had my 1st astral travel in which i dismantled a fighter jet over a desert and when i awoke the seal was shredded like confetti between my mattress and a couple hours later saw the fighter jet on the news. I was also marked just above my left hip like a scar its weird markings. I havnt been able to print out no more copies i want them so bad
If you take one table and role it up stacked four legged corners to the larger you’d have quite an Enochian Table amongst your divination tools… with three extra realms of the map of the time.

There's a novel by Peter Ackroyd, "The House of Dr. Dee", that's worth a read. I can't vouch for its historical accuracy, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I think singing is one way, not the only way but one way of talking that angelic language. If it comes from the stomach, singing comes from the diaphragm which is just above the stomach and angels are known for singing God's praises, etc. Just a thought.
I wonder if Edward Kelly just wanted Dee’s wife and pulled the okey doke on him. That would explain the decline in efficacy of rituals afterward. My trepidation with this system lies in the fact that it didn’t seem to get ole Dr Dee where he wanted to go. Seems like a lot of work to not get the results you want. 😬

God and Angles can communicate in any language. Not symbols that humans do not understand, I have a vision from a holy man in the year 2016 certain warning issues about earth's condition. Holy man spoke in English in my dream: 1) golden age ( good and spiritual peoples) 2) bronze ( average) 3) silver ( moderate) 4) evil age ( present time) Then the holy man told me that you are now in evil age.....things will get worst from time to time than he vanished. The holy man did not say about end times, but I think the evil age-related to a man-made virus to reduce the population of humans race or take over the world: communist country. Until now, I still have dreams and visions but in English, communication not symbol. Remember God spoke to Moses and many prophets in Hebrew. God and Angels can speak in any language that humans can understand, not symbols.

I slept on john dees seal of truth and i had my 1st astral travel in which i dismantled a fighter jet over a desert and when i awoke the seal was shredded like confetti between my mattress and a couple hours later saw the fighter jet on the news. I think singing is one way, not the only way but one way of talking that angelic language. If it comes from the stomach, singing comes from the diaphragm which is just above the stomach and angels are known for singing God's praises, etc. Just a thought.

I wonder if Edward Kelly just wanted Dee’s wife and pulled the okey doke on him. That would explain the decline in efficacy of rituals afterward. My trepidation with this system lies in the fact that it didn’t seem to get ole Dr Dee where he wanted to go. Seems like a lot of work to not get the results you want. 😬

4) evil age ( present time)
Then the holy man told me that you are now in evil age.....things will get worst from time to time than he vanished.
The holy man did not say about end times, but I think the evil age-related to a man-made virus to reduce the population of humans race or take over the world: communist country.
Until now, I still have dreams and visions but in English, communication not symbol. Remember God spoke to Moses and many prophets in Hebrew. God and Angels can speak in any language that humans can understand, not symbols.
