    Hi Destiny. Thx for sharing. I just want to add that trauma and pain to nipples is due to incorrect latch. A deep latch is essential for a wonderful feeding experience for both baby and mama. Also pain in pumping is the wrong flange size or putting the flanges on improperly; for any new moms reading this.

    I put my “breastfriend” to the side bc I thought it was just big, bulky and in the way. I picked it back up yesterday after watching this and you’re right, it does help A LOT!! 🙌🏽

    I use the momcozy bags they are amazing they have a temp teller that’s turns colors according to how cold or warm the milk is and they are sooo much thicker

    What I think is wild is that I’ve used the exact same products in the exact same order. I started out with the Lansinoh double electric then purchased the Medela and I also used the Lansinoh manual pump in the beginning and and I don’t use it now.

    Currently exclusively breastfeeding/pumping with my second. I didn’t take it seriously with my first although I breastfed 2x/day with my first until 8 months and used formula for the rest. This has been very helpful as I will be returning to work soon.❤️ my question tho is how long do you pump each session because I will pump for 30 minutes on each side and by about 25 min I will feel another let down. Do you experience this and I can’t find any information on how long to pump is safe?

    • @DestinyBreana
      @DestinyBreana  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks sooo much for watching!!! So i usually pump for about 10/15 minutes. I can go longer at night because baby is sleep, so 15/20 mins at night :) but i usually stop around 10-15 minutes and get around 5/6 ounces in the AM and 3/4 ounces. But this can also depend on the last time baby ate! So this morning he ate and then i pumped and i only got out 3 oz. so it fluctuates lol i hope this helps!! I also found a lot of help on the WTE (what to expect) app and joined the breastfeeding discussion boards! Post your question there and I’m sure you will get more responses to help guide you :) again thanks for watching mama!! ☺️

    Stupid question but how do u your breast are empty? When the milk stops flowing? When did u start pumping twice a day. My problem right now is still being full after she feeds she’s only 3wks old I make more than what she eats. Also how do u alternate your breast. One feeding u do left breast then the next feeding u do the right breast?

    • @DestinyBreana
      @DestinyBreana  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hey! yes when the milk stops flowing :) when I pumped and it looked like there wasn’t any more milk coming out your good to go. With alternating breasts keep track of your last fed breast, that way you can pick up on the non fed one (you can also use a hakka during feeding of one on the other so that one can let down as well, if that makes sense)

    How do you give your baby his vitamin d drops?
    What do you do with the freezer milk? Have you had to throw some milk away?

    • @DestinyBreana
      @DestinyBreana  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! I used vitamin d baby drops on my nipple for him during feedings :) I used freezer milk as a backup, emergencies, baths etc and yes I sadly ended up having to cause it went bad

      Thank you! So how soon after birth did you transition to pumping only twice a day? My baby is currently 5 weeks and I want to move away from pumping and to exclusively breastfeeding.

      I rarely used bottles with him, he preferred it from breast lol any milk I pumped, I stashed in freezer for emergencies

    • @DestinyBreana

      for me; it def went away! The first weeks were brutal and I had bloody ones but after a while your nipple skin gets used to its new duty :) lol

    My OB recommended that I breastfeed exclusively for 6 months then add solids. And the night time feeds. I would love to have him feed both on bottle and breast, however my OB recommended using a cup and spoon instead of a bottle. I feel that a cup and spoon will spill on his neck.

    With pumping at night and in the morning, didn’t you find that the baby’s morning feeds left him dissatisfied? Didn’t they wake up super hungry?

    • @DestinyBreana
      @DestinyBreana  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      nope! I always fed him before pumping. The pumping session was just to get whatever was left over out and to empty my boobs to start off the day lol hope that helps!

    Im not sure if you said the more you pump the more you get or the more you nurse the more you get (i didnt feel like rewinding lol)
    But do both do the same thing? Just the more your boobs are stimulated, you’re good right?
    I pump & nurse but trying to store a stash and dont know how. I pump and give it to her most times.
    I thought you said you pumped and used that milk the same day? How did you begin to store and not use the milk?
    Thanks!❤

    • @DestinyBreana
      @DestinyBreana  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yesss! Just the more your boobs are stimulated the more it’ll tell your body to produce! I began to store by pumping at night, store that milk and just breastfeed in morning and then pump after feeding to get anything left over ;) I hope this helps mama!!!
