    Just to update. I got in touch with a technician at ATN about the issue I was having he worked with me trying to get it fixed. We finally decided to send back to ATN for repair. It was repair and sent back to me very quickly. Customer service was excellent and support was excellent. Love this scope. The more I use it the easier it is. All this was just after I purchased it. Sorry it took so long to update.

    the latest firmware broke my compasss. just picked up the scope today and the compass worked fine before the update

    My compass is stuck on north, I try calibrating and it reads error. Brand new out the box!

      @@venelindeninski1640 if I remembered correctly, I did 10 front flips, then I did 10 side spins counter clockwise. And then I did 10 spins clockwise hope this makes sense and helps.

    My scope says North when I look through it in the house while I face South I haven't used it yet when I do what you do in the video it comes up as err

    I just.unboxed mine earlier today and the E-compass is stuck.on North. How do I get it to move? I tried the calibration movements and still nothing. Every now and then, ERR pops up.

    What do you mean the chip probably broke? I have error on my scope and I just came out the box and I have tried rotating the scope but nothing worked.

    I am on firmware 3.1.11.483 (4K Pro 5-20x Buckhunter) - how do I fix the ERR? Spinning it around it's 3 axis did nothing?

      Okay, I managed to fix the ERR issue. EACH axis needed to be rotated 3 times. That is, EACH axis needed to be rotated 1,080 degrees and NOT 360 degrees. atnowners.com/thread/3081/sight-4k-pro-compass-err

    When are you going to release a software update, to cater for pellets less than 10 grains? Also The zoom resets to the minimum setting when turned off??

    Just heard back out the ERR message. Here is what fixed it.
    Just to confirm, you did make sure to remove the scope from the rifle and that you've rotated the scope vigorously for at least 30 seconds on each of its axis. 90 seconds total.

    Another user checking in to say the compass doesn't work. I can't tell if the scope is even charging though, because it has no battery after 2 hours. We'll see what happens after 10. I have pretty low hopes for a chinese pot metal scope.

    Need help here. After firmware update, I got ERR. I followed the procedure, it does not cure the issue. What does figure 8 in hand means? Mine is a brand new buy from Amazon. please help

      @@NinjaP586 Literally just fixed my buddies with the ERR tried fig 8, didn't work. I used the three axis. 1 - end over end, 2 - spin left to right (like a top or spin the bottle) 3 - turn in your hand a rotation (like a screw driver) ONE ROTATION EACH WAY SLOWLY. Hope it works for you.

      @@1621jonesy I did each axis 3 time each and then it gave me the Cal wait a few and then it will give you the compass and ERR gone. example the first axis rotated it 3 full cycle, then the 2nd axis rotate 3 full cycle and the 3rd axis rotate that 3 full cycle also.

    When I record on day mode the reticle does not show up in the recorded video, while it does on night mode. Where is that setting?

    I just received the ATN X-Sight 4K Pro a few days ago, did everything the Manual stated to do, seems to work fine other than the ERR message on the top center of the Display Screen, you say in the video if if showed the ERR, its most likely due to a Bad Chip, does that mean return it for a replacement? Or does it mean the Compass needs to be calibrated, and if so could you explain the steps on how to do that - can't seem to find much about anyone actually explaining that if its at all possible thru the setup screen on the Scope. Any help would be appreciated.

      You need to spin the scope in a figure 8 while holding it firmly in your hand until the ERR message turns to CAL. Then spin the scope in its 3 axis to calibrate. manual.atncorp.com/x-sight-4k/#idcompass-calibration

      @@AtncorpOptics I tried the figure 8, I tried the calibration process, I rebooted it several times. Regardless of what I do the unit comes on, shows the compass for maybe 3 seconds then goes to err and nothing seems to change it. I tried to reset the factory settings and it did just about everything except get me into the calibration mode. I have noticed it may have something to do with a firmware update? I purchased and updated 4th of July weekend 2022. Between this and an app that I cannot find this is turning into a fairly frustrating venture and I haven't even tried to pair up the ABL yet. Help me out with this compass thing to start please.

    I rotate the scope and the CAL comes up but it goes right back to ERR. Why is that?

    I appreciate your videos, so how can I change recticle brightness. Mine is barely visible day or night no matter the color or rectangle Style. I'd appreciate some help thanks

      You need to adjust the screen brightness up.

      Spin the scope in figure 8 in hand and it will switch to calibration mode.

      @@AtncorpOptics It started at ERR then to CAL then to SMFand stayed. No way there was a SMF. I did the figure 8 and it worked. Thanks for that info. 👍🏼

    No volume,I know I have hearing damage but this guy is whispering or the microphone was in another room with the doors shut. If he can't speak up how about sub titles of what is is saying to himself under his breath.
