Five guys, five similar rifles, all shooting the same caliber, all identical scopes, all from the same dealer. 3 of the 5 had to be sent back day one at the range. After all replacements were received and all five were confirmed as "working", only 2 of us (oddly 2 that had to get a replacement) could get it to zero. All of us followed the instructions verbatim, and identically. Started this whole process almost 2 weeks before our hunt. All said and done, we were still jacking around with these things the day before we left. In ~theory~ this is a great product. Pheromonal idea, smart advertising, excellent cosmetic design. Having the same issue with my Gen5 today. After 16 rounds it still won't hold zero. After zooming in or out you can see the reticle shifts away from zero. Doesn't seem to matter what I do I can't get it to function properly.
Does this scope react to targets differently? Today I was trying to zero on a paper target would not zero (100 yards), I finally do away with the paper target fire at the gong its dead on! tweak a little there, then go to my hunting stand shoot the gong again boom. This shot was almost 800ft I am concerned with the mount might switch to a QD. I am not sure if the ballistic calculator is messing with me or not. Thanks
No, the scope would not react to targets differently. The scope has a digital zero that consists of X & Y coordinates. There is no way for that to lose zero. If you are having issues then definitely check your mount and make sure everything is tight.
Question, what is the maximum adjustment for such a scope? Also would having the correct sight height help you adjust accordingly, given that the adjustment is finite and you may run out of adjustment if the scope is higher than the default 1.5 inches.
I know this question is old but for my regular day scopes the lower the better, also I do not us any mounts with built in MOA for hunting. I try and keep my shot as flat as I can so I am not only accurate at a certain distance.
The red one follows the white one after you set the white one. You lock it in the vise and keep move the white one to the impact spot. Then the red will auto adjust once you click the middle button.
I had tried so many times, following the simple instruction. The shot nowhere to be found on 3’x4’ target at 60 yards. I bore sight and it was way low to the crosshair. I tried zero it the way it was instructed, It went the other way (opposite). I spend a lot of bullet trying to find out, And it was confirmed, the adjustment was going further more to the first appeared shot on the target. Help me please.
Idk if this has been asked or not, it can you zero the scope while in Night vision mode? Like if I wanted to check and fine tune my zero at night before I go out for a night hunt?
Ok but what is the point of range finder if reticle is not moa or mil dot spec. How does it work automaticly trough balistic caculator to adjust shot point???
Before all this digital stuff, back in the ole' days. One would normally zero your scope at 100 yards. Then knowing your bullet trajectory, adjust your aim point for the distance you're shooting. Not much is mentioned here or in the manual about doing this at a specific range. Why not? If I don't "tell" the x-sight how far away the target is, I don't see how one shot zero could be accurate.
