Yeah sometimes people don't understand that these certain engines that don't have adjustments and only have Springs can be stuck and it will take clean off on you and destroy everything in front of it including three-wheelers when you put the sleeve back in for the throttle cable on their carburetors backwards they will take off on you as well being that I'm a person that experienced that one day and thank God it hit a tree and went on its side and did Donuts till I caught up with it

A Kilowatt and Explorer are two of Murrays best gokart frames in my opinion.
I would highly suggest welding a third bearing hangar to the engine plate underneath the flywheel side to keep the axle from bending in the center. Dingo's like to bounce a lot in the rear

The Baja is far superior to the Manco Dingo (despite being identical) because it says Phoenix on it.
I knew this was a smokin' deal when Charles did the "tilt and drop test" at 4:45 and the floor didn't fall out or cover the ground in a carpet of rust.
Basically you got an entire go-kart for the price of a ... um ... torque converter?
P.S. Thanks for the great reminder WHEN PURCHASING A VEHICLE...$5's, $10's, and $20's evenly distributed in at least three pockets. Ike knows this, he just wanted to teach us a lesson we wouldn't soon forget.

Hi, my name is James DeGood. I'm a Freshman studying to be a Mechanical Engineer at Kettering University. Over the past two years, I've built an offroad go-kart with all-around suspension. This started after I watched your guy's video of the Manco Dingo ripping at Busco Beach. So I decided to pick one up myself and start my own project. I've watched your guy's channel for a long time, watching crazy builds coming to life, and I wanted to make my creation. You guys have much more knowledge and expertise regarding anything go-kart related, and I'd like to know if you guys have some advice to improve on my build. The kart has 24-inch tires in the rear and 21s in the front. It weighs anywhere from 250-350 lbs. It has the front half of a tao tao quad, and the frame started as a Manco dingo. It is powered by a 1986 Honda 200sx quad motor with a 5-speed transmission with no clutch. Some things have changed since these pictures have been taken. This includes putting rear suspension in place of the rear bars and upgrading from a mechanical disk brake to a hydraulic disk brake with a 10-inch rotor. The steering has also been changed from a butterfly setup to a full steering wheel with a rack and pinion. Any and all advice would be extremely appreciated as I know you guys are very busy. Thank you guys for being awesome.

Some people are mentally lazy and will miss a lot of good stuff in life because of it ...
James , it sounds like you have a pretty good jump on your build as it is and I am building/rebuilding two different carts at the moment - one is a 05 tomberline crossfire150 that I'm keeping all stock and just piecing back together a little at a time and finally just got to ride it for the first time day before yesterday while the other one is an Kazuma mud buggy with 440r two stroke off an Arctic cat snowmobile which is in about as bad of condition as it could be without just scraping it 😂 ... It's going to be a long time before I can ride it and it's all about just taking your time and doing a little bit of work here and there when you can and do not give up but stay on it and eventually it will be finished and you can enjoy the fruit of your labor so the advice I have for you is don't watch these channels and think your going to do the same work in the same amount of time because if your not able to then you'll get discouraged and give up , been there and done that , but instead just take your time and keep adding to it as you go ... be safe brother and keep working at it ...

They have done an all wheel drive one which was literally 4 212 engines mounted above the wheels on stands, it's really goofy but so fast. Apparently FWD on go karts gets bad with shooting off in one direction but I'd love to see it attempted

if I had access to half of what y'all have on hand for building and fabbing up stuff, I'd be a happy camper! might come up with some kind of monster with a polaris twin shoved in. like make a drift kart with the engine up front like the Zero Turn, but with a locking rear diff like off a small truck. try to get like Junior Formula slicks on the 12 inch rim... how crazy do you want your race kart to be?
