For Mass Effect ending... There is 5th ending. Play Mass effect 1 then load that save into ME2 and play it then load it into ME3 and that will give you enough points to get the ending where Shepard actually survives. There is a scene of his hand pushing out the wreckage.

Personally, the only issue I had with the original Mass Effect 3 ending was it needed an epilogue. The extended cut added one. And if, like me, you subscribe to the Indoctrination Theory, both endings make perfect sense. Granted that means there isn't a "real" ending, but I'm okay with that.

The one from Spec Ops: The Line is not an easter egg, it's a very deliberate design choise connected to the game's theme of PTSD distorting the characters view of reality. The team that made the game has pointed out the loading screen messages as a way to make the player question the oftenly indiscriminate killing in most war themed games while still sticking to the narrative with the main character sometimes experience the world through a hallucination and sometimes not.
I don’t know if this could be one but in crash the insane trilogy, in the first crash bandicoot. If you collect all everything in a level and then you end up losing a life. At the end of the level the game will say “Nearly perfect, but you died”.
The spec ops one isn't insulting it's brilliant, because at the end, you are at fault for the tragedies that happen there.. there are multiple stop signs across the maps and subtle hints that you should stop playing and doing what you're doing before it escalates like it did. Basically the game puts you into the shoes of Captain Walker himself and blames you for the shit that he did. Masterpiece

I didn't get upset or anything, but 10 minutes before the end of ME3 I was REALLY looking forward to re-playing the whole trilogy. After finishing ME3... that seemed kinda pointless as none of my YEARS of choices had any real impact on the ending(s)

Spec ops the line is by far my favourite single player shooter story . It is such a unique way to question the protagonist decisions of trying to be a hero. You can't find anything similar in any other game period .
I think to me the most insulting Easter Egg was one part of a normal scene in gameplay. In DMC (Ninja Theory remake) having the wig fall on Dante and them having him badicslly bash the look. Was pretty insulting to the original Dev Team at Capcom. Imagine basically another dev team that you allowed to make a new games in your hit series basically insulting the style/look you gave your famous character. This is what happened and still makes me shake my head as a player as it was something pretty random and not really thrown in beside to throw flak at the original.
You forgot Tiny Tank from all the way back on ps1. If you put in any cheat code and try to finish the game, your greated with a screen that says cheaters never win. It also refused to save the game lol

Personally, the only issue I had with the original Mass Effect 3 ending was it needed an epilogue. The extended cut added one. And if, like me, you subscribe to the Indoctrination Theory, both endings make perfect sense. Granted that means there isn't a "real" ending, but I'm okay with that.
in the 90's, there was an entertainment industry, trying frantically to rationalize how games like mortal kombat were such a massive success. Entertainment was always a 'treat them good ' industry in terms of games, so developers began scrambling , trying to find the next Mortal Kombat during that time , when manufacturers had no idea what gamers wanted, so you get 'rude fr the sake of rude' like demolition man, or other silly games that berate gamers. Also, some tried hiding the egg behind tons of gameplay, so they could tell you to 'get outside & get some exercise'
The one from Spec Ops: The Line is not an easter egg, it's a very deliberate design choise connected to the game's theme of PTSD distorting the characters view of reality. The team that made the game has pointed out the loading screen messages as a way to make the player question the oftenly indiscriminate killing in most war themed games while still sticking to the narrative with the main character sometimes experience the world through a hallucination and sometimes not.

I don’t know if this could be one but in crash the insane trilogy, in the first crash bandicoot. If you collect all everything in a level and then you end up losing a life. At the end of the level the game will say “Nearly perfect, but you died”.
Not really an easter egg but really annoying and frustrating none the less.

The spec ops one isn't insulting it's brilliant, because at the end, you are at fault for the tragedies that happen there.. there are multiple stop signs across the maps and subtle hints that you should stop playing and doing what you're doing before it escalates like it did.
Basically the game puts you into the shoes of Captain Walker himself and blames you for the shit that he did.

I must have been one of the few that actually didn't mind the Mass Effect ending.
I didn't get upset or anything, but 10 minutes before the end of ME3 I was REALLY looking forward to re-playing the whole trilogy. After finishing ME3... that seemed kinda pointless as none of my YEARS of choices had any real impact on the ending(s)

Spec ops the line is by far my favourite single player shooter story . It is such a unique way to question the protagonist decisions of trying to be a hero. You can't find anything similar in any other game period .

I think to me the most insulting Easter Egg was one part of a normal scene in gameplay. In DMC (Ninja Theory remake) having the wig fall on Dante and them having him badicslly bash the look. Was pretty insulting to the original Dev Team at Capcom. Imagine basically another dev team that you allowed to make a new games in your hit series basically insulting the style/look you gave your famous character. This is what happened and still makes me shake my head as a player as it was something pretty random and not really thrown in beside to throw flak at the original.

I'm perfectly fine with everything apart from #1. They actually thought they were making a good game, tried to polish the turd and when customers were still upset about it they just shat on them.
And now they've remastered and once again polished the turd ending instead of making something good.
