@@slappyjo1046 No it was setup by Kang for Loki to start timeslipping but it wasn't through magic that he received it. Kang put Loki and Sylvie on a very specific series of events that would eventually lead to them fighting where Sylvie would kick Loki through a time door to the TVA in the past. The thing is there is no set point in time at the TVA. The past, the present, the future those concepts that we are familiar with with time don't apply at the TVA. So because he was kicked into the "past" (by Kang's tempad no less) his body is constantly trying to slip to a set point in time, hence time slipping. Him being able to eventually control it was just an intended side effect that Kang wanted to happen.

That moment where Mobius is talking about choosing your burden at a point in time when he didn't even know Loki but still gave such a real answer that you'd expect from current day Mobius is such good character writing, he was always willing to connect with people and see the best in everyone's potential even those he would of potentially had to prune.

Can we all just appreciate the fact it took Loki becoming someone a part of something far stronger then Thanos and all the infinity stones to finally find someone he could truly call friend. The Fact that Owen Willson played him so well just makes this whole series for me....and this coming from a guy who kinda offloaded the whole Marvel series after endgame.

I don't understand how Loki couldn't beat/stop Sylvie here even though he could go back in time as many times as he could and see her every move. Or perhaps he could've done the same thing Sylvie did at first and send her back to the TVA via the remote

I mean, even in this scene, he was able to hold a sword to her throat, but what after that? she just keeps going, understanding that the only way he can stop her is by killing her. that's the point this scene is trying to convey - he *can* kill her, but he doesn't *want* to.

@@_.violyse._ Yea I know what this scene is trying to convey but there are surely other ways of stopping her other than killing her. @@Ramsiman00 He hoped to beat her, then convince her. But no matter how many times he won, she could then never convinced. He also tried convincing her at other points in time to no avail. There was no way to stop her from getting to Kang because Kang also wasn't defending himself so she'd always get to him and kill him somehow. Kang wouldn't defend himself because he wanted to force loki to kill her, some kind of weird self justification thing. I also think he wanted to temper Loki to lead as his replacement.
Loki's 1 possible choice for her would be perpetual imprisonment. But that rarely works on Loki variants.

I feel so sorry for her. Her family, her people (both Frost giant and Asgardian), even her time line, were murdered. She belongs no where, no when. She has been running, like a hunted animal, since she was a child, with a death sentance over her head just for being born.
She never had a chance to learn like he did. He had his mother. His father. His brother Thor, and even Thor's freinds. She had no one to love and teach her, no where safe to grow up or call home. She lived in death, destruction, and endings. She had no chance to know anything else.

It doesn’t matter because she’s a thick skulled fool who”s unwilling to learn anything. She doesn’t listen to anyone, keeps parroting her beliefs, is a hypocrite and extremely pretentious in her righteousness while being completely wrong. Sylvie is literally the embodiment of everything wrong with current modern society. Full of pretentious righteousness, full of flawed opinions, too stubborn to listen unless the consequences of reality finally catch up and the damage is done… skulls too thick that they need everything spelled out.
Rough history/backstory doesn’t mean anything when the final character is disgusting

    • @insomnimac8368
      @insomnimac8368 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

That does come with the benefit of perspective.
She might come off as a ruthless murderer but she's always tempered with what was lost. She knows the value of "Excisement"... and she's prepared to deal with the inevitable Kang conflict.
The thing is that Loki might be keeping the timestream together and inheriting the responsibility of the Loom and making decisions for its grander future... but Kang didn't just choose both of them idly. Given their potential he wouldn't have picked two for no reason.
When it comes time to prune the hedges she's still at the TVA. That will still function as it always had - they won't have an ethos, a creed, or any idea what *exactly to do*. Loki will be buried in those timelines causing an organic growth, but when there's a branch that doesn't make sense or new Kang's that need addressing... she'll be there. The benefit of being outside those timelines instead of being buried in millions of them, making dopplegangers in those universes.
Loki might've taken Kang's seat, but his entire legion was the TVA. Those still exist, even if Loki had supplanted the need for them - and sooner or later Loki will have to be cut out of that tree before he goes totally and utterly insane. When that time comes she'll be the one clipping the blight off the trees and making sure the overgrowth doesn't bend the whole tree over. Whatever it took to make this new universe it may require a radical action like reverting it back to Kang's control and the Loom once Loki starts losing it. Whatever it takes to fix time itself, that's going to fall to on Sylvie's hands. She might need to do but 1 thing, 1 time, but in an infinite universe 1 thing echoes for all eternity.
Kang picked them both and more horrifically, Kang might've made absolutely sure she was as broken and murderous as could be - because these won't be the last kangs. There's an infinite number of them to be dealt with... and the TVA members are ageless.
She's got nothing but time to prune.
... and with that also comes ultimate privilege. You can go anywhere, be anything and erase your presence when you're done - but she'll never forget what consequences that might have. That makes for a perfect leader of the TVA.
The one most wronged by its inception.

@@oakenshadow6763 Personal loss fueling an eternity of good work.
Kang's villainy too was likely designed to weaponize her against his dopplegangers - there'll never be a Kang she'll be afraid of killing, and more often than not that will likely be necessary (due to the fact that the ultimate kangs might mess with the loom / loki).
But flipside, she'll have the TVA backing her up *forever*. She'll have access to the best of the entire universe... and all of time. There's nothing stopping her from developing the same abilities Loki did, they were both candidates and he said they'd do it together. While that may seem to have been accomplished by Loki, that's likely only the beginning.
Which she will use more deftly than most, because she won't be afraid of having to murder time itself, when necessary.
It's dark, but the silver lining is *awesome*. She'll do just fine - it may not even happen for years at a time, whatever she needs to do might be largely minor. Really depends on what Kang was preparing for.
So... it's up in the air. She might be enjoying key lime pie for a change, between throwing daggers.
