    Had my TT mount for about a year. The tabs on the plastic mount seem to break off too easily. Great vid/review.

    Thanks for this and your other videos. I’m building a new 500 and plan on doing many of the same things you have done with your 350.

    I have 6 voyager pros. I run them on dirt bikes, as well as snow bikes. I can tell you for sure this will break. If you don’t protect it with the billet cover any chest impact on the bars, will snap the lower plastic housing which cannot be repaired. I have three broken units in my drawer now from this, you must run the billet cover or you’ll end up replacing it.

      I appreciate your input. We will look at getting the billet surround.

    Looking to setup my 21 beta 390 RE for solo TOI in 2023. Live in Box Elder County and would love to touch base with on what you learned and what you'd do different.
    The videos have been great.

    There is no need for an extra fuse in the circuit, unless you make a terminal block that feeds mulitple items each item can have its own fuse. Much like your main breaker/fuse in you home and then each device/circuit gets its own breaker/fuse. Unless that is what you were trying to say,

      Appreciate your comment. As a matter of fact about 9:10 in my video I reference adding a fuse block for each circuit. It’s best practice to fuse each circuit, just like your house has each room protected by a breaker. Cheers.

    I am investigating purchase of the Voyager Pro for my 300 XCW but it looks like I have to add $80 to my budget to get an aluminum dock because the included plastic dock is a failure point?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is very unfortunate Trail Tech will not listen to the many complaints of failures related to the plastic dock and just send the unit with the aluminum. Thank you for watching.

    Hi great videos, just curious do you get your speed from GPS and or a speed sensor, which one is more accurate? Also you never posted any more info about your 300RE, how do you like it, or not, is your 2 stroke KTM faster and just a better bike?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Stephen, I get the speed from the GPS of the TT. There is a noticeable lag between the speedometer on the bike and the GPS speed readout. They are about the same as far as accuracy goes, however it takes longer for the GPS to "catch up" to what the speedometer on the bike reads. The RE has been sold a couple months back. I did race the bike a couple times during the year and it is a strong running bike and not any faster than a KTM necessarily. There are some things about the BETA I didn't like such as fit and finish on some of the parts and plastics, the suspension in stock form is too stiff for my liking (can be re valved), and the motor is not as smooth in relation to vibrations even being a counterbalanced motor, as a KTM counterbalanced 2 stroke. These are just my opinions and others may think different, which is okay. I've always been a KTM owner and this was my first experience with a BETA. Just really like the orange bikes I guess. I should be taking delivery of a new 23' 300 XC KTM as the replacement for the BETA RE any day. Stay tuned. Thank you for watching.

    Do you use. your Voyager Pro for its GPS function? Is it worth it when compared to Gaia?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I do use it for navigation. It does have limitations when compared to other units and even the Gaia app. I generally make my own rides/maps in CalTopo riding from waypoint to waypoint which I create when making the day's ride in CalTopo then export into the Trail Tech. Sounds complicated, but works well for what I do. To be honest, I have never used the base maps which are included in the TT. Other features I like are the temperature readout, tach and outside air temp. Hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching.

      @@code4performance Will the GPS track your ride so you can find your way back right out of the box?
      Is it a pain to load in maps... I'm not the smartes guy in the room when it comes to tech.
      I'm in Colorado so we have something called 'Stay the Trails' and 'Cortex'.
      Thanks!

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rjthomasindyusa, yes, it has a logging feature which tracks your ride . The importing of maps is somewhat involved, but with some helpful videos on YT from many people, its relatively easy, but takes a learning curve. An advantage to the TT is you can manipulate the screen with gloves on as well.

    How did you wire your oem cluster to the trail tech so you can keep both?

    • @code4performance
      @code4performance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are still independent of each other. The speed registered on the TT is from the GPS of the unit while the OEM cluster gets its reading from the front wheel sensor. As far as power goes, the TT is wired to charge using the bike battery through a Taco Moto accessory power relay. Hope this answers your question.
