      I agree. I can't wait for the Supra, I think you should put a supercharger and two turbos on it, although... you know... it might blow the engine... but it would be awesome! can't wait and I'm glad your lambo came out like it did. That said, i still haven't watched the full video, so I hope it comes out perfect lol

    Hey Freddy, you should get your oil tested by someone like Blackstone Laboratories when you do the first change with the 300V, they will be able to give you an idea of at what point you should be doing an oil change.

      Agreed I believe it's ester based oil . As far as I know only the Chrono 300v is made to leave in for extended periods. I am pretty sure the rest are made to be changed after every race or 2. That's the reason I switched to Chrono . Motul rep just left or I would have asked him .

    put a scavange pump on the returns and go straight to the oil reservoir, much better than relying on gravity, especially when pushing some Gs while cornering and during WOT straight line acceleration.

      A dry sump has a scavenge pump already, to scavenge any oil at the bottom of the engine.. Shouldn't need an extra one with good return lines.

    • @alanalvarez6905
      @alanalvarez6905 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      F1NNSP1N the returns are at am awkward angle. You can put a separate pump dedicated to the turbos to avoid future problems.

    I used synthetic Rotella 15w40 in turbo engines. From diesel to race. Always had good results from it.
    Used in truck for 7500 miles an race car I changed it after every race. An it was a 434 all aluminum Yates headed ford making 2k at 18 lbs single 101mm
    Also be careful with that heavy oil you may need to put preheater on the dry sump tank to keep flowing good at startup. It only takes couple seconds to spin a bearing out because oil is too thick.

    • @david521598
      @david521598 6 ปีที่แล้ว +46

      Steve Smith I have a feeling that his choice of oil might be a little bit too thick. The weight you chose sounds more like something he should be using. That oil he plans to use is designed for endurance racing at consistently higher temperatures than what a car will ever see on the street. I worry that at colder temperatures he may starve some part of the motor for oil. I made a similar mistake once and burned up some Mains and rod bearings when I reved the engine High on a pass at the drag strip. Just one pass and it was toast. I hope he reads this comment or the other one I left for him. I would hate to see him burn something up.

    When you're pouring the oil in, turn the oil container 90degrees first, then pour, it reduces all that sloshing around as the oil is poured.

      Nassen0f I run 300v in my bike and it's about $70 for 4 liters. Not sure if the bike and car variants are priced differently but I'd buy it no matter how high the price was. I swear by this shit 😂

    • @Nassen0f
      @Nassen0f 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am not a Lamborghini expert, but generally speaking this will make the traction control think the front wheels are spinning and may apply brakes, and free wheeling one side of a differential or transfer case is never a healthy idea for the gears,

    • @codysides7683
      @codysides7683 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is what I was thinking. I have seen this done before, but normally there is a plate/adapter that you bolt over the transfer case to keep it from spinning.

    • @Viporghini
      @Viporghini 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Gallardo AWD is just mechanical. It's a VERY common mod to remove drive shafts, axles and diff... The car doesn't care at all, and never knows. Traction control still works. No warning lights. My car has been converted to RWD... Makes it lighter on its feet... Of course, twin turbo cars benefit from the added traction.

    • @armelind
      @armelind 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So its a power car... not a smart car. Most other AWD cars computers wouldnt let it run on a 2WD dyno. BMWs being RWD wont let it run on a 2WD dyno. The computer has to see the front wheels spinning too on the dyno.

    One, that engine oil is too thick. Two, you should've done a compression test on the engine before tuning. Three, dyno the car properly on a 4 wheel dyno. Why do things half assed?

    15:15 its called a CV joint or constant velocity joint. Just like on independent wheel suspension use for transmission. Compensates for angle changes on drive lines.

    I really dont think you are getting any better protection with that super expensive oil compared to a comparable weight Mobile one ..or a 15w 40 shell rottela T6 ( that stuff goes in diesel engines that cost waaaaay more the the Lamb

      More than 10 litres? Doubtful.

    • @KingCandyass
      @KingCandyass 6 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      OMGWTFLOL the turbos where not something the manufacturer took into consideration when they wrote 10L in the manual because it didn't have 2 turbos with substantial hoses that have a substantial capacity, i was only trying to remind him of something he's said before

    • @brandonbrown3600
      @brandonbrown3600 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      King Candyass and if you listened to the video the car has had a twin turbo kit in it before he bought it. The shop that did it accounted for the mods when marking the chopped dip stick.

    +1 point for removing the driveshaft, and finally acknowledging the AWD on a 2WD dyno. You shouldn't put too many miles on it like that, but for dyno purposes half assing it like that will do.
    -2 points On the oil change. 20W60? And where did you get 5W30 from? My Gallardo manual spec'd 10W40? If you're going to waste your money on 'race oil' atleast get the right weight, the whole point of 'race oil' is that the viscosity and weight won't change.
    Man this whole build is like a slow moving trainwreck I can't look away from.

    • @fxckrio
      @fxckrio 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Chuck Farley he's putting the heavier oil in because the specced oil was too light, causing it to burn.

    • @billcase9937
      @billcase9937 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      riog1me #r33squad he got the heavier weight oil to address an oil burning issue, that's correct. This was before he found out that oil was backing up into the turbo though. I'm not a mechanic and don't pretend to be, but it does seem like the oil draining issue could have been at least a part of the oil burning problem. This oil could easily be too heavy

    • @fxckrio
      @fxckrio 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bill Case there is a chance this oil is too heavy, I agree.

      Norr R it be nice if the razors were sharp!! I just quit dsc bc they always dull and pull on hair instead of cut. Get a Costco brand box they just came out and compare. Costco are ten times sharper. After two uses it still as sharp or more sharp than dsc razors
