Lol, but he is going the simple route with the P1...remember he's removing all electronic drive. He's masquerading it as "increasing power", but in reality can't be bothered with the complicated electronics. The P1's electric motor makes up for reduced torque during gear shifts etc, it's unlikely the new "1600bhp" engine would actually beat it around a track.

4:00 - Another reason you don't pull or use a frame machine on an aluminium frame/chassis is because of the sheer stress points. Aluminium will break over time, steel will not. There's an aluminium (or plastic) rod in the toolkit of most Audis - you screw that into one of the stud holes in the hub and then "hang" the wheel from it - makes it much easier to line up the wheel bolts 😃

It went in storage in Las Vegas when I left Nellis AFB for my assignment to Aviano, Italy...in 1994! It has been stored since then but I moved it to my dehumidified garage in Florida.

10:38 For stuck nuts or bolts in sockets, either slightly put it back on the stud or in the threaded hole SLOWLY and wiggle the gun off, or an easier solution. You can take the socket off, put it on the ground and tap it with a hammer. The vibrations will knock the stuck nut or bolt out pretty quick 👍 👍
You can definately lower those straps easily. Just pull the handle a tiny bit, and use your finger to release and hold open the lock bar down inside while you lower the strap with the handle. Then let go of the lock. And reset. You have to do it a few times but it works.
Tavarsh I must admit that you Sir are a Bad Ass! Car maniac! I wish I could do what you do. But I started watching your channel way back when! Love this build.will be interesting to see what you come up with. Definitely one of my favourite Audis. Glad that you decided to keep the AWD system, too. 🎉
I’d actually like those old rotors. I could use them for a future aerator project I’m going to work on. The rotors are round and heavy enough to drive a pipe into the ground and help the roots of my grass grow. Little tool I found online, and bit heavy rotors are best.

It's a thinking cap.
@@Michael666CARumor has it that this is the new hair that he got thanks to Keeps.
I thought it was a new hairdoo at first 😅🤣
The black shirt doesn't help either. He's working on a pair of D cups these days.
The hat is to do what Keeps couldn't/can't do: hide his ever-increasing forehead and scalp.
Is it weird all these TH-camrs need therapy all of a sudden 🤔
Yeah pretty weird indeed.
But hey, you have to be crazy first in order to become a new and upcoming youtuber like Tavarish.
It is just financial therapy for them.
Love seeing jack on camera more often! You guys should have a track battle between his evo and the focus RS!
18:40 "I used to have gloves, where did my gloves go, why did i take my gloves off" *cuts to him still not wearing gloves and continuing to work on the car for the next while without them on* 😂😂
There's an aluminium (or plastic) rod in the toolkit of most Audis - you screw that into one of the stud holes in the hub and then "hang" the wheel from it - makes it much easier to line up the wheel bolts 😃
I only wish I had half of your enthusiasm when it comes my channel, you seriously are one of most fun to watch and definitely help lift my spirits since I’ve been laid off from work.
Good job man and keep up the good work !🎉
Ive always loved the r8s, its super cool to see this in depth stuff. AND the fact that your giving it away when its done is super exciting!!
Wow! Audi R8 has been my dream car for years. I would be more than happy to take it off your hands...after you're done with it. I'll even let you bring my 1977 Maserati Bora, one of 19, out of storage so I can have it running again. It went in storage in Las Vegas when I left Nellis AFB for my assignment to Aviano, Italy...in 1994! It has been stored since then but I moved it to my dehumidified garage in Florida.
I've always been a fan of the early Audi R8 over the later model's the only down side to them was the v8 but you'll sure be making my dream car a reality. I hope you document the engine swap all the way through so i can use it as a tutorial one day keep up the good work man ive been a fan since you started on the white Lamborghini and it makes me happy to see your successes.
You love wiring harnesses. Haha. Hey just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. I got totally enveloped in the P1 series and can’t wait to see the end product. Thanks to you and the guys for everything. Love watching!
It's great to watch you take apart one R8 and create a new better R8. Keep the videos coming!!
Great work! I love that you spend the time going through the repairs and not just farming them out to a local shop. I really enjoy your interactions with Jack. Your project and collaborations with other TH-camrs (like Matt Armstrong) really make me look forward to your videos. Keep it up and I can't wait to see how this and the P1 turn out!
If I ever had to pick an Audi to own, Hoovie's r8 would definitely be at the top of that list. Nice to see an update after like 9 months. Good to see Tavarish and crew "piss excellence" again. 😂
Now I do everything except transmission work on my own cars. One was A 92 Audi S4, 92 Mercedes 300TD. Unfortunately I was on the way to get my plates. When it got Broadsided. Now just a 08- W211/ E550. But you are one of my Heroes! Your Friends are also great People! 😉
The Audi R8 is a hell a ride. That one needs a lot of work, but good luck. One of your lucky subscribers will be happy. Great video, BTW.
Love this build.will be interesting to see what you come up with. Definitely one of my favourite Audis. Glad that you decided to keep the AWD system, too. 🎉
I love Rex's upholstery cleaning services
Loved how he took the frunk out at 3:55 like it’s a trash can 😂😂😂😭
"What do I do with my hands?" You are so funny! Love all your builds. I think you guys will do a great build on my car! Can't wait to win it!
I’d actually like those old rotors. I could use them for a future aerator project I’m going to work on. The rotors are round and heavy enough to drive a pipe into the ground and help the roots of my grass grow. Little tool I found online, and bit heavy rotors are best.
I can’t believe this car will be given away one day, this was my brothers and I’s favorite car since we saw it need for speed carbon. To win this from the Tavarish channel would be a dream come true.
You guys tackle some of the toughest builds. Man. Good luck!
Respect your dedication to detail and fixing all the small things even though you're giving it away! Excited to see the end result
