The yaris is like one of the coolest cars ive seen

What u have with awd is ultimate stability in car control. The drawback is when you see the straight acceleration decreases a little bit due to awd system having more resistance from all tires and its extra mechanical parts.

The gear ratio of gr yaris allow her to accelerate in 0-60 faster than civic and furthermore the awd system help it plant all is power better. But clearly civic take lead when past 100mph as top end power speaks up

@@keylimepie210 i'm not talk about such that scenario. What i talk is when both car raced in closed circuit track not a public road. and every circuit has different corner and straight setup. More corner and short straight would giving yaris more advantage, while civic can overtake yaris if the corner is not such tight for civic and the straight is long enough.
@@muhammadhanifkurnaen6689 Circuit track is irrelevant as it doesn't signify day to day reality of being in a city with city roads in Europe. A Yaris would win hands down. However in the US where all roads are straight and very wide then yes, a civic r would win....but only once you reach higher speeds, and by then I would pretend like I need to take the next exit and slow down and never give the Honda the satisfaction of passing me hehehe!

Yaris has 120Nm per cylinder and honda 100Nm so Toyota needs 20% stronger components to have equal reliability
A naturally aspirated engine only produces like 53Nm per cylinder so it’s easier to meet the requirements
As a comparison the 1.0l ecoboost 140cp 180Nm has 60Nm per cylinder so it’s not that high but I’ve heard they still have problems. The small capacity on the other hand needs higher pressure inside the cylinder so that means it needs stronger gaskets and cylinder head although the pistons, rods, rod bearings, crankshaft are not affected because of low torque per cylinder.
Honda 200Nm/1000cc, yaris 225Nm/1000cc
Ford 180Nm/cylinder.
Naturally aspirated 3.0l 315Nm (from bmw for example n52b30) 105Nm/1000cc. So all small capacity engines have about a pressure twice as high and need stronger headgaskets.
Power only means longer periods of high forces so not that critical.

The yaris is geared alot shorter, it being an effect of less power. I on the other hand see it as a plus, shifting that 6 speed manual is a treat 😊
wrong shorter gearing leads to more torque on the wheels so, you will be faster until a surtain amount of speed

@@ey_malla5412 oh true, what i meant to say was its a 1.6 against a 2 litre, so one just has more to give per gear than the other.
And don't underestimate the effect of the gear ratios to the powerband of the engine. Sometimes when u have lots of hp it is possible it's just not working nice, mostly when te revlimiter is coming closer. Gas vs diesel and turbo or n.a engines, It has to fit each other for the best results imho.

I think that "In the lead" is not accurate. Faster or higher speed suits better IMO because if you do a drag race, when the speed of both cars are equal the yaris is ahead from civic.
Man sieht schön oben ab 180 geht der Honda besser,da mehr Hubraum,da geht dem Yaris mit seinem 3 Zylinder der Dampf aus,aber alle beide gehen sehr gut.

@@mountaingoat4124 Yeah but in all fairness these cars don't have enough power for the drive configuration to make that much of a difference. The Civic pulled away hard after 135km/h. It didn't have the best possible launch because the driver shifted so slow between 1st and 2nd.

VVTi is just variable valve timing, which is Toyota's equivalent of Vtech (variable lift).
yaris (cheap) speedometer has been recorded from ~45degree angle. When the video pauses at 100, the real needle should be around 90km/h

Yes, but its usually down to a lower fuel map, I think the Euro car needs to run on 95 Ron fuel (factory map) v the JDM being mapped for 98 usually.

Nic specjalnego to porównanie nie pokazuje. Yaris jest droższy, gorzej wyciszony, mniejszy i 3 lata młodszy od civica. Przyspieszenie do 100 musiało tak wyjść, bo 4x4 vs FWD zawsze się tak kończy, później Honda nadrobiła.
