Whenever I see a pocket rocket doing this type of speed I remember my brother and I overtaking a BMW 735i at close to 200kph in his Fiat Uno Turbo. The BMW driver was 'cruising' gently, while we felt like we were about to take off, probably the same as the Yaris and Panamera.
I mean, my N55 BMW is around 340hp and has over 500nm, this is 340hp and 390nm. It's obviously going to suffer in the torque department because of the small displacement. Then you have to factor in the all-wheel-drive system. This is a great car for windy roads and mountain passes - it's obviously not designed as an Autobahn cruiser.
I've seen plenty footage of that Toyota at Nurburgring Nordschliefe....leaving much more expensive cars behind because of how stable it drives through corners, it's a momentum car where you try to brake as little as you can while cornering while also trying squeeze as much out of it between the corners. Audi could learn that it's possible to make an AWD car that doesn't understeer at every touch of the throttle.
The Toyota GR Yaris is so useable (narrow and short) compared to the Porsche on ordinary roads. The Yaris is a driver's car. Anyone can put their foot down on a motorway.
Not to mention that a Panamera gonna depreciate and lose a lot of its value while the GR Yaris is already a collectors car and worth way more then its original price.

The Yaris GR might not be a beauty, super fast, super light or anything else. BUT it is a s super fun sports car with ralley genes out of the box manufactured by Toyota with utmost precision. This car will survive whatever you throw at it and you will have the time of your life doing so.
I’m really not impressed. The measurement are identical as my 335i e93 with 354hp and almost 2 tons of weight. For a small little car it’s not impressive, the engine seems weak

The porche is way faster flat out but the yaris driver likely has a smile on his face the entire drive, every drive. Never seen a porche driver smile, especially if the driver is also German 😅
@@buziochi2959 The acceleration is impressive. Had the 2.0 D4D 126 bhp Avensis and it was so good on highway. Pulling very well and overtaking was great. We gave it a chip tune, and it got even faster.

Yeah no way it's 340hp. Maybe it's another case where they use a trash tune chip instead of a proper custom ECU tune. Also these Yaris are know to be really hard to measure their real power, with very varying result between consecutive runs at the Dyno

@@dorsetchap4487 I had a S1 for 5 years and sold it for a GR Yaris 3 years ago. I can definitely tell you, that the Yaris is the faster car just everywhere (both stock!). However, most importantly (for me) the GR Four AWD System is just miles ahead to the one used in the S1, if you like controlled drifting in the snow there is just no better car available.

Guys, ZR Yaris M15A-FKS and GR Yaris G16E-GTS are engines built for torque and acceleration They working better between 3000rpm and 6000rpm, not top speed to take them into 7000rpm! I have the ZR Yaris M15A-FKS with 153Nm and 125hp, manual 6 gearbox and I feel that this engine works better in that rpm range
Dieser Porsche Pannemann (nein, nicht verschrieben) kam doch schon mit höherem Tempo von hinten an, sonst wäre der nicht SO schnell da vorbeigeglitten... Würdet ihr zwei nicht immer solche absolut bescheuerten Kamerapositionen in Bezug auf den Rückspiegel wählen, hätte man das auch erkennen können.

With 340 hp and 1300kg this toyota should easily do 250+ km/h. At the beginning of the video it was written that the top speed is 230 km/h.
Factory limited.
If you disable the factory limit of 230km/h, then the GR Yaris does around 260km/h completly stock (261hp).
Weight has a very small impact on top speed. Gearing and aero are the relevant factors
