Can you explain technically, what makes you feel so? I innately appreciate this kind of music a lot but have basic musical knowledge which I learnt fiddling around with a piano. So I would like to see how it the composer went about creating it in the first place... what structure is there to the music.

I like this performance very much. Mozart's symphonies are often played with grave seriousness, like those of Beethoven's or Bruckner's, but here we have all the lightness, grace, heavenly pace, as if Amadee conducted it himself. Tempo is perfect, focused on phrases rather than every single note. I can clearly hear each instrument. A listener delight. Many thanks for publishing!

Try Neville Marriner conducting the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields or Colin Davis conducting the Staatskapelle Dresden, they will knock your socks off!

40 in G is probably my favorite symphony of Mozart's, but this performance shows the importance of the conductor. No one brings Mozart's music to life like Salemkour! This is the pace, the phrasing the creator intended...Period. Bravo!

I've been watching this performance for years to help me concentrate when writing papers. However, I have only now realised that I can unlock the true speed of the human brain by increasing the playback speed of this video to 1.5x (at 1.75x the notes become too muted).
Still coming back to this incredible performance, but this time listening at the correct speed.

A lot of music that he has got sound similar. Don't you hear it? Moreover, there might be unknown amateur composers that we will never know about. So, Mozart could make great arrangements also. I am sure of that!

Brilliant performance! Loved the conducting of phrases and trusting the musicians to precisely fill in each nuance. The winds are so few for this symphony, yet so “gigantic” the way Mozart composed for them. The flutist’s tone is a dream. Each individual wind is so outstanding! Wow, enchanting!
