I’m 70 and just traded in my 2019 Ram Laramie for the 2021 Mojave. The Ram was great but I love the Mojave. No regrets at all. It’s not ugly it’s brutally handsome.

@@G.Uppercut123 Already traded in my X5 for a 2023 M sport lol. This thing is the opposite of timeless, it’s absolutely hideous. I really hardly know anyone that likes these. They’re overpriced, slow, drive terribIy, and again look not great.

@@mattX5 you clearly don’t understand the word timeless.
No one will remember your bmw unless it’s the actual M version. Otherwise BMW this generation looks like a 🐽 You traded in a 2016 for another bland looking one since you clearly couldn’t afford a true M.
But yet you clicked and watched a video on the Gladiator, and had to shit on a 70 year old’s comment. Which demonstrates a lot about you. 🤡

I agree with you on FCA. I think they have been doing great from an enthusiast perspective to give us interesting products. As a Jeep enthusiast I love the fact that they finally gave us a Jeep truck after so many years. Yeah, the Gladiator is kind of strange looking stock, and a 5.7 option would be ideal, but with bigger tires it looks good.

Tedward EXACTLY! Wayyyyy too many automakers nowadays are obsessed with chasing trends, copying what everyone else is doing, and attempting to pander to the greatest common denominator. And it shows in the products those companies put out. FCA just goes balls out and they FUCKIN OWN IT! Huge respect for that.

I think what you are trying to say is that fca has great design language. Each product feels like it knows exactly what it’s supposed to be and what it isn’t supposed to be as well. I have a power wagon. It’s meant to be a big heavy duty off road truck. It feels like a big heavy duty off road truck. Certainly isn’t the smoothest truck on the road but it isn’t just rough for nothing. You can actually feel the strength. I mean is literally called a “power wagon” right on the side

ok, I made it to 11:47. 1- It's not just the Raptor that walks, all Ford trucks do. If their suspension. (F150 and F350 owner) I looked at a Mojave today and fell in love with the stance, the accents, and most of all the suspension. If I got one as a daily driver to run to the store and stuff, it would be a waste of money. If you don't spend a fair amount of time off road with it, it will wait till you go to sleep and kill you. It wants to be off road, it loves off road.

Dodge and Jeep are my favorite detroit brands. I have always loved jeeps since going to the Chrysler drive events as a kid. My family got invinted since my parents bought my 1999 Durango brand new. I have test drove jeeps, including driving my Grandpa's 97 TJ. I will say the new JL manual is not bad on road. It is geared high so you may be using 4 low a lot. However the throws and clutch feel are nice and responsive for a truck. I only drove the four door, but would be interested in trying a Gladiator. A lot of people hate the manual Gladiator and prefer the 8 speed auto. I feel personally a Jeep is more pure with a manual.

    • @TedwardDrives

Agreed..although an auto can be nice for crawling. But as a 2,000 dollar option, it would be easy to eliminate the Auto from the MSRP for a cheaper spec

I’ve driven one of these before. It was a mojave with the gladiator. The passing power was brutal. With an 8.5 second 0-60 and only 280 hp in a large truck, it really struggles up hill and merging, without a trailer.

Tedward it’s more to the toy end of things..for backcountry all year beating on a vehicle it’s hard to top either a taco or else anything costing $5k or under that you never wash and carry a mountain bike in back in case it breaks down. Cathy has fibromyalgia and she spent ten years as wildlife photographer in tacos and FJ...it’s not the same I know but when chosen properly and used as tool for the job, trucks offer a lot...kinda interested to see the reincarnation of land rover that’s called a Gladiator. We drive past a Jeep dealer on way to town most days and must admit they have a nice look..
