So in your first 5 months did you not earn a penny in commission? If so, was your basic salary enough to cover your basic necessities i.e rent, food, car etc
Just found your channel and I’m obsessed with it. I don’t do real estate but I work in sales and it’s nice to see someone talk about what this career path is really like. Especially cos you’re so young, I just turned 27 so well done on what you’ve done so far🫡
The easiest fix for the irregular pay issue you described is to just live within your means. Don't let your fixed expenses go above your base salary and just put your commission earnings into saving, investment, or emergency fund.
I’m going to start applying for sales negotionator jobs as soon as I get my driving licence sorted, I don’t have experience in that field just sale assistant jobs in the past.
This was a great video and was very extensive and detailed. Just one question, did you get your current job without any experience of working or was it your first-ever job ?
You are so close to 1000 Subscribers! No doubt you will get there SOON because you always deliver INFORMATIVE & HONEST information...... It's always cool to hear and see your progress. 👍👍 My best friend is a Realtor in Florida so it's interesting hearing different prospective. "The 3rd positive before we hit the depressing stuff" LOL OH boy, I totally get people that tend to tell you so much about their life, which can be VERY beneficial for your field. You have an AWESOME outlook on life Bart! KUDOS!!! WORK LIFE BALANCE, yes..it took my friend a few years to find that balance when first starting off...... not easy for sure in your field of work.
I think you mentioned that the commission in the UK is quite less than in America, but in America, they don't get the salary as well (I believe). Would you rather have a bigger commission or lower commission and salary?
Super informative 👍 great vid , quick question Have you got any recommendations on companies in the London area to look out for when looking for an estate agent job ?
What a content, love it mate! I'm from Germany and I'm about to start at as a negotiator at Engel&Völkers - you might know it from London then have several offices there too! However thanks for your videos. P.s. I'd love to see more of the day in life video:)
Bart I heard stories where estate agents have their potential clients stolen or “poached” by their own colleagues? Later the estate agent transferred to a new office where they didn’t allow stealing sales but did you encounter this? BTW we need an updated video 👌
Hey What do you mean by pipeline? A clients network? How do you build this up when you know no body in the area? Are you paid a general annual wage? Thnaks!
The pipeline is the deals that are agreed and going through conveyancing. Building a network happens over time. And yes, there is a basic salary. Thanks for watching!
Hi Bart, I really enjoy your videos! I have entered the industry almost identical time as you did and work in almost the same area as you do (Kingston based). I am a bit unsure about how I feel about a few things and would love to grab a pint with you one day after work to get a second opinion?
Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Hi, I'm a sales negotiator just outside of London, and I completely disagree with the racism comment above. I'm a muslim from a Middle Eastern country and I can guarantee you that racism/discrimination doesn't happen, what matters is your ability to be able to talk and build relationships with people! The industry, in my opinion, is far from being discriminatory..
Hey, ive just started up in the industry and I am pooping it. Scotland based here so house prices are a bit lower. Ive been quite lucky to find a role 50% comission! Though i have no base salary 🥴... gunna starve on my first few months i think 😂
Hi Bart, I’m a sales neg in my local city in south England, me and my girlfriend have a property in central east london that we are looking to move to in 2 years. What’s the likelihood of me being able to start work in london with only a small amount of local knowledge. Any advice ?
I've just turned 40 and I'm starting to get in to this game. I'm taking over the game watch out
Good luck! Ps. I just posted a new video :)
oh man I've been in the industry for 3 yeas and it's rough. It gets better though. I only make money through commission so the hustle is always real.
Keep hustling!

It was just about enough! But yes to start off with it was tough

I've been looking into doing this and have some companies I'm interested in joining. Which company are you with?
I’m with one of the top 3

I think now that I’ve got a bit of experience I’d probably forgo a salary for more commission

Hi Hamid, I started as a sales negotiator. Thanks!
How much are you earning per month base salary if you don’t mind me asking? And how much commission do u make as a beginner ?
It varies massively depending on where you work
