Reviewing All PSP Launch Games With My Best Friend

  • PlayStation Portable launched March 24th, 2005 here in North America. And let me tell you something, it was hype. After Sony had dominated the console market with the PS1 and PS2, it was a massive deal that they would be stepping into the portable marker and offering console quality games on-the-go. I bought a PSP at launch, and my best friend got one later that year. We both had a great time with it, and today - we’re gonna look back at every PSP launch title and give them the ol’ college try. Just how good was the launch lineup? That’s for Terell and I to determine. What’s that? I can’t hear you. I’m playing portable nut. Whaaaaat?!

      Exactly, they don’t have to be as in your face as he’s trying to make them.
      Lol these “best friend” videos are a bit too try hard…I’ve noticed a trend in similar videos the last few years amid all the headlines featuring racism leading events.. a lot of white influencers, TH-camrs, etc, have been intentionally finding reasons to make ANY content featuring a black person and plaster their face/presence all over it, just to help add to their cred/make it clear that they’re not racist and all that type of shit lol
      Like trying hard to make wholesome type videos that it appears that they’re trying a little too hard to not be apart of the racist pricks that make the headlines lol..like it’s good that these things exist but they don’t have to be done in this way….”playing games with…mY bEsT FriEnD!!” Like those types of titles aren’t typically a thing, except to solely focus on the BEST FRIEND part as if to rub that in your face to make 100% CLEAR 😂 you don’t have to try that much ryan, we love you all the same and don’t think you’re a racist dude!

    They had to include that because most games had some form of "Game Sharing" where you would connect to your friends PSP who has a game you want to play together. Then the one without the game downloads a demo version of the game essentially and you can play two player (or more) while only having one game. This was tons of fun.

    PSP was the console that made me interested in PlayStation. I was solely a Nintendo guy until August 2008 when I got a PSP and Crisis Core for my birthday. I downloaded so many PS1 classics back then, it felt limitless how many games I had to play on my PSP.

    I got my PSP in Fall 2005 strictly for Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories. To be able to play GTA on the go at the time and face a friend in a deathmatch was mind-blowing to me. I didn't play that many games but the games I did have, I spent a lot of time playing. This brings back memories and it's cool to see videos with your best friend and you.

    actually, if you have just only one copy, of say, Fired Up, you can just share a demo with your friend and play some ad-hoc action, which was pretty neat! There's a lot of games that supported it, like Killzone, Wipeout, etc. You didn't had to always have two copies of a game

    My first PSP game, and online experience was a Solcom Fire Team game. Another great video Ryan. It brought back so many memories. This was my first ever PlayStation console. I remember watching videos that came installed on it. (Omarion, Petey Pablo)
    I had NBA (not great) NFS was good and played hours on it. NHL Gretzky game was decent. I remember making a team with 5 Wayne's on the line up. I hated paying $100 for a 1 gigabyte memory stick. But it was all worth it once I was able to hack my console, and play countless of NES, Super NES, and Genesis games on it. The PSP also gave me my favorite Sony portable game ever. Pursuit Force till this day is played on my PS Vita. Can't wait for the next video. Happy New Year to you both

    6:35 The reason they include that is because at the time a few games were hyping up a feature called Game Sharing which was the ability to let one friend own the game and another friend download a temporary game file to their PSP so they could play together despite only one of them owning the game.

    • @suntannedduck2388
      @suntannedduck2388 ปีที่แล้ว

      A cool feature but very uncommon/rare for sure. WipEout Pure and Pulse are the only games I know that do it (only have HD/Pulse making it possible to do some stuff too) but yeah many don't use it. Download Play for demos or game trialing with 1 copy was a great idea on DS though that and I never understood what ad hoc until later in life, let alone had anybody to play with so had singleplayer only for the most part and still do or even had HD or Pulse until much later. A cool idea very underused. Same with the Stealth & Pure demo combo being the only one of its kind.

    Can’t wait to see the PS2 launch games video as it’s quite interesting, and on top of it quite a bit more games than usual (for NA at least)
