This is video number # 1077 in the series that is all about bad drivers.Here you can learn how to /how not to drive and behave in traffic. original commentary and/or storyline at the beginning or at the end of the clips throughout the compilation.Please, read each clip text commentary on the video screen. We tried to give you additional information about so you can better understand what did driver do wrong.
Here you can learn about consequences of bad driving/driving fails so you can educate yourself and be a better driver.
I edit the raw footage (I need a couple of days for every video I make),I add the location of the incident, I add arrows that follow cars to make the situation easier to be seen. I zoom in and out so everyone can see the action and many other things.

At first I thought it was the driver from the rear vehicle that crashed into him. Flying through the windshield and back window.
It boggles my mind that you can sit in a moving car and not have a seatbelt on, I could never do it.

Last second dive to the exit under the assumption nobody would be going faster than them on their right. A bad assumption, even if people shouldn't be doing so. Mirrors exist on both sides for a reason.

3:18: Yep, they tried to hide it, but their diagonal direction of travel gives their unsafe lane change away. They might have fooled their insurance. But the other guy's insurance is not going to payout when they see this footage. It will go to court and the cammer will be compelled to upload the full, unredacted footage, or lose by default based on the "adverse inference" of trying to hide evidence.
Do insurance companies actually pay out for some of this stupidity? Driving across a flooded road, especially with it all on video. Driving across is a choice, not an accident. IMO.
They pay out for stupidity, yes, but your rates will go up.
I'm thinking the insurer probably gets a different version of the story than what we saw. And if nobody sends them the video, well....

0:00 Inching out of the driveway in front of an oncoming driver like that would have been a jerk move even on perfect road conditions. In ice and snow it's sheer idiocy, and he should have been fired for it.
2:20 Boggles my mind that he tried driving through that when the rail alongside the road visibly dips from waist-high to barely above water. That rail likely saved his life when the car started to float off the road, and hopefully warned many other drivers away from the same mistake.
6:15 I bike on dirtier bike lanes than that all the time, and think nothing of it. This biker is either a shameless wuss, or just seizing an excuse to invade the car lanes and get self-righteous about it.

He is correct. Most cyclists are douche canoes when on the roadways. They intentionally block traffic and then feel justified to lecture others. I loathe them almost as much as I loathe crotch rocket riders.
Maybe, but gmz still ist the bigger idiot here. Just because someone does something wrong doesn't mean that you are also allowed to. Overtaking while coming up to a red light was completely unneccessary, and he didn't maintain the proper distance.

7:50 Crazy that this incident happened on the morning of 3/12/2024 and then gets featured on this channel only a few hours later. That driver should be losing their CDL in regards to this. Plus, the cleanup thankfully only went for a couple of hours, so kudos to the highway crew for getting this tunnel back into service.

technically, Samaritans were vile awful people that everyone hated when the parable was written. The whole point was that you should judge the good behavior over the known evilness of the person. If written today, it would probably have been the parable of "the good meth dealer."

Agree, in AZ there is a law called 'Stupid Motorist Law' any road closed with barriers during a flood and a driver proceeds past the barriers and needs rescue, they are fined and billed for the rescue.

Boohooo, stop whining, Karen! The cyclepath in the video was close to perfect conditions, puddles can be found on any road. The cyclet4rd in the video even used it when it suited him cutting corners. If the ride is too "bumpy" get a cycle that is suitable for the conditions you are riding it in but don't hinder and annoy other road users. @@khanoclast

Here in Germany you must! have 1,5m (5ft) space between your car and a bike - in urban areas. outside urban areas 2m (6ft 8in). So you must! get on the next lane. In this situation, it would be impossible to overtake the bike - and there is noe reason to do. the traffic light was red, so why put him in danger? Even if he was riding to far left - his failure does not justify you to fail as well.

Unless there is a true obstacle, not gravel, bike must use the bike lane.. how much you bet if there wasn't cars turning the entire red light the biker would have run the light

@@rogerw-interested and red lights don't apply to bicycles either... Read some local ordinances. Where I am at a bicycle can't use side walks and must use bike lanes where provided unless obstacles prevent their use.

Some cyclists are never happy. They complained they have to share the road with cars, but when they get their own lane it's not good enough, so they still invade car lanes.

There was a somewhat similar incident near me. They were riding two wide in their extra wide bike lane but still blocking traffic to send one from rear of the pack to front as a new pace setter. A car driver called them out, words were exchanged. The bicycle rider took his grievance over being told to stay in their lane to an online forum... from there the car driver heard about it again. Car driver posted from his official town chief of police account with photos of what they were doing and the applicable local laws about bicycle use on that particular road they were violating.
One like from a cyclist. Those lanes are for everyone's benefit (and the bike lane looked pretty good to me)

Most states will force drivers to cover infrastructure damage if it is determined that the damage was the driver's fault. Good chance that that driver is also going to lose their CDL over this.

I hope the driver in the downtown tunnel is ok. I used to live in the area with these tunnels in Va. The traffic is already deplorable, especially at the HRBT (going into Norfolk from Hampton & back again), so when there is an accident, you can get stuck sitting for hours. There are a fair number of tunnels in that area. It can be nerve-wracking going through them.
So, is horrendous speed faster or slower than ludicrous speed? Asking for a friend.....

I stick to greenways, have a bell to warn pedestrians, and stay out of the way of cars, even if that means having to get off the road entirely. Part of this is also self-preservation.

Agreed about it being a courtesy beep. Cyclist was just being lazy. There were no real hazards preventing him from properly staying in the bike lane.
