Arkansas police dash video = Someone is going to get pitted.
Were they ever lol
Heck of a pit too, got the truck grinding on that divider for a moment lol
They beat the crap out that truck.
Usually there is a lot of radio chatter about traffic, road conditions, supervisor permission, etc pre-PIT. But not in Arkansas, they're gonna get you lol.
@@Roddy556 I was getting my angry typing knuckles aligned, as at first I thought the cop gave the guy like 3 seconds to pull over before the PIT, but obviously that was in intercept from an ongoing chase. That said, I still would have liked to see the cop wait for a clearer patch of road, and my thoughts on PIT above a certain speed in general.
When young and learning to drive a manual transmission, your worst nightmare is getting stuck at a redlight on a steep hill with someone close behind. Brought back memories.😁
That person should probably spend a bit more time in a parking lot before tackling intersections lol.
My "driving teacher" made me practice for a full hour "starting on slope"... It should be mandatory.
yep, brought back memories
Reasons I love the “hill holder” on my current MT….learned how to use the hand brake on my older ones…
A guy too close behind me gives me nightmares, too. Driving or not!
2:01 the number of cammers asking "who's at fault," when it's obviously them, is frightening. the other vehicle's light was still yellow, so the cammer would have been at fault. I will not turn in front of someone unless I'm positive their going to stop first (even if their light is red)
Well, that young driver had a green light...
@AnnOminous7 if you're referring to "RBTravelMotorider" at 1:21, yes he definitely wasn't at fault. My comment was referencing the clip at 2:00 with the cammer almost turning left in front of a White Honda SUV
That cammer at 2:06 should have waited until it’s clear had they want to cross. The better option is to stop at the red light.
@@SlevinCCX I had an accident not far from this one, that was the exact same. I was going straight and the opposing car was turning left at the yellow. The turning car got the ticket, for failure to yield right of way.
@@SlevinCCXcorrect. Cammer tried to turn left, assuming the other car would stop due to it being a yellow light. Other driver did not. As the other driver was going straight, he had right of way. Cammer _must_ yield. If light turns red while cammer is waiting to turn, if he is already in the intersection, he can turn turn left as he now has right of way. Personally, I don't like this method, because as the old saying goes, graveyards are filled with people who had right of way. Without a dash cam, if you get a car trying to beat the red who actually runs the light, it's a he said/she said situation at best. And with a dash cam, you still have a wrecked car.
2:14 - "OMG! We were almost killed!" Melodrama much?! 😃
It looked like cardboard to me, that was flying off the truck
2:23 For sure Brooooooaaaaaahhhhhh
2:05 yes, you were in the wrong. If a collision had occurred you would have been cited for failure to yield to right of way.
I thought that too but Apparently in Ontario where this happened you’re required to stop at yellows if it’s safe vs “use caution” in the US. Weird but I can understand why she asked who’s fault now. It’s a 25mph (40kmh) street with a 3 second yellow so theoretically he could be ticketed and partially at fault. I don’t know if the cammer would still be ticketed for failure to yield or not.
@@rileyheiner4977 I have been in this exact same accident in Ontario and the turning driver was the one who got the ticket for failure to yield. The driver crossing traffic always has to yield the right of way in Ontario.
So what I’m saying is I believe it would be situational and depending on proof. In the U.S. typically insurance companies determine fault, and they’d have a field day with this video if the yellow light law was written the way it is there. Even in the us if you can prove the oncoming driver was speeding excessively it’d reduce your responsibility because you both could have prevented it. Even if only one person got a ticket, both could be held responsible by insurance since they both were breaking the law at the time. It’s not uncommon here for people to not get tickets when at fault either. Admittedly though not sure how Canadian insurance determines fault. I assume the person turning left would be held at a higher percentage of fault since there are situations you can legally go through a yellow. However I don’t know because you’re not required to yield to a red light runner while turning left, and it seems ontario laws treat yellows kind of like a red light IF you can stop safely and a green if you can’t. again though I’m just going by what the law says and the closest examples I can think of. I also found a Canadian legal site from another province that basically says it’s complicated lol. I’m guessing the yellow light law is not enforced frequently there. Still if the other person has time to stop, it’s a law just like the yield law. Again though I’m talking about the technical details not the enforcement which may be different. It’s such a vague law it’s likely difficult to enforce without clear proof. It seems like a lawyer or insurance agent would have seen enough different situations to have a better idea about these laws than any of us. Anyways thanks for the discussion!
@@rileyheiner4977 yellow doesn't mean "use caution" in the states. It is if safe to stop you must stop. it is based upon how far away you are from the intersection when light turns yellow. Called google, use it or maybe just maybe reread your DMV handbook.
The "use caution" is a flashing yellow.
@@kidm0bius190 lol I grew up in Utah, which is part of the majority of the U.S. where it is perfectly legal to go through a yellow light. Google the utah handbook... I was taught to "use caution when proceeding through the intersection" by my drivers ed teacher after which he explained yellow lights are a very common time for left turn crashes and rear end collisions if you do stop. Flashing yellows are usually to indicate especially dangerous intersections so you can use caution to avoid cross traffic that may pull out in front of you. You can use caution in multiple places. According to a quick non-verified cuz I don't care enough to check google search it is only illegal to continue on a yellow in Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, Oregon, Virginia and Wisconsin. I will totally admit I wasn't aware of that, despite currently living in one of those states now (I drive much more calmly here so it's a non issue) So I do appreciate you pointing out that in some states it is illegal. I was incorrect to state it was the whole U.S. But it is legal in 43 states so you're also wrong. I'm not afraid of being wrong lol. I'd use caution on a yellow if you drive in states it is legal, or it's quite possible some one will rear end you and that hurts. Especially Utah. Google better.
1:40 They are evolving, now they drive just like real people !!!
1:20 Is that an extra charge for the pickup truck driver for making a misleading statement like that? It should be as his lies could really hurt the person driving the Civic.
It seems like lying to police is legal now. Just as hit & runs kind of are as well.

1:40 I work right next door to the Waymo warehouse. About a month ago, my coworkers and I watched one of these cars try to make a u-turn in our parking lot (this is when they still had actual drivers while they were programming the cars self-driving routes). There were 5 open parking spaces where they tried to turn around and it still took them 15 minutes to complete the u-turn! They could've reversed into any 1 of the open spots, then pulled away like normal, but no....they had to go back and forth for 15 minutes causing them to jam up our parking lot while people were arriving at 8am. They also kept pulling forward behind every parked car in a way that made it seem like they were taking pix of license plates. Oh yeah, they also go flying through the parking lot fast enough to catch air on the speed bumps.
@4:45 - I think the guy is still bouncing inside that vehicle - ha ha - and then the police car gives him another bump just for good measure

The hit and run at around 3 mins? One of my biggest bugbears with the American system is that you have so many driveways, and so few people using them! I live in the UK, and I would LOVE my own driveway, but not feasible. Why park on narrow roads when you know what can happen to one of your most valuable possessions? If you have a driveway, use it! I know I would!
Because Americans are so bad at reversing they want to be able to drive in, then drive out forwards as well.
Anybody else notice how pissed off Canadians get when someone else breaks the rules? 🤣
As a Canadian the additional complaints about the Halifaxian's illegal license plate tint seemed pretty unrelated

Smart people never anticipate a green light, nor do they expect people to slow or stop on a yellow light! Here in Ft Wayne, Indiana lately seem to think when the light turns red means 2 to 4 more vehicles can continue!
2:10 Yes! Yellow doesn’t mean punch it. It means caution, prepare to stop!
You should see people here from where I live. If you brake on the yellow or slow down instead of floor it, apparently, you're not a "real man"

Yellow light means light is about to change to Red, if you cannot stop safely then proceed with "caution". Even with a green light you are responsible to enter the intersection safely, remember Emergency Vehicles have the Right of Way.
Why does everyone throw the 'You're gonna be on TH-cam!' Is this the new insult trend? 😂
Remember the day when kids would say things like, my dad is gonna beat up your dad or some version like that?
1:59 - Person turning left (cammer) is required to wait until the intersection is clear and it's safe to complete the turn regardless of the color of the traffic light.
IKtoyman- yea its your fault. Never take the chance unless its protected. Never assume cause you have a yellow that the other side will stop. Never assume no one will speed up. In that position you had 2 options. 1). If you're in middle of intersection wait for the red then go since you're already committed. or 2). back up slightly/stay where you are if not in intersection.
Hsometimes the insurance rules partial fault for the straight driver in Canada because of yellow lights meaning stop if safe in I believe the whole country. Google "lawyers toronto left turn" and "canada amber light left turn crash fault" click on a few of the results and you'll see sometimes the straight driver is ruled partially at fault if they had time to stop and there's proof. It is for sure partially the cammers fault though, potentially full fault. Not saying it was smart on either of their parts. FYI ontarios website actually says you have to "go with caution" if you can't stop at a yellow. Lol okay I'm done. No hard feelings I just couldn't resist. lol I otherwise agree with your comment though. You should never assume on or off the road.

i dont know how anyone can do a uturn without looking????!?!?!!!
873 to 2k! 🤠
lktoyman, rule number one of driving is that signs, lights, and speed limits don't mean shiat. What counts is safety above all. Just because the light is a certain color it does not mean it's safe for you to turn. YOU determine if it's safe to turn by looking at what's going on around you. No matter what color the light is, if someone is approaching and not slowing down then it's not safe to turn. You did right by proceeding carefully which is why you were able to avoid a crash.
We really need these driverless cars off the streets.
You mean those punks racing 100 mph in the city were in driverless cars?

Savagewolf is SO brave. Until someone gets out of their vehicle and adjusts his attitude.
Parking lots don't have steep hills. Some learning curves involve doing it for real, you know..
1:55 - Yes, the cammer would have been ticketed. The cammer & the oncoming vehicle were both trying to beat the yellow light but where the blame falls upon the cammer is that they are the one that's turning across traffic & must yield to those in the opposite lanes of travel. That's why when you're stopped at a left on yield you should never pull out into the intersection because you then are forced to turn if your only opportunity to do so is after the light is changing or has turned red. You remain at the stop bar & wait until traffic is clear before proceeding through the intersection. This keeps the intersection clear in case you can't make a turn during the yielding light cycle. Another 60 seconds or so & the light would have been a protected green & the cammer would have the right of way to proceed with their turn.
2:44 - You've got to love instant karma! Bet the douchebag doesn't try that crap again in the future! Hope the the other vehicle's occupants weren't injured due to the jackass's actions!
1:58 Yes, you were in the wrong. Regardless of the state of the traffic light, any person attempting to turn left across lanes of traffic has the obligation to yield to oncoming traffic in the lane they're crossing. If it's red for them, it's red for you. If it's yellow for them, it's yellow for you. The law says you are not to enter an intersection to turn left until it is safe to do so. If the light is yellow and it is never safe to turn until it turns red, then there you sit at the stop line until it turns green again. So given that either both drivers are obeying the light, or both drivers are disobeying the light, then it comes down to a matter of who is legally required to yield, and that's the left turner.
3:04 That was your fault for distracting him with your dang rectangles.
2:33 Surprised the BMW did not rage at the cammer for daring to honk at them

looked like plywood to me, and if it had hit the windshield on the corner of the wood, it might have acted like a metal blade at those speeds.
2:00 Yes, you were wrong, and so was the other driver. According to Toronto law, you are no supposed to enter the intersection on yellow. Now, had you been in Arizona, you still would have been wrong because law here favors the other vehicle in this situation. You're wrong no matter what.
2:30 california drivers in Arizona are the worst
