RIP Kyosho Outlaw Rampage Pro your IFS will shredd on! Hit that like and Subscribe so I can build more stuff like this! Stay tuned for the running video, were going to send it!
The angle of the a arms isn't called rake, rake is the ride height difference between front and back, front A arm angle is called anti-dive or pro-dive and anti-squat or pro-squat for the rear. I had to learn every aspect of suspension tuning when I built a 1/10 RWD drift car like 15 years ago when people still thought it was impossible.
This has nothing to do with the arms. I have a off road IFS Playlist from a very talented designer on my channel, I suggest watching that series, castor is a big part of front suspension but in reference to bulk head angle rake is the term used. In motorcycles the head tube angle is never reffered to as castor but it is called rake. While Google shows these words to be interchangeable in reference to fixed geometry of the bulkhead rake is correctly used.
I believe more than 95% of this channel - along with many other modification RC channels - would understand, as they are most probably in a similar position as you are. Personally, I'm in the same boat as you, with the exception being that the kids can't get enough.
You talked about your kit-bashing modification style in an older video, and I appreciate it because it's what I do in RC too. You put a name to it and made me realize it's actually a thing. Less about special tools, more about creativity and using what's available in interesting ways. This vid is another great example!
I agree, we need more enthusiast in the development side of RC, hopefully with comments like this manufactures will take notice, thanks for the support 👍
I literally thought it was a real lifesize truck, the look and the way it handles n everything, the first few clips of the video and no matter how many times I rewatch it still looks real lol imo
Bravo dude! Love the pre-runner content. You send it each time and I appreciate it. Always quality, well thought out content. Can’t wait to checkout what you and kPopRC shredded up and gather some ideas of my own. I recently heard about that Outlaw kit and that wow this looks like a great place to start. I wondered why it kind of flopped. It’s sad that a name such as Kyosho couldn’t have made the needed improvements. Now I know why
This is a great build. I love how precise you measure everything but also eyeball some stuff and get it right. No RC company really makes a scale off-roader that can bash and run fast like yours do. The RedcatWendigo may be the closest example. When you start your own RC company I’ll be first in line to buy your rigs 😀 Take care👍🏾
Ha,thanks dude, comments like these remind me why we do these, I reached out to RedCat and a,few, other manufactures to bring a RTR prerunner to market. Thanks for the support dude👍😎
Thanks, nothing wrong with getting creative with what you got. These scale 4 link trucks have been the most satisfying to tinker and build. Thanks for watching 👍 have a good weekend 🤙 😎
A big improvement on my 2wd prerunner was to move the battery into a tray behind the rear axle. The weight transfer along with a rear sway bar was the perfect blend to make it drive decent. A steel cage would make that thing look so good!
I go into the CG pretty deep on the original build, it's not possible to get the battery any further back with a full drop bed and have a bed spare tire, this has a good rear sway and over 100grams of weight on the rear axle to help dig. 👍
@@DoubleClutchProductions Hey, here's a lil tip for you: I've been making skid plates from 2mm aluminum sheet for my touring/rally cars, and I've discovered you can cut it on a scroll saw quite easily in case you didn't know.
This is pretty cool conversion! I agree on IS that is somehow better on the front. I was thinking on doing the axle conversion on the rear for my Traxxas Summit LT - which in converted into a crawler. You can see in on my channel!!!
Even if the mods didn't work out you created an awesome rig. It looks amazing and just as you said I'm sure it will indeed shred! Very nice fab job! 👊😎
I have always loved the RC hobby. I was building and racing cars in the 1980s. In those days I always dreamed myself and thought how awesome it would be to have a real truck that could run like that. I could dial in the suspension I could make it smooth as butter over rough terrain fast so fast. I called glimpses of the Baja 1000 as often as I could. There was no TH-cam there was a baby Internet. The coolest fastest buggies I saw in real life war as la as the Tamiya grasshopper. And then cars like the RC 10 came out. And then a company called Losi. And then the RC 10T, losi xxt. Then time pass and I thought wow look at these trucks boy if we had a real truck that look like this and could run like this. So actually your video is the opposite of reality. You don’t have a scale model do you have the original the scale models are huge and have people driving them they are “upscaled“ the stadium trucks that exist today are freaking awesome and what I dreamed about as a child. Now I’m working on my giant killer robot still in the garage.
@@DoubleClutchProductions probably won't be for awhile since I spent a bit too much on drones this year. If you are looking into one yourself then there's a good number of units for the FPV goggles online. All it takes are 2 servos to look around.
