Which shows why he was struggling so much. But that’s not so far fetched since we’ve seen him build up enough wind pressure to knock over cans at 5%. It might not seem like a lot, but to create enough wind pressure to knock over cans at that distance, you wound need to me moving at least at 135mph with about 450lb of force behind it

john webber I’m not a Goku fanboy. Well I used to be until I realized Dbz is utter garbage. However, I can count on my fingers how many “famous” anime and manga characters that can beat goku, so it’s not a lot. The truth is Goku is the epitome of strength but that’s all his character is. People in the patreon suck up too much. It is nice to not have a filter and see people going off for clear bullshit that is brought up in these last few episodes of the season.
The natures of their quirks is something to be considered. Deku is strong, but when you force something with elasticity you will recieve all this strenght back, like the first scene. Also Gentle has more experience than Deku, he is older than him. However Deku is a quick thinker and never give up. This is not an epic battle like All Might vs One for All or even Deku vs Kacchan, but it is very fun to watch.

But deku is at 5-8%, and beams like those can go up to 2 tons a piece if they are a true titanium alloy. They are heavy, and it takes about the equivalent of 400 pro boxers in terms of force to break one. And the kid is lifting it at 8% of his true power, give him a break. And goku in his base is a solar system buster if LOWBALLED. Not comparable. Two different universes. Not everything is dragon ball my guy. And to put it more into perspective, at the speed the beam was moving at, the acceleration would’ve made the force of the impact and catch of the beam feel as if it were near 25 tons... as initial impact due to the acceleration. We’re talking about a 16 year old here who could probably dead lift and press more than 20+ guys at once.

They are simpletons. They don't realize that this series has the word "academia" in it for a reason. This is a school setting anime and it is an arc to show the kids enjoying school stuff and the opening gives it the fun type of vibe instead of serious heroes vs villains type of vibe like the others. I will say that Deku vs Gentle Criminal hit way harder in the manga with the art work, the intensity of the art work made it the sequences more impactful with the personal stakes involved. Honestly my favorite fight for focus of Deku. Anybody who really enjoys MHA as an anime-only should at least peak at the manga for that (I know it's before chapter 190 for the pro-hero arc). Also Overhaul arc as a whole felt better in the manga too (due to the studio having to do the MHA movie, which affected the consistency of the production).

The natures of their quirks is something to be considered. Deku is strong, but when you force something with elasticity you will recieve all this strenght back, like the first scene. Also Gentle has more experience than Deku, he is older than him. However Deku is a quick thinker and never give up. This is not an epic battle like All Might vs One for All or even Deku vs Kacchan, but it is very fun to watch.

Everyone calling out the Goku comparison I'd just like to add this is still Deku at the beginning of his journey. Like c'mon. Even ignoring Goku started out as being a gag character, he wasn't a planet buster when he was 15. You can't compare a universal level alien with 40 years of training and experience to a kid just starting out and only using a fraction of a power he can't fully control yet.

Had some bad luck trying to do something good and it ruined his life. He had a good heart but sometimes that isn't enough. You also need some situational luck.

Nahid... ok, look. I can see why you guys are called Normies, and I don’t mean that as an insult. But deku is at 5-8%, and beams like those can go up to 2 tons a piece if they are a true titanium alloy. They are heavy, and it takes about the equivalent of 400 pro boxers in terms of force to break one. And the kid is lifting it at 8% of his true power, give him a break. And goku in his base is a solar system buster if LOWBALLED. Not comparable. Two different universes. Not everything is dragon ball my guy. And to put it more into perspective, at the speed the beam was moving at, the acceleration would’ve made the force of the impact and catch of the beam feel as if it were near 25 tons... as initial impact due to the acceleration. We’re talking about a 16 year old here who could probably dead lift and press more than 20+ guys at once.
I know that many people don-t like this arc but an, here I can really enjoy the way Deku-s fighting style and battle instinct are growing.
So from what I'm hearing Nahid basically ruined episodes 21 and 22, idk what was going on with him at the time but he usually is very competent and often the only one who actually understands what they are watching.

They are simpletons. They don't realize that this series has the word "academia" in it for a reason. This is a school setting anime and it is an arc to show the kids enjoying school stuff and the opening gives it the fun type of vibe instead of serious heroes vs villains type of vibe like the others. I will say that Deku vs Gentle Criminal hit way harder in the manga with the art work, the intensity of the art work made it the sequences more impactful with the personal stakes involved. Honestly my favorite fight for focus of Deku. Anybody who really enjoys MHA as an anime-only should at least peak at the manga for that (I know it's before chapter 190 for the pro-hero arc). Also Overhaul arc as a whole felt better in the manga too (due to the studio having to do the MHA movie, which affected the consistency of the production).
