This episode just made me think of a great scam idea: show a trick, tell Brian it’s self working, have him replicate it, but it doesn’t work and you reveal it’s actually not actually self working at all. That seems like an og scam school move
I had a friend who had a trick like this, I can't remember how it worked. But the plot was along the lines of him and the spectator having a set of 5 cards, and by following along with his instructions, both the participants and his cards would organise themselves into a straight. He would start the trick by saying something along the lines of "I'm giving you the power to be an awesome magician" and would snap his fingers, then at the end, would snap his fingers again and say he was taking the powers back. And then, even following the exact same directions as before, the participant wouldn't be able to recreate the trick. Hoping someone might be able to recognise the trick I'm describing and hopefully shed some light on this. My memory is a little hazy because this is from like 7/8 years ago lol
I was going to say that bringing a 14-year-old to the Whiskey Vault is irresponsible, but then I remembered who her dad was and was like 'Eh, it's fine.'
Can do a riffle shuffle easily Can switch out coins, make them disappear and reappear Knows ins and outs of basic magic guided by the most famous magician alive. Does not now spades. Never change josie
@@JoeDiamondLive that's right. She will be taking over, mark my words. It would be great for her to show her dad a trick and confuse the bleep out of him with it. :D
7:53~ Let's say the guest cuts off the top X (X is a natural number, X≦20) cards from the deck, and by spelling the names, you deal Y (Y is also a natural number, Y≧X) cards off the top. After the guest cuts X cards off the top of the deck, the key card is the X-th card from the top, so there are X-1 cards above the key card. By dealing the top Y cards(spelling the names), you reverse their order. The X-1 cards above the key card are now below it, in other words, the key card is now Y-(X-1)=Y-X+1 cards down. By adding on top the X cards which the guest cut off beforehand, the key card is now (Y-X+1)+X=Y+1 cards down. Finally, by dealing the top Y cards again(respelling the names), the key card becomes the top card.
if you already know the name of your spectators : Imagine doing this trick with Snaps, not only revealing the card they are thinking of but with the cards that were put face down, revealing their name with the cards... don't know exactly how I will do it but I think it's definitely possible
So just to be clear the names are just to get more that their cards number? For example they have 12 cards so you would want the names to exceed 12 letters, right?
Would love to have the chance to go to RTX while you guys are there, would be an incredible two for one for me. Hopefully you get some special passes for RageSelect!
Does this trick work if the 3 names have more than 20 characters total? For example if someone is named Zachariah that's only leaving 9 characters for the other two names which might go over 20. Should you just shorten it to Zach instead for the purpose of the trick or does it not matter?
Damn, that show seems fun. Especially since it’s RTX. With RWBY stuff. Too bad it’s in Texas. And I’m in Cali. And I’m going to AX. ;-; Before anyone says, I genuinely would love to go. But travel is annoying.
with the not giving power to the audience for the reveal, even if you ask them first, they could still lie about what card they had if they want to ruin your trick
I know, I guess what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't be so paranoid about someone wanting to ruin your trick, as they would be able to regardless of whether you ask them before or after the reveal
Recently order your 2 books. Got them and love it. Only got stumped once so far haha anyways hope you guys make more books especially with all these new videos with y'all being scam nation lol I'm a way back sub from scam school before stupid c o vid lol anyways amazing books so far anyways
If the total number of alphabets from the 3 names combined is lesser than the total number of initial cards selected below 20, then the trick doesn't work.
When we saw that her secret number was eleven. And hevwas counting to 20 ... I had in my mind that he would end on the jacks, cuzz that would be card number 11. That would have been an amazing trick... That happend and it wasnt even the trick.
Maybe Josie could have an email address where people send her puzzles or riddles to see if she can fool Brian. That would be really cool to see her start becoming a fooler.
Yes but maybe have one of the team look first. I would love to see her actually do something that Brian doesnt know. Like maybe one of the other magicians could show her something and he doesnt know but this sounds like a great idea.
@@heidibaltom8138 oh yes or course. You never know who could send something creepy to a young girl. When i was 11 I played on an online game that had a chat room between the two players. This one guy swore he was Nicholas Cage and he wanted to talk dirty after I told him my age. I told him that i just wanted to play and he blocked me after that.

In other words,be a dick...for no reason.
Or it is self-working, but there is a necessary step that's not obvious. So it won't be a lie but Brian still won't be able to replicate it.
I did that to my niece with an ambitious card.
She spent weeks trying it and it never made it back to the top.
I don’t “teach them” to do it anymore.
Thanks for having me back on Brian! I know y’all are gonna love this one!
It's easy and great trick 👍🏽
I love how you can make these tricks look like something that would be hard and complicated.
You really are the best, Joe Diamond!
@@tiggert4002 thank you! Eugene Burger was a master of exactly that. I learned from the best, and I try to do him justice

Brian getting burned in front of over 1.93M subscribers by his own daughter was epic!
Right? I was dead 💀
I absolutely love this trick. As a beginner it's so easy to do since all the work is done for you
Brian, need some cream for that burn? 🤣
Dang! Josie is spittin' fire and Brian's just there eatin' it! 😂

Oh, I'm sure Brian will get his revenge.

When Brian gets roasted by his own daughter on camera🤣🤣I absolutely died
Oh god, I nearly died…. 😂💀
Was awesome
Love the math behind this trick. Many thanks!
Glad you enjoy!
Brian's kids are so smart and have a great sense of humor. 👍🏻 Hope they all get through college. 🎓
Even if their dad is a looser. 😊
This is so good. It feels complicated, but you can actually be terrible at slight of hand and still make it work.
"worth it" bless you Josie
Joe Diamond always amazing in scam nation, love it!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Literally his kids gonna be like Pen and Teller in School
0:48~ Ooh... Josie pulled off a riffle shuffle!!

Right? She killed us on set 😂
Love seeing both Josie and Joe Diamond.... your daughter is a star in the making.
Thank you!
Thats why i love this channel thank you
As punishment for calling Brian a loser on the internet, I think next scam nation, she has to learn the names of the suits.
HAHAHAHA... Agreed!

Is there a standard how many Numbers in letter/name to spell..?
The 3 names just have to add up to MORE cards than they remove from the deck
@@JoeDiamondLive Thanks. But under 20 who are max i quess !

with the not giving power to the audience for the reveal, even if you ask them first, they could still lie about what card they had if they want to ruin your trick
This is true of most card tricks, and not all that likely
If they want to ruin your trick, don’t show them anything! Find a better audience 😂

Fiddly, indeed you could do it with just 10 cards count... But it's a good principle

Hummm, to many options that have to be done. A spectator would loose interest following it properly in my opinion. But still a nice effect.
