    My wife now thinks I did a miracle.
    I tried this trick on my wife. It failed. I restacked the cards and let her shuffle the cards again and cut the cards again.
    She picked the exact same card.
    The best card force I have ever done.

    For those still watching this, the hidden beauty of this video is the technique he uses for a new deck to Stacked was perfected by Darwin Ortiz called the SI Stebbins Secret that he published in 1988. Once it’s practiced, it can be done really well just like it’s shown in the video. It’s great if you open a fresh deck of USPCC NDO cards and want to go straight into a Chased routine or two! I highly recommend hunting it down, it opens you to a world of possibilities!

      My guess is, as a prof magician, and by practice, you can know where card goes where with a brand new deck of cards ... if they have been really shuffled pretrick maybe it would've been more difficult.... that's my guess :)

    There was a mention when you put the rest of the cards away and the top and the bottom cards are different, chances are then 50/50. In this case, take both cards in the second deck, move one on the top of the second deck and place the other card next to the card on the table. That way even if it is the wrong card, you can save it by asking someone else to check the top card on the second deck. Or palm the card when you take the other one from the second deck and produce it from somewhere.

      Jay H As a magician, I had the whole method reverse engineered in one watch and was just wishing he'd have shuffled a little more, and still considered myself fooled because of that shuffle because handing a deck to another magician shouldn't result in a 90% chance. This is crazy. It had been a long time :)

    • @jamesfleming1155

      Actually it was super easy to figure out. He had a deck in NDO and started doing faro shuffles. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out he’s arranging the deck into a stack, most likely SS. To get the deck from NDO to SS you need what’s called the “SS secret” which is in a book I don’t remember atm. Not hating on the trick, it’s great. But certainly easy to figure out on the first watch if you are familiar with stack deck effects and faro shuffling

    I like to carry a deck of cards with me wherever I go. If someone walks into the room, I'll say, "Quick! Name any card in the deck!" They'll name a random card like the Queen of Diamonds. I'll cut to the middle of the deck and say, "BAM!" while I hold up the card that I cut to. 99.99% of the time, it's the wrong card. If that's the case, I'll say, "Dang! One day it will work and it will blow everyone's mind!" The first time it did work, I acted like I knew exactly what I was doing. The person in my group thought I was a wizard.
    A few months ago, I was meeting up with a group of about 10 people for lunch. The 4 that I was with knew the "trick" and would play along if I got it right. The next guy to show up to our table arrived and I told him to name any card. I cut to that card and he almost fell to the floor! He asked me to do it again and I did because I think explaining the gag is more funny than the actual trick. He named a different card and, "BAM!" I actually cut to it! The other guys at the table were freaking out. I played it cool. A few minutes later, another person showed up and the amazed guy was like, "Show him the trick!!!" So I told the new guy to name a card.... "BAM!" I go it right again! I kid you not! 3 times in a row! I decided not to press my luck anymore and refused to do that trick again.

      That's funny, your story sounds eerily similar to mine. A while back I was at a lunch meeting with a group of people and there was one really annoying guy there who kept doing this lame gag where he would randomly go up and shove a deck of cards in your face, tell you to pick one and then proceed to yell BAM very loudly and guess the wrong card. For some reason he thought this was funny, but pretty much everyone there thought it was stupid. Anyways, two friends and I at the meeting that day pretended to act like he had actually gotten it right. The poor guy actually thought he was performing miracles.

    I like these tricks(magic). Close up kinda stuff. I don't need to vanish the Statue of Liberty
    For me, dexterity is a problem. My inept stubby fingers have their difficulties. Much like the piano, typing, or knotting my shoelaces.

    This man is a business genius. I remember a long time ago posting on his scam school videos that I thought they were boring. He did one of the following
    Did he;
    (A) Get angry and insult me
    (B) Ignore me
    (C) Ask me exactly what I didn't like as to get more Information for his channel
    It was (C).
    I learned an important lesson that day. I learned that all lessons should be about what's important.

    Well... it works... if not the first time, the second time will (as mentioned in the book of Annemann)... but... the "real" trick here is the method (or the routine) to stack the deck, from new deck order to SiStebbins.

    • @beatz04
      @beatz04 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, and as they didn't explain that part, the whole video doesn't really make a lot of sense. Anyone can do tricks with a Si Stebbins, they point of this video seemed to be the deck couldn't be in that order.

    • @michaelkolb4344
      @michaelkolb4344 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Actually... every kind of known order would work... the "masterpiece" is in stackin it casually from a sealed new deck...

    Singly the most amazing, amusing and astonishing video I've ever watched on magic. A spectacular trick requiring 'little to no skill' (in carrying it out) that I, as a lay person, can have a go at. Bravo. Great to watch too, love this format of Scam School.

      hung vu I know you can leave it in new deck order and do this trick. I saw him look at the face of the deck and actually assumed that’s what he did, although I thought it was risky. But it seemed like they were saying it was in si stebbins order. I’m sure there is some complicated way to use faro shuffles to get it in that order.

      Scam School's all about easy-to-learn lessons. We didn't get into that trick because the main concept is super compelling and can work with any Si Stebbins ordered deck. Michael said the technique for his shuffles has been published elsewhere :)

      Until you learn just go total beginner route and do a series of false shuffles (which may be too advanced) or at least a bunch of real cuts that make it look like a shuffle and you'll still be in new deck stack, a stack's a stack. And as long as there isn't a lot of scrutiny (the audience noticing it's still in new deck order) you can do the trick. If the top card is 8d and bottom is 10d then your card is 9d. Super-beginner approach but isn't that what Scam School is about?

      So at 1:12 he is making some moves I wish we could of seen the whole shuffle but the cam cuts to Brian and Nate.... I love this trick it is great. I just need to see all the moves to pull it off.

    • @merkazoidduff7651
      @merkazoidduff7651 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I'd ask if you can do a perfect faro, apparently that's required. If not then one would most likely need to start with their card artifice first to acquire the skill. However, I think Patrick Redford has this shuffle in 'Temporarily Out of Order'. I've got the book but it's quite too advanced for me but I think it's in there. I'm sure he'd take your $75 and he's one of my favorite card magicians so I'll advertise for him, but it will take some serious work. I'll look into it tonight to see if it's there, but stacking a deck from new deck order using shuffles is advanced card work and certainly nothing I'd expect Brian to be teaching on this channel.
