  • Part 2 of "Is MSC Yacht Club worth it?" This video has actually become a complete MSC disembarkation guide for Yacht Club and non Yacht Club as I have sailed both.
Complete video of disembarkation process from the lounge to off ship and what that looks like. Hopefully some helpful tips for first time cruisers ESPECIALLY for those going out of Miami.

Here’s another ‘thank you’ for emphasizing tipping…. We tipped HEAVILY on MSC in Yacht Club (we were on Seascape with you in December :-) to all of the waiters / butler / jr. Butler / maitre’d / etc…. The care and just amazing service / kindness that these nice YC team members delivers is mind blowing….

We have to agree the YC is the best. Been on 3 MSC different ships and they all are beautiful and the service in the YC is well worth it. Each time we left out of Miami and we don't recall having any problems with leaving the ship. I do remember that every time we were docked at the end where the Virgin cruise ship is maybe that is why we had no problems getting off. Also I agree the porters are the best. One other thing we cruise Celebrity a lot and we find that if you are in a suite with them the service is also outstanding with butler service and all the other benefits. We are now waiting for MSC this coming year to start sailing out of NY we are booked on a August 2023 cruise. Happy Cruising and all the best to you and your family in 2023.

Great video. Both your embarkation and debarkation videos are quite helpful. And yes, tipping. Be generous to those who help you. Thank you. We'll be on the Seascape YC in less that three weeks.

Nice video. We cruised on MSC Divina last September out of Port Canaveral, it was easy on & easy off. This February we’ll be in the YC Divina leaving out of Miami. We’ve been previously in the YC on Seaside leaving out of Miami. The biggest hassle we had was getting from the terminal, to where our car was parked outside the port. Yes the Yacht Club is worth it.

My wife and I were on the Meraviglia 3 weeks ago, in the Yacht Club, and we enjoyed our cruise very much.
There were some hiccups and minor disaeppointments, which we mostly attribute to the ship being rather short staffed, including the Yacht Club areas. We were told by a number of the staff that they were short handed because of the upcoming repositioning of the ship to New York in the coming weeks.
Disembarkation was probably the biggest letdown for us. Yes, a butler meets you in the Top Sail lounge and escorts you to the exit, but after that you're on your own, having to navigate the crowds to get off the ship, to make our own way through the port areas, and to find and retrieve our luggage amongst the sea of other people and baggage. It was clear that Yacht Club privileges end immediately after walking out the door of the ship onto the gangway.
Even with a a few negatives, we are pleased to say that we booked with MSC for our next cruise, this time aboard the Seascape, again in the Yacht Club.
    Cheers

Thanks for the update! My wife and I won the bid for the upgrade from Bella to Yacht Club on the Meraviglia. We are going next week on a 4 day from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and the MSC private island. It is our first cruise ever so looking forward to it. From watching how you operate I think I will take some extra cash to take care of the butler and for other help we might need. We live near Tampa so we will be driving to the Port. We will be parking a few miles away from the terminal and taking a shuttle both ways (to and from the ship). The primary reason I put in the bid was to get the "personal service". My wife is a filipina and she has been watching blogs from a couple of the filipino workers on the ship. She already feels like she made friends! Looking forward to a great experience!

Thank you for pointing out that the port complaints has nothing to do with MSC aside from the fact that they dont have their own port.

My tip is to cancel. I am on the ship now. First and last time on MSC. It’s atrocious. Buffet is a zoo and so many other problems. Even the crew are complaining to passengers. Shocking experience. Cannot wait to leave this ship.

@@ruthkaye8787 oh no! I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience. This is what makes us nervous. We have only done one other cruise, Norwegian 13 years ago. My husband is considering upgrading to YC since we keep hearing that its the best way to go, but I am having my doubts at this point.

For yacht club pax now you get down to luggage area, does the yacht club have a designated luggage area? Much easier to find luggage, or you have too search through the sea of luggage? Is there a luggage valet service in Miami to have bags collected @ night & MSC sends bags to airport, so you don't have to see them til baggage claim @ Logan for me? Might have you seen/know how MSC has helped mobility challenged especially through disembarkation & luggage find to get a porter? TY for any info!

Booked on Seaview YC out of Barca in May. Does the concierge contact you prior to sailing? We land in Barca at 10am the morning we sail. Ideally we’d like to just check our bags then go to the city. Board later.

Thank you for the information. Much appreciated. We are getting ready to sail in the Yacht Club on the Seascape Feb. 5th. This will be our second time in the Yacht Club and we think it's definitely worth the extra money. We love it. The first time was out of Europe and this time we will be driving to Miami. The last time we sailed from Miami we took a taxi from the airport so I am not familiar with the parking situation. Did you make a parking reservation to park across the street from the terminal? I could not find any information on parking that close. I ended up making a reservation with a company that will shuttle us to the port but I would prefer to park at the terminal. Can you fill me in on the process? TYIA

@@gingernightmare9152 With Yacht Club it was great. On the ship very quickly and escorted off the ship quickly as well (although we embarked/disembarked in Barcelona so I can't speak for Civitavecchia). Enjoy your cruise! It was our favorite and so much fun!

I’m getting ready to sail for first time on msc seascape at end of April. I have yacht club grand suite 19014. Do you notice any noise from above you from the pool area? Read one complaint on a review that it was noisy above them. Can you comment on your experience about the noise? Besides this question, thank you for sharing everything you did. It really helps having a person’s positive experience to make one get more excited for the trip.
