Greetings CruiseDad and I totally agree with you that Ocean Cay needs a kid friendly and adult only pool area within the Island. BTW - Your videos are great and Thumbs-Up and subscribed. Good Luck and thanks !
It is a marine reserve that they brought back to life. I’d hate to see it turned into a theme park. I do agree having more things to do even if it’s water sports, or inflatable water slides in the ocean to engage folks.
We are huge fans of Royal Caribbeans ships. We had a MSC cruise booked but MSC canceled it last minute, within 2 weeks of sailing. (and screwed me out of some money) so we have never seen one of their ships. Might try NCL though. Any experiance with them? Anyway, great video!
Yes I sailed NCL in 2020. It was their brand new ship at the time and had go karts on board. Very cool but we enjoy MSC more so hopefully you give them one more shot, they should give you what you’re owed tho
I agree. We’ve been on Ocean Cay twice with our girls, and if they just put a small water park/splash pad on Ocean Cay it would be perfect! Nothing too elaborate to change the “chill” vibe of the island, but something for the younger kids to enjoy. Thanks for your video!
Our absolute favorite thing about Ocean Cay is the fact that is is not geared towards children. I adore kids, but there are so many places that are already all about inviting children. As far as a pool, what a waste of resources. You have so many beaches (coves) why would anyone want a pool. Stay on the ship and swim in a pool. This island is like a sanctuary, and I would hate to see it look like a small, wet and wild. Appreciate your opinion, but, 100% disagree with you on this one. Just sold on MSC seaside last week, and I am they’ve gotta do some major changes if they want to get the Ranks with top cruise lines. It was the absolute worst cruise we had ever been on. Over three hours for embarkation over two hours for deportation. A minimal 3 1/2 hours for each dinner service, food was mediocre or less. Boat was not staffed at full capacity. getting drinks from bars was a minimal 30 minute wait for a drink or longer. 100% disappointing right now in MSC cruise ships.
Ocean Cay is pronounced Ocean Key. I hope they don’t build slides, etc. I would like them to keep it as it is. Stay with the other cruiselines if that’s why you are wanting.
It’s because it’s a Marine Reserve. So if they build anything it will be geared to the environment. That’s what makes this place special. 😊

Miss you and your family at dinner time. Your sons were so adorable!

Yep nothing crazy, just something where they’re being thoughtful for kids
It’s not really an island that is meant to be catered to young children. I would try Carnival or Disney instead of MSC.
I had heard they are adding another buffet area on the far point of the island.
I heard they going to build a museum/research center
There is a lot missing I haven’t been there five times

I didn't like the coral on the beach within the Yacht Club area. MSC REEEEEEALLLY needs to work on the US Customer Service. Absolutely terrible!
