Yeah, looks like par for the course against Serral. You might get a sneaky hit in if you are lucky but when the surprise effect wears off he kinda ascends to a force of nature - specifically the plague of locusts.
I dont think I've ever seen serral lose a drone to reapers... that was 3!? Not sure if he was trying to play by braille or what, but I'm hoping he corrects whatever it was for the rest of these games.
He did! He just created a build to beat that terran style. Looks like he really struggles with that terran opening.
I'm convinced that there isn't enough gas for mech (by itself) against Zerg.

Game 2 proves that terran needs Goliaths with WoL upgrades. So that mech has some "tanky marines" that can both attack in the air and ground while being supported by cyclones in the back.
From what I can tell, that's what the Cyclone rework in the proposed balance patch is intended to do: be the cheap, mass-able marine-like unit in the middle lane, with siege tanks in the back and hellions / hellbats in the front. Neat design choice; we'll see how it continues to develop.
One game never proves anything.
@@hivetech4903 except that majority of terran games always starts with reapers, and then ends up with marines and medivacs.. no mech finishers, no sky terrans, no viable other strategies.
terran is the weakest race atm. Maru and cure are the only best terrans i have seen on the competitive scene.

Gumiho, Oliveira, Byun & Clem have all been in multiple finals this year... If you've only seen Maru & Cure that's like closing your eyes and saying you only see black 😂So know we know you don't follow pro games, any comment you make has no credibility.
Apparently to win as zerg ypu a move and micro one unit. I have not seen a terran win vs late game zerg. Zerg is just boring to watch. A move repeat. Zzzzzzzz

Devastating is a bit exagerated, terran are way better at that, surviving 3 bases against 8 for 20 minuts

@@louisdrouard9211Serral loses 22 drones, the 4th Hatchery and then the 5th hatchery all by the 10 minute mark. I'd say that's pretty devastating.

@@fierzali6297game 2, at 7 min Cure got nothing but a cancel on the 4th (while his third is not mining). That's the game where we lose all his hellions for free too, right ?
So sure he got a lot of drones with 5 banshees with 2 upgrades but killing 20 drones at 10 min is not the same as killing 20 at 5. Especially when you invested that much to do so.
And yet ! Cure would have won, if only he had made ghosts against 15 infestors.
And what does he do with gis advantage ? He get 15 drones at 10min then so nothing for the next two minuts, allowing the comeback. Sure serral was behind, but I would not call that "devastating", as surely you would not call 4 banes killing 20 scv at 10min "devastating".

Serral is drunk game 1. Seen a couple of these lately though. Great players giving good players a game, then smashing them. That army that Serral has end of game two probably has the highest potential of any army comp in the game but jesus christ you need to be made of 4 different AI to control it right.
“Ok, ok, I’ll play with the keyboard” moment
Every other Zerg: "Serral, please drop a map, we can't survive more nerfs"
After loosing the game: "You got your wish, am I now allowed to use both hands for the rest of the series?"
Serral! 🐐 On his route to the finals, he already demolished Maru, Byun, Dark, MaxPax, Gumiho, and others. Amazing run.
Finally finished up the WoL achievement hunt Winter did and it's hilarious when he sprinkles in dialogue. That Kate Rockwell part had my face hurting from laughing.
I will be watching this now, I didn’t know it was a thing but him commenting about whatever when fighting AI will must be a blast!

Bio + blue bats + liberators IMO are the winning compo, maybe with vikings if they got brood lords

Planetary fortresses are fundamental in a Mech army. Because enemy units must commit significant resources to take it down.

as a terrible player of sc2 and a noob i feel the infestor pain, i lost a game the other day with mass carrier and i thought the game literally lagged or i experienced a bug because my carriers dissappeared from my screen and gone on the minimap and my control group. took a while to realise they all died to infestors

@WinterStarcraft Great vid as always :) At 1:20:10 though you are right about Serral's weakness being ZvZ, he still 3-0 Lambo and 3-1 Dark before 3-0ing MaxPax and Maru and droping 1 map to both Byun and Cure. Rather solid lower bracket performance ;)
I Wonder, a crazy thought to be sure, but, I think next video we outta up the anty, we outta shoot for the stars, aim for the Galaxy, Fire a Nuke into the enemies main base and hope they don't see. We outta set the bar to TWO more likes per video, and see if we can do it. It's lofty, possibly even foolish, but I think we can do it

banelings are such a boring unit to watch. like, okay, marine splits are cool, but watching an entire army or an entire garrison evaporate instantly to one attack is so anticlimactic tbh. I understand the balancing behind them, but it's so awful seeing that when you're against Zerg you're just constantly teetering on the edge of one good baneling strike just ending the game.
We're nowhere near the Winfestor-Broodlord comps from 10 years ago that virtually killed SC2 as an esport though, thankfully. Those games were absolute snooze fests.

Circles absolutely have, not just corners but sharp edges, all along the circumference of the 2D object. Spheres don't though.

how does cure not do medi drops when zerg has 6-7 expansions is beyond me. even just 1 medi on each side for distraction. Like what serral is constantly doing to Cure with lings. Good games though. hope Cure gets in next time!
Where did that second fungal come from at 18:03 game time? I watched it several times at 25% speed and couldn't see any infestor in range.
