No needs to take off the all bumper if you have a slightly high ramps. Just remove the plastic skid under the bumper and you can easily reach the cooling fan electric control unit.

Great! Thanks for the advice ☺️, I'd already taken the bumper off to fit a new mesh grill ☺️ hence why it was off, thought it would be a good opportunity to do this at the same time 😃

Hey, my peugeot 308 2015 hdi shows "motor fault" check engine on radio screen but car works normally and when i restart engine without fan it doesnt show it anymore and it is mostly on higher temperstures outside, is this probably the same issue?

I have a old Peugeot partner 2003 and it overheated a few weeks ago so I topped up the coolant as that was quite low. Now my temp sits about 90C and the cars seems ok but every so often when I have been on a long run of 20 miles or so , when I stop, and switch engine off the fan comes on and sometimes stays on for ages.
I still don’t know if I should take it to a mechanic but any ideas would be useful. Thanks!

Hey Carflix i have a 2010 peugeot sw sport. The car has same problem but the fan is sometimes working for 2,3 seconds and coolant is boiling . My temperature is 90 everytime after turning on the car for 5 minutes. Can you pls tell me what is the problem and how to fix it ?
