I took my granddaughters characters she's been drawing... transferred them to fabric (via running the purchased fabric sheets required to run thru the printer) . Made the bookmarks and gave her fabric pens to color them.... great gifts. Did the same with Star Wars clip art and made some for my grandson. They love them. All these ideas because you shared your skills and improv ideas. I've never enjoyed sewing so much (I'm 77) since I discovered PIN CUT SEW. Thank you....
I made the casserole trivet. It was my very first quilting project. I HATED IT! Mine turned out all catawampus. I forged ahead and made some for my daughter and daughter-in-law. Theirs turned out nice and rectangular. Pluses: I learned how to use my quilting foot that I have had for quite a while and never figured out how to use. Minus: I realized that I do not like quilting, at all. I really do like the trivets though and will probably muster up my courage again and sew some more for gifts. They are so useful!
All great ideas Nikki, unfortunately, my mom is already with God. But, I 'm making cloth napkins for my friend for mother's day. In her favorite color and with fun prints. She's disabled but has help. Her care giver can put them around her neck to protect her clothes while eating. (instead of adult bibs which I do not care for that much). And I just learned an easy and fool-proof method for mitered corners that come out great, even if your fabric is not exactly squared! Another useful gift is a set of pretty placemats, made by us, of course, and another one is microwaveable bowl cozies. I looove your oversized hot pads, I'm still making them for friends and family! Great ideas for Mother’s Day Thankyou. I would like a hot pad or some kind of carry bag that is heat resistant for a casserole dish that is suitable to use in the boot of the car

I have been wanting to make bowl coozies. Bowl 🥣 coozies that you can put a bowl on when you heat in microwave and not burn your hands or lap. Do you have a tutorial or can you create one ?

I'm glad you tried again! It's ok not to like every kind of sewing. It would be fine to do fewer lines on the big hot pads too.
