@@olebrogger Wish you good luck, hope you will paint and show also other factions. It is nice inspiration for someone like me starting with painting. Even if you do not paint other factions, please make video with the figures to get inspiration about colours options.

Fantastic, I love this! This game was my childhood, and seeing it have such a big legacy is very cool. I very much liked that they didn't "modernize" the designs TOO much, but went with the more classic, "fairy-tale"/"storybook"-esque designs. The later games, like Heroes 5-7 went with more exaggerated designs with big shoulderpads and lots of spikes and jewels and details everywhere, more like Warcraft or Warhammer, which I just didn't think matched the feel of Heroes. I hope they preserve this, slightly more down-to-earth, 80s DnD-inspired look for their supposedly upcoming tabletop skirmish game too. But I'm rambling. The paintjob was spot on, and it makes me feel a little less intimidated to get into miniature painting myself, so thanks!
Thanks 😀, this Board Game is just so complete, and perfectly made, and i have played the computer game since it came out, also the new versions. I saw some 3rd party mods for homm7 is bringing the game back to its roots. Tower faction is brought back and some other cool stuff too😀 if you start to paint miniatures, have a go on the speedpaints, it is easy to get a good result😀

But i have two other factions coming up soon. How ever, I am considering buying the core game my self to get the starting factions and make videos of them too :-)
Yeah please do, there are few good videos of painting these amazing minis. How have they held up with a bit of play? Is the plastic up to the challenge and not too soft?
Great video. I am new to this, so if possible on your next faction on one of the units could you show how you prime the mini to where they are before you paint them?

when you drybrush the white on over the zenithal, does it leave that chalky look that drybrushing causes under the speed paint? Hard to tell in the video - curious your thoughts having them in person
Hello, I'm actually new to speedpaints because I'm not a fan of this watercolour-esque finish, but might give it a try. How did you primed your miniatures? Looks like a some drybrushing over the primer but I might be wrong. Thanks in advance!

Used a white to dry brush before i started to paint them with colors. You can buy their paints and brushes directly from their own store or at a local dealership thearmypainter.com/collections
Vampire lord sleeves are painted wrong. It would be cool to use fluorescent paint for the ghost dragon to make him glow in the dark, maybe also the wraith's bones.
I know, and only the edges should be orange. i thought about putting some fluorescent blue into the mix after I was done painting them, but i already send them to my friend, so i cant remake them.

You are totally right about elemental, i forgot to mention them, my bad🥺 but about the Vamps i made the color match as close to the Vampire Lords from the computer game as as i could. In irl the color is a bit darker and closer to red, the highlights are in an orange tone almost yellow, and it is very difficult to catch the correct colors on video. So i think i got as close as possible 😀
Let's just agree to settle with "constructs and elementals". 😅 So the orange is a problem, but the coloured pauldrons of the lich aren't? 😜 Personally, I feel like the orangy-colour chosen for the vampire lords fit quite nicely. @olebrogger: I was almost going to shout at you for forgetting the base rims, but you resonably saved them for last. Also, as far as I know, the hero miniatures aren't supposed to literally depict Sandro and Tamika, but rather generic heroes of might and magic (much the same as the video game does). I still need to paint mine, but I think I'll try to match the paint scheme to the board game material (unit cards etc.) rather than the game graphics. Just to make it a bit easier for non-HoM&M3 players. 😄 Edit: @olebrogger: By the way, the power lich's staff acutally does glow red when they fire their death cloud. So basically you've done it right.
@@tadasrimkus3545 Oh, I get it now. How did I even miss that the first time? 😜 Of course, only the rim/edge (?) of the sleeve should be orange, the rest should be black.

If you get a chalky look, you have too much paint on the brush. The drybrush should end up in a smooth transition from white to black😀
