I have bought that set for each of my kids. 11 and 8 years old, thoughts: - assist with assembly was needed things that could be made better: - mentioned color names (I was confused before ordering) - printed painting guide for each miniature not only for one Very good set IMHO.
yes, assembly is difficult for kids. and yes i hate the naming of the paints. they should be called the same as the colors in the Fanatic range. and printed painting guides is a good idea. But i know AP has a video guide for each miniature, links are in the description of this video :-) Hope your kids enjoyed painting these minis. Say hi to them for me and welcome to the hobby :-)
Thank you, for a very great video. Im new at this and have just bought the starter set, but have a question. The small block of woods that you are holding the figure with. From where did you get them ?
Hello , very goos video for begginers, i m one of them 😅 . New subsciber . You think this worths as first set? My wife wants to fresh start ,i started a week ago ..have only cheap paints and gladly some Valejo..so we need.. what you think?thanks.
Thanks for the sub :-) I think it is totally worth it, the colors are great and the selection of the colors are very good too. So i will highly recommend this as a first set for a beginner :-)
@olebrogger appreciate the answer , well you do quality content indeed , found you today and i checked allot of your videos and definetly worth subscribing! Gl and thanks!
I think they use a different name because the Game master range already existed and so people that had the old game master range will now know what colour paint name corresponds to the current fanatics range. Also yes contact army painter the customer service is great. I had a bad brush and they sent me a new one with no fuss. BTW subbed as well.
@ well poop there goes a perfectly good explanation they actually fits, darn it darn it to heck. But at lest with the game master range they have the naming convention so you can figure out the colour. Unlike GW. It will take an extra step but because they do use the universal paint naming you can figure out the common paint name. But that aside I would love just to have the universal name and then what it might be good for. I e. This colour is good for old leather.. it would help new painters plan what colours to use. Take care and continue the good work.
I already have the colors included in the set and none of them are close enough to empty to justify restocking yet. If I were starting out with painting or Arny Paint, I'd almost definitely buy it. That's not my case though.

@@olebrogger I have done reconnaissance before spending money until everything was clear, so I have found those videos also ;)
Thanks ;)
Hey Ole 🤗
It's probably worth highlighting (pun intended) that you used the metallic paints in the dry palette, rather than the wet one. 😉👍
Good call! I forgot to mention that. 👍
I do it so i wont get metallic grains i my wet pallette😀
What is the source of your dry palette? It appears to be made of silicone. I’ve never seen one like that.
I have cut it from a baking form fordog treats. I have a video about it here th-cam.com/video/BbppAVqmEHI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Ut4EzM9tr_foRvIM
Thank you. I have looked online but can only find them shaped like paws or bones!

Nice video.
The naming of the paints is weird.
This would be nice starter set.
I think so too :-)

Dont think it is the game master range, cause if you see the paints from the new Halo set with Master Chief it has yet a new naming scheme.

Agreed, for a new painter this is the way to go
