The Chinese can sell it at such low prices because they have set up the biggest supplier base.... along with thier manufacturing.... on the planet. For couplers, for electronics that require PCBs, for steering wheels, etc...a car company has an option 20-30 suppliers....they can choose the best and cheapest offer from the suppliers. There is maintenance as the transmission oil has to changed if you want your transmission to last. Electric motor bearings can wear out or fail. There are coolants to be maintained. Tires wear out faster due to the weight of the car. You still have to lubricate the door hinges, change windshield wiper blades, brakes last longer but they still need to be replaced. Shock absorbers need to be replaced periodically. Drive shafts need to be replaced. There is less maintenance in some areas and more in some but to say no maintenance is obviously wrong.
The car is awesome but a few things seems odd. Headlights and tail lights looks like GTA cars they should hire proper designers who can bring a minimalist looks to the car. The interior is a bit way too much the simpler things looks better to be honest. Look at Tesla, Audi and Porsche they make brilliant cars it's not necessary to put every fancy material in.

In terms of charging speed western automakers are miles behind of Chinese companies. Zeekr cars with a 100kwh battery can charge from 10%-80% in 10 minutes with 500kw charging tech. Li auto, AITO, geely, XPeng and many others have got this tech because all the batteries are made by CATL.
BYD is number 1 because of superior tech and value for money. Otherwise why would Toyota rebrand BYD cars as new Toyota EVs, or why would tesla and others use BYD batteries. Plus nio has battery swapping tech that can swap a 70kwh to 150kwh battery in 3 minutes. They don't need charging stations because there are more than 2500 battery swapping stations.

In terms of charging speed western automakers are miles behind of Chinese companies. Zeekr cars with a 100kwh battery can charge from 10%-80% in 10 minutes with 500kw charging tech. Li auto, AITO, geely, XPeng and many others have got this tech because all the batteries are made by CATL.
With these kinds of features and price tag I will choose this car over any Mercedes Electric.
BYD is number 1 because of superior tech and value for money. Otherwise why would Toyota rebrand BYD cars as new Toyota EVs, or why would tesla and others use BYD batteries. Plus nio has battery swapping tech that can swap a 70kwh to 150kwh battery in 3 minutes. They don't need charging stations because there are more than 2500 battery swapping stations.
