I've used both GoPros and Mevo's to record/stream softball games here in California, and one thing you don't mention that was a deal breaker for me was that the GoPro's overheat in about 20 min on a hot day, whereas the Mevo seems to handle the heat a lot better. Sure do miss the wide angle lens of the GoPro though - there are backstops where you just can't get far enough back with the Mevo to get both the left and right foul poles... Great review! thx for doing this.
I do indoors recording for sports and my goPro is where it goes downhill with overheating. This is with a Gorpro 10. I am looking for an alternative. Mevo may be the answer.
I’ve given up on trying to stream with a GoPro. Good for recording but I’m always frustrated with streaming. I saw your post on the other comment about connection issues with Mevo. Are you connecting to it across WiFi or Access Point?
Using through the mevo app and my phone as a hotspot. Our parks do not have wifi. I have to keep my phone next to mevo camera as if I move it, lose connection. It is unstable on the hotspot enough. My phone and gamechanger app seems to work the best. Thinking of trying a Moment wide angle lens for my phone this summer.
hey, for me the mevo start is very crazy. But Gopro is ActionCam, not Mevo. Mevo are missing one thing... a better quality of image. put a little bigger sensor and better optic lens, and i buy 10 mevo ^^

Thanks for the additional info!

I use a GoPro MAX in the heat during double and triple headers and never had it overheat. The mevo at the same games though did.
Plus the GoPro MAX is waterproof.
I cannot keep the Mevo connected when streaming. I use my iphone for streaming. Thinking of getting a gopro though. Any thoughts? Thank you.

How to connect GoPro with mevo multicam
Not possible as far as i know.
I haven't found anything as of yet, but do you know of a waterproof case for the Mevo Start?
As far as I know, there is none.
