- Iowa soybean farmers recently had the opportunity to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The conversation revolved around the importance of continued agricultural trade as China remains the largest destination for soybean exports.
Find out why continued trade doesn't rely on just prices alone.

No but seriously, Xi Jingping has a soft spot for farmers. He knows how important they are!
farmers are salt of the earth, without we would all be starving.
One reason is because China used to have famines every 10-15 years via natural disasters and millions of people died from...Plus, China has 1.4B people, food security is #1, if people go hungry, the CPC will get toppled like all other Chinese dynasties...And one of his promises was to end all extreme poverty, which he had done in 2020...He ended the term 'sick men of Asia' is why he is so loved in China and aboard.....This is coming from someone who hate communist China since birth, but I despise Western lies even more.....
Xi Jinping was a farmer during the cultural revolution.
If you notice, back home, President Xi spent a lot of time in rural China talking to the farmers. In the beginning of his career, he lived with farmers for a good number of years.
When a leader serve the people, he will spend more time with the people in need of support and not on the beach for holidays while there are natural disaster back at home and he doesn't give a damn. That's the different between leader elected based on how good he can BS and lies in comparison to someone elected base on proven track records, merits and sincerity to serve the people
In contrast U$ president typically have lunches with top CEOs, doing deals, writing books, scheming and plotting all sorts.
During the Cultural Revolution academics were being shot, so President Xi had to escape to the country and live in exile as an academic himself. It was noted at this time with the people he was with that he was very good at organising and running things efficiently. That was his trademark.

More trade more talk more shaking hands, less war less weapons less bad media. It's you guys that make America great, not these idiots in Washington or the mass media. Thank you.
He (Grant) is absolutely right about the Chinese and most East Asians developing personal relationships when it comes to doing business. I’m from Singapore (76% ethnic Chinese) and I can say that like the mainland Chinese, developing personal relationships with sincerity is part of our business DNA. American politics with regards to foreign policy, especially with China, is a disaster. Both the Right And Left have failed miserable. The last 2-3 administrations have failed to understand a 5000 year old living civilisation and its 1.4 billion people. China is very misunderstood by the West, especially the USA.
Dude, Congress authorized over $1Billion per year to put out bad propaganda about China. It's like going the opposite of developing better relations and understanding. What happens if you constant defame your neighbor with lies?
sorry, not miss understood. War is in the Anglo's DNA. All about suppressing the up-and-comer.
USA don't misunderstand China. USA don't want any country to be better than them or not bowing to them. They will try to destroy these countries unconditionally and inhumanely. That is a fact as evidence throughout American foreign policies history.
Media plays a huge role in misleading American public, created anti China political environment. General public’s are always ignorant and naive.

In the past, farming is the opposite of war.
Where there is war, farmers stop farming.
Where there is farming, nobody wants war.
If we leave the present absurd politics aside, China and US can benefit each other. US needs China and China needs US.
US Soybean is one of the best to make Soy source..... if not for the war morger, China will always buys US soybean.
Amongst all the inflammatory and derogatory behaviour of the western mainstream media towards China we at last we hear voices of decency. This Iowa rep should be president. He is fair, reasonable and realistc. We need more like him - and if he ris epresentative of the people of the USA then we may yet be saved. Thank you for this very encouraging presentation.
Elect a few more of people like this Iowa Rep into Congress and the Senate and the World would be a more better place.
Yeah, but unfortunately in the western society only power hungry elitist psychopaths rise to the top. It actually says a lot about the western society
Nah, who ever you elect will be powerless against the establishment and Military Industrial Complex
@@BowlofIndoMeeas much as I want to refute this, I can't help but agree. The existence of good people in the US is a fact. But these good people are suppressed by the extremely nefarious and unseen group controlling the US. It's just sad.

Thank you President Xi ❤️🇨🇳🇺🇲🦾😇👋
Indeed, he did. One of the things he did as a rural administrator off a county was to help the local families to dig septic tanks. One time, in the process of fixing a septic tank., because the pressure buildup he got sprayed with full of human excrement! Talk about down to earth leader! I am hugely impressed! This happened when he was nothing in their political power structure!
President Xi has a soft spot for Iowa;❤.
Xi got the key to the city of Muscatine, Iowa
Chinese are big eaters of toufu based food and the demand for soybeans will be huge when there are 1.4 billions people.
These are also fed to animals in China.
This man should run for President, he seems to believe in what is right instead of what is convenient..
I am from China, I like American culture, I like farm culture, and I also like agricultural products from the United States, but I don't know why the United States sanctions us and discredits us on the Internet and the media. We never wage war and sanctions. We just hope that the US government can respect our sovereignty and people.
Because China is acting like a bully on the world stage especially towards the Philippines, and China is stealing US and European technology and IPs at a record rate
Because peace is non-profitable for those who control the US Govt, war is. And the US must remain #1 in order to keep dictating geopolitics.
Chinese people are humble respect the elders n care for the young n love to live in peace n harmony n be friends with everyone n help each other to prosper
It is a no-brainer. It is better to talk about growing food, than talking about killing each other with weapons we develop. Let there be peace!
President Xi wants to work with farmers in the US but the US Government are stopping him. It's a shame because this Iowa farmer look like hardworking decent people.
it is a common strategy when a govt is rogue, it wants its citizens to be angry and hateful and then to direct the anger towards a foreign nations, and thus it is common to dehumanize others, we see this time and time again throughout history.
So when any govt starts pumping out propaganda to rile up its people, you bet, they are planning for a conflict of some sort.
As a Chinese person, I really appreciate this kind of relationship between the two world superpowers. Thank you, guys, for respecting our culture and being open to stable relationships with China. It's refreshing to hear this perspective than the typical voice from mainstream media.
Mainstream media work for military-industrial complex that needs war to profit. Putin wanted to join NATO. But of course, without a major enemy, the weapon-selling business would be in decline. So, peace is a no-go.
Charles Thomas Munger passed away a few days ago at age 99, he said something like [Choosing to fight China is the stupidest thing to do. If the United States and China work together to make money, no one in the world can do anything to us.] --- I run across that video a few months ago, and still remember it.
From Australia. Thanks for this video. Seems to me that hard working, normal, decent people, have a better understanding of global and economical issues that xenophibic, irrational and hateful ideologues, using their positions to instigate mistrust and fear instead of common purpose and mutual benefits. I have a great respect for those Iowa farmers... And I have lots of respect for president Xi Jinping who went to meet them without any patronising actitude... Those farmers and the chinese leader represent the future... Congratulations to them!
i wish american soy farmers well. we all want a good living. sadly, Us foreign policy is just terrible for world peace and trade.
the world needs win-win corporation! we need to work together as a human race not just the color of our skin. I'm so proud that Iowa leaders can be so civil and kind.
Chinese people love farming and peapce. Farming is the opposite of war.
You mean when Chinese spies are stealing US tech at a record rate
Can you imagine Biden or Trump meeting normal business people in other countries? I can't either
😂 won't happen
nevering meeting foreign farmers, I think people would be grateful if U$ don't just b0mb the hell out of their farm lands.
Trump did all the time, he brokered the Abraham accords and got the farmers much better terms in trade with China. Educate yourself.
Thanks for the video and thanks for continue to grow soybeans. Just a little fun fact, the Chinese since the ancient days (including the Japanese, Koreans and others), have turned soybeans to so many types of hugely popular traditional products. Unfermented food uses of soybeans include soy milk, from which tofu and tofu skin are made. Fermented soy foods include soy sauce, fermented bean paste, nattō (Japanese), and tempeh (Indonesia/Malaysia). Cheers.

When personal relationship is in place, your words are as good as gold and things will move really fast. That is how we ethnic Chinese conduct business.

This is a totally cool and organic video. Just listen to the hometown acoustic music.
Please pronounce his surname correctly, it is not "chi" you should pronounce as "si" to show your respect to someone. I won't pronounce your name Aaalon Buteze. Secondly it is kind of disturbing to come to think about China giving business to Americans, Americans pay taxes to USA government to bash China with lies, blasphemy, fake news etc. Look at Australia, China resume trade to allow Australian products to enter China market and they are having huge sales order then Australia sent their warship to South China Sea to create problem and backing the former USA colony and Vietnam to create troubles......
Is this the right things? What are these people / voters thinking? "Hey I want you money, they I pay my thug head to bash you and cause all kind of trouble AND you continue to give me business, I will continue to support my thug leader to do whatever he wants to hurt you, suppress you and do whatever you don't like even to the extend that it will hurt your ability to buy from me BUT you must continue to buy from me and buy more from time to time without fails.
Can anyone understand this logic? Or because Americans have no choice in actual fact, you can only choose the bad of the worst but what was planted in your brain is that you have all the freedom and option BUT actually none
Chinese here. It's okay to mispronounce names. it's the intention that counts. love and peace.
@@dewinmoonlMispronounce is okay, it is the name-calling that needs to be knocked off.
As a Chinese I am just glad that there is open mindedness between Americans and someone who has been misunderstood and smeared in the Western media (Xi), we truly are not bad people and the chinese government is not malevolent like they are made out to be, whole world needs more cooperation and friendship and I am just happy about the general tone of this video, no problem with the pronounciation from me 😊😊 ❤❤ thank you Iowa soybean farmers!!!
Australia is, like Italy, Germany, the UK and many others, a vassal state in thrall to the USA. If we ever have the temerity to elect a government seen by the US as anti US interests,.........bingo! Regime Change.
Anything that brings peace is a good thing. What is disappointing is that most soy beans are now genetically engineered. I no long eat anything with soy for that reason. Eva
Genetic engineering is good. People get smarter eating GMO food as in the case of China.

Some Americans decouple from China, while others make money from China. This is a very smart strategy. Image if all Americans go to the Chinese market to make money, the competitive will be terrible.

What the hell? Why are the enemies being allowed on US soil.
What a tiny brain.
There is a good reason you are not in charge of US foreign policy.
Every country that doesn't toe the US line is an "enemy". The US has 4.2% of the world's population but the crazy doctrine of Exceptionalism and Manifest Destiny has Americans convinced that they have the right, nay, the obligation to tell the rest of us what sort of system we should have and who we can trade with etc.
Fishes to the east and west, Canada to the north, and poor little Mexico to the south, but the terribly insecure US needs 800+ military bases around the world to "protect" itself from all its "enemies". Meanwhile, your infrastructure crumbles, your cities crumble, your education and healthcare suck, but you have a magnificent weapons manufacturing industry.
