This level crossing is located in the Clifton Hill corridor (which consists of the Mernda and Hurstbridge lines), adjacent to Clifton Hill Station, and near Victoria Park Sidings. This is the only crossing that is on both the Mernda and Hurstbridge lines, and therefore sees a higher frequency of trains.
The crossing equipment used consists of:

- Barker Technics E-Bells
- Westinghouse Boom Gate Mechanisms
- 2 Westinghouse Bases, and 1 Unmarked Base
This crossing has not been listed on the Victorian Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), so this crossing will be staying here for the foreseeable future.
