I was thinking of EAA's. I have been taking protein for like 1 year now and recently has my stomach hurting bad and irregualar restroom use. so, i tried even harder to focus on my diet. currently deployed and my 12 hour shifts doesnt allow me to be consistent with my meals. so with protein being a no go, i am thinking of EAA. would i benifet from this?
Same here. People need to just experiment to see what works rather than listen to a guy on TH-cam who speaks well and looks decent. This stuff has been around for a long time, so its working for someone.
Leucine is what is helping not eaa's. You could just take extra leucine at a fraction of the price for the same benefit and have a much fatter wallet. Whey contains Leucine the most out of all the amino acid makeup. PLACEBO! Tell me how eaa works better then whey????
@@vikingstrongman5903 Depending on your program and yourself, try it and see, if you like. If you're eating like a strongman there may be no point. For many, there is. Very clear difference to me between this and whey for intra-workout nutrition, and even bigger difference between no intra-workout supplementation. Also makes a difference how challenging the training is to the person, how hard recovery is being pushed. If someone trains where their recovery is no problem while consuming scientist-advised protein and nutrition, then because they're already moderating things enough, they may see nothing from supplementation that absolutely helps many who are going balls to the wall and would not make it on the scientist's advice, and not even a real scientist but just reading studies.
Yeah. I used to workout without eaas, and I would be sore after my workouts. I stopped working out for like 6 months and when I started again I got eaas. I noticed my soreness was almost nothing even though I had to push harder because I was the weakest I have been in so long. I literally thought I wasn't pushing hard enough, so now I push harder than I ever have
I lift and then run, in my personal escenario, I've been really happy with the things that eaas bring to my table... Muscle recovery, nonexistent soreness, sufficient energy not to feel tired ASF at the gym, this last one that I'm gonna mention might be placebo buttttt I've been noticing muscle growth in my particular case....
I’ve been training for about 5 years and I’ve only ever used isolate protein, a multi vitamin and creatine. But I started using eaas for a few months now and I’ve noticed a difference in endurance and lack of tiredness throughout my sessions. Idk if it’s placebo or not but it’s been working effectively. The only complaint I have is That I have not found one that taste good.
It's classic Sean. Just because it doesn't do one thing, he screams like it's %100 useless. He even contradicts himself dont worry. There are solid evidences on that BCAA/EAA do work on recovery. Hence when you recover easily, you'll go harder on next session. Indirectly helps muscle building process.
That's literally logically impossible entirely because as long as you're consuming enough of said protein isolate, you're already getting the same amino's that are in the EAA supplement, and stacking more on top of it obviously won't create any noticeable differentiating effect between getting them from whey, and getting them from whey AND the supplement.
I’m sure this whole thing is primarily on case to case bases, but since supplementing EAAs to my pre workout (while maintaining 200g protein daily at 170bw) I have noticed a decrease in body fat percentage, stronger lifts, less soreness which helped with my full body 6x a week. Could’ve also been the creatine I started taking 😂😂😂
Nah its def the EAA, ive been outside the whole day yesterday and wasnt able to take my EAA's after the gym and im fucking sore everywhere now (thursday) and from monday to wednesday i went 2 hours every day going ape mode in gym and had an EAA drink after every time. Was recovered next day asap.
At 48yo I had seen muscle loss occur over the last several years. It wasn’t until recently after taking 10-20gm of EAAs daily that I’ve noticed significant improvement with muscle gains. “Science” is fallible thus isn’t always right.
I’m also 48..have always been very active..but the last year or so my energy has fallen way off..so much my wife noticed and I became worried.i get plenty of protein..I tried l-lysine and my life is REALLY turning around..if I needed that one..makes me think some of the other EAA’s may be missing and help me too..idk:.worth a shot..
One thing for me, is that during training or on a morning, I don't really want to be drinking a creamy whey shake, my stomach wouldn't like it Also, Eaa products feel more hydrating compared to again a creamy whey shake etc Bcaa's are for sure an absolute waste, though
Creamy? Mix it with water. Other option- eat food like we are supposed to. You're just defending the fact that you got duped into buying these supplements. If you need hydrating drink water like any other person on the planet.
The issue is most protein powders are milky tasting or have that milkshake consistency. I feel that if you don't want that, and want something that sits better, get a good EAA that actually doesn't use a proprietary blend.
EAA’s work for me. Great gains and in muscle and strength ever since I started taking them. I was pretty shocked because I’m pretty anti supplement. Only took whey protein previously.
What a bunch of naysayers in the comments don’t realize is how much protein your body will burn for energy before it ever gets to rebuilding your tissue. EAAs get converted into tissue for recovery much easier.
Im surprised protein utilization was not mentioned at all in this video. EAAs have a higher value of actual physical utilization than regular diet protein. They are a great way to secure you have a consistency in your system for optimal protein synthesis.
Onefm 1 You are right, the protein food is break in amonoacids, and from intestin they are transported to the liver, then to the muscle, there the aminos meet previous protein that is unsintetized yet,and bound that protein, colagen, cholesterol, etc.to sintetize the optimal food for the cells, and create the compost for repair damages of the fibres, and feed the nucleuses derivates from cells to become, new more sells, new birthed.Plus that the aminos feed the liver, and create into it a reserve,of protein to be pumped by the liver via bloodstream to the body,in case of lack of food intake,to mentain the body,in good conditions during fasting,so to mentain even our muscles mass during the fasting. That aminos reserve is enough to suply the muscles about 48-72 ours with no food intake. So all in 1 the aminos are a direct shortcut to obtain time advantage,in building musclemass taking away an effort of the organs, and to repair the muscles, rappidly, even durring the gym session,or imediately after, that whay manny bobybuilders observed, plus of energy, and lack of soreness, than fast recovery, between training sessions.Hope this help, excuse my english, salute from Romania👍🤚😃
Good information. A couple reasons why someone might like adding EAAs (provided it's properly dosed) might be due to food allergies or dietary restrictions, and mixability and flavor. EAAs mix much better with water and taste better than protein powder mixed with water. If you're like me and spend a lot of time at the gym post weight training doing cardio/showering, EAAs have an edge in convenience.
I like to take EAAs during my long workouts because I do a full-body workout 3 times a week and I'm in the gym for over 2 hours so I don't want to drink a thick ass chocolate protein shake at the squat rack so EAAs are just more convenient at times like that.

@@earlcoles5215 if you have the extra bucks, then sip on them. I drink mine with my lunch and after my workout. My goal is to prevent muscle loss so I want those extra aminos in me in case I didn’t have enough protein for the day.
As an Olympic lifter I got some EAAs for recovery, as you can probably imagine the training can be brutal at time, and I did notice a decrease in muscle soreness
My research so far: -EAAs and BCAAs are expensive. -Not every protein has all the EAAs you need making them less bioavailable unless you add the EAAs you need to pair with them. Otherwise, these proteins mostly get used for energy. So you may have as well eaten other calories. -Milk and Egg protein look to be the best with 50% bioavailability. But the casein protein out of milk protein, the leftover whey protein is less than 10% bioavailable according to one video despite being 43% EEAs. So are EAAs worth it? -If you are looking to cut fat mass? Probably. With one caveat; each amino acid needs to be in the correct proportion otherwise you are wasting your money. -If you are looking to gain muscle mass without regard to fat loss? No. Just use milk or egg protein. Just started to research this so look into it yourself.

I think whether it makes sense or not not only depends on whether you eat enough protein but also on what your protein sources are. If it’s mainly plant based it may be beneficial.
For people like me who have inflammatory bowl disease and dnt wanna be on humira and all it causes inflammation when we eat and i notice when taking amino acids it helps break down the little food i do eat i believe. I have also noticed a better overall mood. So maybe not regular people but for people with health problems i think super beneficial.
Possibly but thats not how these things are marketed. And even if this were the case, supplement companies would still lie about it because there aren't enough people in your niche that would buy it
Absorption of EAAs is faster than protein though, so as a pre or intra workout, EAA will be the best option to produce protein synthesis around the workout. With the rest of that has been said in the video I totally agree.
@@yung_777drones7 thanks for the response, I basically was designing my own pre workout with different ingredients, and was thinking about adding 20 grams of Eaas in it.....just one quick question, do you believe Eaas would benefit me if I am already eating enough protein already through meat and protein shakes or will purchasing Eaas be a waste of money?
@@earlcoles5215 if you're already getting enough protein from regular food, save your money and dont worry about this crap. Otherwise just buy whey isolate. ITs much cheaper and works better than these scammy eaa supplements
BCAA are highly insulinogenic so taking them pre during can help stimulate insulin for better muscular energy/endurance but if you want to aid in actual muscle building then yes take EAA any other time
This is great information! Most people don’t understand how amino acids pool in the stomach and combine Amino acids to “complete” proteins even from non-complete proteins at every meal.
Summary: Zero report of trying himself while keeping all else constant, zero report of having experience with large number of clients or other subjects, but coming to conclusion anyway "because science." Except that such conclusions are often wrong in the real world laboratory of the gym and other athletic training.
i train fasted and hit a plateau. i started using eaa´s and have seen a nice difference in strength and endurance. i follow a 20/4 eating plan and have gained weight and size. him saying you cannot make gains training fasted is bs considering when you train fasted your GH levels are high which helps with muscle gain. i am 6ft, 220 with abs and make this fella look small so it is better to listen to someone who probably looks more like the way you would like to look.
I'm using EAAs before and after training while intermittent fasting. I tried with whey before but digesting it always robs me of my energy. Having EAAs is just like drinking water.
I still take EAAs because: 1. On a cutting phase, I will incorporate some very low (below BMR) calorie days. I sip on EAAs throughout the day since I may not always get all the protein I want. 2. For hydration and satiety. Since they taste great, I can get in more water in the day.
I don’t agree considering amino’s in general. I had 2 weeks insane stomach pain, ended up in the ER with some blood. I started taking L-glutamine, and it completely cured in a few days!
I really love and respect guys like you in the fitness industry because you help us understand the truth behind supplements and diet and keep us from wasting so much money because most of us get fooled in the beginning. Thanks for your knowledge brother!! 💪💪
I bought Seans work out program maybe 13 yrs ago. When I received it I realised it was similar to what I had previously used successfully. So I asked for a refund and he gracefully did so😀 Very rare to see that happen. Thank you for that and wish you all the best brother.
you just contradicted yourself by saying "your daily protein intake gives you enough bcaa's as is" well if someone isnt consuming proteins at all or within a decent time before during or after a work out then bcaa suppliments do infact help. aknowledging that bcaas are getting consumed enough in your food is enough evidence to debunk what he is saying.
ironically i just bought some EAAs and now I see this video lol, but i bought it for a reason, i can't afford to buy enough foods that are useful protein sources so i just eat the foods that don't contain all the amino acids(plant based foods) mostly, and i think EAAs combined with my diet could produce a complete protein pool in my body, i like to hear your thoughts on this guys
I've been suckered into buying BCAA, not realizing that they are already present in protein (whey).. Wish i'd researched this EAA video earlier. Thanks for this info, Sean :-)
Dude most people want EAAs and BCAAs to have a bit extra energy working out for extended periods without food. For example i use the critical XT aminos powder from Body Tech in my water bottle during 1-2 hr swim practices, or when i go to the gym right after practice and just want to just have something in my body for some extra energy. It would have been better to talk about if EAAs or BCAAs can actually improve athletic performance if drank durring long workouts or if they help to perseve muscle mass and aid in recovery.

Definitely disagree. While it is true that u need to supplement with the full package of amino acids, they are very useful to the body. More work, faster recovery.

I was feeling tired all the time and didn’t really enjoyed my workouts. Once I started taking them again BOOOM felt great again. They work great for me
The quality is the key. Peer reviewed research show bcaa's don't work, but the correct combo of EEA's do. Perfect Aminos by Body Health, Kion Aminos and Fortagen are all good choices. Bioavailability is high and absorbed in 30 minutes. Eggs have the highest bioavailability at 45% for food. The above products are at 99%, creating less nitrogen (none) as a byproduct. Take at least 30 minutes before food which contains fat and/or protein or 2 hrs after so it doesn't compete. Great for IF and doesn't interfere with ketosis. As a personal trainer and Registered Nutritionist I have had good success for a variety of issues
What if one uses EAAs as a way to get protein whilst saving on calories on a cut or as a way to save money, as EAAs can be cheaper than many protein foods.
This video is half true and half false if you are trying to lose weight and you are in a calorie deficit use eaa or bcaa yo maintain muscle mass and not lose any while cutting!! Also they reduce muscle soreness 👍
He said it is a ripoff and makes no real difference, you get the same benefit from eating properly. One cant force extra protein beyond what the body already needs. He just said that.
Wrong. Sorry but do your research. Search, PerfectAmino, Dr Minkoff, listen to his podcasts, go to BodyHealth. com they also have a youtube channel. Another channel called Know Thy Nutrition explains how eaas and protein really works too. No problem i just saved you years of research. Now delete this video bcs it is kind of wrong info.
I like a cup of coffee 30 mins to an hour before working out. AS good as any pre workout and a lot less expensive. Half seem to say EAA's are worthless as a supplement, some say they are not. Assume I could same amount in a serving or so of greek yogurt as a supplement?
@O N They're actually just as great as whole food. People tend to downgrade whey protein (just normal whey) as a bad way of consuming protein but it's actually just as healthy and arguably better than the so-called "whole foods". Whey and Casein are great and healthy options, dependent on the additives though, some variants might not be as healthy because of additives.
Depending on the brand protien shakes make me feel bloated, also I don't always have time to eat lunch at work, so drinking eaa's while I'm working keeps from feeling beat up

The point about whey is really helpful. I orignally thought I was possibly short of AA because a good porition of my protien on a weekly basis is dairy, beef, and whey. But learning that whey is a complete AA does grant reasurance
The question should be what foods we eat to get our daily protein. Let's not forget that is not a good idea to eat meat and dairy products all the time to get our protein, did we forget about cholesterol, triglycerides, etc? We have to keep a balance in this area too. So, I may have a good meat based meal for lunch but for breakfast I have peanut or almond butter with wholemeal bread, we can say that my breakfast is vegan, nut butters are not complete proteins, I supplement this breakfast with BCAAs, just one capsule out of 5 max daily that packaging suggests. The same applies when my lunch doesn't not contain meat as main protein but other sources like legumes which are rich in protein but not complete (my meditteranean origin has a lot of meals like that), then supplement these meals with BCAAs can be useful. That day I take 2 capsules for example. There is also website for vegans I found that combines vegan proteins to make them complete. I am not vegan but occasionally we have to be vegans, as I mentioned, let's not forget other sectors of body health. I don't look at it as pre/after workout supplement but as incomplete protein food supplement instead.
Don’t take everything he says as facts. EAAs are being taken by many pro body builders such as Markus Rühl. Personally since taking them I recognized a huge decrease in muscle soreness, sometimes my chest or legs were sore for almost a week, since taking EAAs there is almost no muscle soreness at all. What he says about BCAAs is wrong as well: BCAAs are good for maintaining muscles when cutting while EAAs are good for building muscle

I wish to ask if BCAA pre-workout supplements are good? For example Jym stoppani's pre-workout supplement with BCAA in it. In fact is combining BCAA with pre workout good? I also wish to ask since I am vegetarian that you suggest I take all nine amino acids? Also, let's say for example someone who is not a vegetarian or vegan takes EAA's, could it be said that the EAA's are just adding more calaries since non-vegetarians can get EAA's from meat, eggs etc or is it different? I really look forward to your answers. I have been following Jym for so long and I am not a science junkie but I am willing to learn about this since I workout regularly so that I can change what I am doing if I have to then I keep moving forward. Thank you and great video!
Will amino acids help me if I struggle to consume enough protien in a day? Whey protein (both isolate and concentrate) does not sit well with my stomach and I'm looking for something to substitute.
Great info Recently I was diagnosed with fatty liver and liver fibrosis, I cannot consume much protein because protein breakdown will release ammonia as byproduct which the liver won't be able to treat due to lowered efficiency. I guess amino acids will do minimal harm and might be better for similar conditions, any ideas on that particular area?
Sure. Had several episodes of very bad calf cramps at night sleeping after starting gym in Jan, and starting taking BCAAs gym recommended to see if that helped. Either adapted to the workout or the BCAAs worked, because they have stopped.
Yeah, I believe so too. Normal Whey protein also contain EAAs so from my experience it's kinda overkill with EAA supplements if you already take whey protein and also eat animal based food 💪
@@Ak-qn9qc If you're vegan you can get a complete EAA profile by combining legumes and cereals (I believe it's called that in English) For example: Rice and beans Rice and peas Rice and lentils Wheat and peanuts Etc. Just be sure to get enough Protein for the day. If that's difficult, then EAAs or a vegan protein shake can help you. Hope this helps
Not everyone can eat enough protein Sean. As lifters we have to try to eat often. When I started eating a lot (reverse dieting) I was also losing weight. I always supplemented with BCAAs (because they are cheaper than Eaa) and in instances where I was eating fish or just not a complete source of aminos...I drank those w all of my meals tbh just to ensure protein synthesis. You can get 90 servings of EAAs for $40, add 1 caffeine capsule in, and you won't need to buy energy drinks. You can add your Creatine to them. I stopped taking them intra because they spike your insulin and its not what I want during workouts. I want to burn fat and build muscle so I take my BCAA+Creatine+caffeine with my meals. Protein synthesis happening 3-4 post workout anyways so no use taking it after workout immediately.
I notice that almost all BCAA and EAA brands use sucrolose and things I don't want in addition to costing more that my favorite whey isolate. I had used them in the past when I did not know they had nothing to offer. I also have been using digestive enzymes and Dr, Stoppani explained how they only speed the digestion more than already is close to ideal for optimum MPS over the hours following a dose of whey or foods with casein.
I am a long term subscriber, but I'll be honest full spectrum amino acids prior workout makes the day better. I think I have far better recovery and I have way more energy. I take mine with lemon juice first thing in the morning and it's awesome!
I read that Eaa’s have so many more positive effects than just tissue recovery/reconstruction. They are great for your brain and overall energy levels, inmune system, daily focus, muscle maintenance when not training for long periods of time, they have a higher percentage of absorption than protein (food and powder), etc
the question is do essential amino acid (EAA) have the same protein food effect? i mean if i'm getting (eaa) can i introduce less protein food in my diet? let's say instead chicken breast can i drink EAA up and get same effect?
@@vikingstrongman5903 I have no idea off the top of my head. And I'm not saying that they do. I'm just saying that that's what Layne Norton said. And he's one of the most educated honest nutrition guy's I've seen. He's made a could videos about the scientific studies they've done on it. I think you have to take it with the protein powder. Essentially you're just increasing the bcaa to other amino acid ratio a tiny bit.
EAAs preserve muscle mass. So if you take them before cardio your body won’t go to your muscles for energy. So people worried about affecting their muscle mass if they want to do cardio can just EAAs before their cardio session. Same thing before eating. If you take them before eating, your body won’t go to your muscles to help with energy for digestion.

Hey man what do you think about intra workout nutrition on days of weight training and 30 or more minutes of cardio....do you think think intra workout nutrition would be helpful....and another question i would really appreciate if you answer....is it ok to do a lot of steady state cardio when trying to build muscle if you get in enaught calories plus all the benefits from cardio.
I used to play football was 300 lbs started to not “eat like an athlete” lost 70lbs but now that I work I actually find it hard to train like an athlete, at the same time working 11 hour days in my sales job. Really thinking about supplements with amino acids, is it worth it.
You likely dont need much of workout when you already work 11 hours every day. That is a lot of stress on your body. I would suggest a 15 minute workout every day or even every other day.
OK so no protein drinks at all then? Ok how does one measure how much protein to actually eat then? It does not say how much it is in grams.. so do you get a little tiny gram scale and strictly measure it out or what? What is the real truth, I have heard so many different things for a long time now.
Then what if you don't eat enough protein because it's either too expensive or you don't have the appetite? That is why it's called a supplement, just like whey. I am slightly intolerant to whey though.
Been drinking EAAs for a couple years now during my training. I do notice less soreness and better recovery. Plus the one I use tastes great and I just enjoy drinking it. Don't really need EAAs to make gains but if u have the extra $ then why not.
What about intra-workout? I get up at 4:30 am to workout and don’t like taking anything before- other than preworkout. John Meadows suggests drinking a blend of EAA’s and cluster dextrin. I know I’m not technically fasted when I start consuming this, but I use it more as a fuel for my 1.25 to 1.5 hour workout. Are they still pointless? Love your content!
Of course it's not pointless, I do use it too intra-workout cause i don't like to have anything on my stomach while training. Vegans would laso benefit from EAAs since they lack quite a bit on their diet People wiht Crohn's or IBS can also benefit from them since they can't eat a lot of food without gut problems. What are your thoughts on adding EAA's to either a Vegan or pasta themed diet? I find meat to be pricey for me, so I mainly use pasta as a source for my calories and protein (I make it al dente' so that my body has to work harder to break it down - and avoid it turning into fat). Problem is that the protein in pasta isn't complete, so I throw in some EAA's in the hopes of rounding everything out, in addition to protein shakes.

What about the fact that we only digest and convert 20-40% of food based protein into muscle tissue? Eggs being one of the highest. Soy and plant much less. EAA companies claim 99% utilization for muscle growth. Is this not true?

Supplement companies probably hate you lol.... but I love the decency and pure, stright-to-the-face , no BS review.
Thank you.

Lemon lime gorilla mode eaas is the best

EAA’s work for me. Great gains and in muscle and strength ever since I started taking them. I was pretty shocked because I’m pretty anti supplement. Only took whey protein previously.
When do you take them? before, during or after Workout? and how about on free days?
What a bunch of naysayers in the comments don’t realize is how much protein your body will burn for energy before it ever gets to rebuilding your tissue. EAAs get converted into tissue for recovery much easier.
Im surprised protein utilization was not mentioned at all in this video. EAAs have a higher value of actual physical utilization than regular diet protein. They are a great way to secure you have a consistency in your system for optimal protein synthesis.
I don’t think you watched the video

As an Olympic lifter I got some EAAs for recovery, as you can probably imagine the training can be brutal at time, and I did notice a decrease in muscle soreness
My research so far:
-EAAs and BCAAs are expensive.

Absolutely correct your body needs Amino acids, an if you cant consume them through a regular diet, why not supplement with a EAA (supplement )...
Possibly but thats not how these things are marketed. And even if this were the case, supplement companies would still lie about it because there aren't enough people in your niche that would buy it

Whey and Casein are great and healthy options, dependent on the additives though, some variants might not be as healthy because of additives.
Depending on the brand protien shakes make me feel bloated, also I don't always have time to eat lunch at work, so drinking eaa's while I'm working keeps from feeling beat up
I drink EEA or BCAA only during my morning workouts on empty stomach... only for giving some taste to the water.
I was planning on purchasing a 1000 gram or 2.2 pound bag of eaas from bulksupplements for $35, problem is that it is a proprietary blend, I dont know how much of each amino I am getting for 15 grams.......but it is the cheapest eaa supplement I can find per gram & honestly I was still planning on using 15 grams of this proprietary blend & mixing it with a couple sweet water flavoring packets in a half gallon jug of ice cold water to sip on throughout my workout in the evening time........problem is I really don't even know if I am wasting my money or if it will benefit me 🤣....what's your opinion this ?
@@earlcoles5215 The "benefits" basically non existent. As I said, I can afford to buy BCAA but only to taste my water. Of course I could buy some regular drink powder but they're are actually not cheaper so it doesn't matter. At least it has the illusion to have something "beneficial" in my body.
@@_koschwarz that makes sense, it's the illusion and good tasting water that is motivating LOL
One interesting fact came up to my mind- *All essential amino acids are water soluble*.
How it's possible to dry them into powder without seriously degrading levels of nutrients? Plus, that would've need constant heat, which degrades EAA even further.
Thank you so much for the balanced view!!
Wrong. Many body top builders like flank Zane use just amino.
How about
EAA + cluster dextrin + Gatorade? Mountaindog1 recommends this as an intra workout, would it be beneficial at all?
Don't use gatorade.
I use cluster dextrin + 8 gramm eaas only when I am cutting and doing hard cardio sessions (45 min to 1h) to keep me going.

I cup of white rice 4 - 6 oz of lean protein 1.5 - 2 hours before workout...the whole spectrum of aminos during and after .....GAINZZZZZZZ.....almost forgot..Sean are you coming out with creatine supplement?
Guys don’t n I mean please don’t listen to this guy because EEA’s are Amazing!… when I started them I just can’t go off them because they work, I feel fuller through out my workouts n feel better stronger n better pumps!!…look at the state off this guy?? Does he even lift to know if they work or not?? Would you really take advice from him 🤦🏻♂️
Stack your BCCs with your EAAs along with your protein shake for maximum bro science!
Great info
Recently I was diagnosed with fatty liver and liver fibrosis, I cannot consume much protein because protein breakdown will release ammonia as byproduct which the liver won't be able to treat due to lowered efficiency. I guess amino acids will do minimal harm and might be better for similar conditions, any ideas on that particular area?
I thought citrulline and or arginine will help the body release that ammonia. Look into it
in Balkan countries, people traditionally drink fresh whey for problems with liver. that's amino acid bomb.
Sure. Had several episodes of very bad calf cramps at night sleeping after starting gym in Jan, and starting taking BCAAs gym recommended to see if that helped. Either adapted to the workout or the BCAAs worked, because they have stopped.
Thanks for this. I was considering buying the EAA but I use protein powder so I guess I don’t need it 😀 great video
Yeah, I believe so too. Normal Whey protein also contain EAAs so from my experience it's kinda overkill with EAA supplements if you already take whey protein and also eat animal based food 💪
@@kewsound what if I’m vegetarian?
@@Ak-qn9qc If you're vegan you can get a complete EAA profile by combining legumes and cereals (I believe it's called that in English)
For example:
Rice and beans
Rice and peas
Rice and lentils
Wheat and peanuts
Etc.
Yeah, but any whey protein is just gonna piss out of my ass, Hip Hip Hooray!!! For EAA's!
Great vid, thanks for the info. Do BCAA's or EAA.s do anything for recovery. Asa in hewklpoing in recovery post workout?
I respect this guy a lot, down to earth guy from day 1!
the question is do essential amino acid (EAA) have the same protein food effect? i mean if i'm getting (eaa) can i introduce less protein food in my diet?
let's say instead chicken breast can i drink EAA up and get same effect?
What about Layne Norton saying that bcaas can help with recovery? He's a PhD that did his thesis on bcaas.
Tell me how bcaa's help recovery better then protein??????????
Great info I tried eaa during workout might of been placebo I actually don’t think most supplements work. I would like to believe they would but I just don’t see a difference with most of them , I just gotta trust guys like you Sean thanks for info keep it up.
Best guides! You are the best👍👍👍
EAAs have been the best thing for recovery for me. They are amazing.
I just bought EAa , i have gerd and acid reflux so i do not tolerate whey , is that ok to substitute whey with EAA
I was worried about calories when it comes to protein powders but I think I am being way too critical on how many calories I eat.
I would recommend the bcaas videos on byolane's channel. They're more in depth.
I’m a vegetarian and I eat a fair amount of egg whites should I be taking eaa?
Then what if you don't eat enough protein because it's either too expensive or you don't have the appetite? That is why it's called a supplement, just like whey. I am slightly intolerant to whey though.
Lovin the new black RS shirt👌sean
For someone who is lactose intolerant, would eaas or pea protein be more effective?
Sun warrior pea protein ! Helped me so much. I mix it with chocolate almon milk
Vegans would laso benefit from EAAs since they lack quite a bit on their diet
People wiht Crohn's or IBS can also benefit from them since they can't eat a lot of food without gut problems. It's all context. Saying people that it's just a waste of money is just foolish.
Just dont listen to all these youtube ,, experts “ , years ago all of them were constantly saying bcaa+glutamine are a holy duo for bodybuilders, then suddenly its a ,, waste of money “ then they switched to eaas and now its ,, waste of money “ too 😂 do your own research and experiment , train without eaas and then try with them, you will notice if there is any change in muscle soreness etc

What
EAA are somewhat easier to digest than whey so they can be of use as intraworkout for long-duration training sessions. Other than that, not much.
Notably for folks that are lactose intolerant

What about the fact that we only digest and convert 20-40% of food based protein into muscle tissue? Eggs being one of the highest. Soy and plant much less. EAA companies claim 99% utilization for muscle growth. Is this not true?
