Really appreciate this video. Just received my VS4-10 Builders kit. Ordered your mounts the other day. I had been pining over the wheel base, inner fenders and shock mounts. Again, thank you so much!!!
@@shrinkrc since you mention it... will relocation of the battery tray be a must? I like to run short 2 and 3s packs in my full built Phoenix. I'm wondering if the standard battery tray will interfere?
@@TinyTiresRC I think you will have interference with the stock rear battery plate. I run 2200mah in almost everything. I usually put it on one of the side plates, or up beside the steering servo, or in front of the front shock towers. It’s on the side plate on this one of course. By the way separate topic but related…the fusion motor setup saves space but also very efficient…I’ll be using it going forward as it seems to give crazy long run times.
@@shrinkrc every intention of running a Fusion or Firma 2-in1. Have them in a few rigs. Aside from the super fancy Tekin RX4.. it's all I'll run in these anymore.
Hey man, the RC4WD says the 4Runner body has 11.3 inch wheelbase and the Phoenix has 12.3 inch. In this video you say that this body iw a direct fit on the Phoenix. Can you explain please ?
I'm not going to go back and watch the whole boring video to see exactly what I said but you will need to change some things for sure hahah. The most important thing you will need to change is the rear links. By using Axial 11.4" rear links, or custom rear links you can easily change the wheelbase to 11.4 inches. Other than that you will need to trim the center of the interior to clear the transmission, and you will need to trim for dig and OD servos if you are using them. I have more than one video on this build, be sure to watch the other one too. I also have a video about custom rear links. If you still have questions please write to me at jesse@shrinkrc.com I will be glad to help you out.
Hi VRD Carbon & Stance mounts are now shipping for Mojave 2 door and Mojave 4 door. shrinkrc.com/products/shrinkrc-body-mounts-for-rc4wd-mojave-ii-two-door?variant=43103571181756 shrinkrc.com/products/copy-of-shrinkrc-body-mounts-for-rc4wd-mojave-ii-four-door?variant=43243448762556
Our mounts are chassis specific. We offer Xtracab for TRX4, we do not offer 4Runner for TRX4. Almost all chassis/body combos require interior trimming and holes cut for the shock towers. Mojave 4 door happens to fit TRX4 with very little trimming because it has a high floor.
@@trevortopolay1361 All of our Vanquish mounts work with Phoenix too. If you have a Phoenix Portal, or an Ultra, the front axle will be stretched forward a little bit because of the portals (It won't be centered in the wheel well, only in the front). You can open up the wheel well with a file or dremel, or do some work and shorten the links.
@@trevortopolay1361 any time. If you look at my Instagram and just scroll down a little, theres pictures of this 4runner with portals on it, and you can see what I mean. Ill try to send a link, I dont know if this works haha instagram.com/p/Cha64USPHvu/

Will u be making mounts for the Vanquish VRD Stance?

Stock rear driveshaft on this or something shorter?
Stock drive shaft, cut shorter. Cut a little at time, leave just enough slack that the shaft halves dont touch when you compress the suspension.
Will the rc4wd 4 runner or Toyota xtra cab mount on a trx4 sport with your mounts? Any trimming needed?

Will those mounts work for a vs410 Phoenix portal and an rc4wd 87 xtracab full body with bed?
Hi Trevor we have XtraCab specific mounts for the Vanquish at ShrinkRC.com

Have ? I ordered a mount set but it's the wrong address I emailed u the correct address just ordered it
Got your email Treavon thank you!
Do have to cut the whole if you not using interior
You will still need to cut holes for the rear shock towers. Otherwise not much left to cut.
