    I really dig this truck! Love the old Power Wagon body. Never been a fan of portals because of the higher COG, but I like the extra clearance that they give. I'm interested to see how this truck performs. If it performs well, I may borrow your idea. This is what a trx4 sport should have been with battery placement and what not. • @304renegade
    @304renegade 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great information as always. Build looks like it will be a great performer. You mentioned a few things about the shocks and droop set ups. While I don't like droop set ups either, I do like for the truck to not sit at nearly full spring height when resting (ie rtr deadbolts). I have always just played with the rainbow of axial spring colors to get a resting height of around 50% of the spring height (so I have some droop, but have some upward travel as well). I know there is likely a far superior method to the one I just mentioned that I have done. Do you know a good resource for shock/spring setup information?

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A dig unit offers capabilities that I find to be very beneficial. The use of a full size servo is also very reliable. 2 speeds I find no use for with good brushless systems, and locking diffs I just don’t care for, especially with micro servos.

      I will try to keep everything itemized as I go. I added just about everything I used in this video in the description, but I also plan to update my website to keep complete records in one place for each truck.

      Thankyou , it is quite bewildering all the different spec's, but the RTR is looking to be the new one you just reviewed from Associated as is a good price point and ticks a lot of my box's.@@HarleyDesignsInc

    Is that a Deans plug on the battery and a XT60 on the esc?

      It sure was! It was a brand new pack I hadn’t changed yet.

    Quick question can you put high-clearance links on the Vanquish Ripper??

    • @HarleyDesignsInc
      @HarleyDesignsInc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't recommend it. The link spacing on a SCX10-2 is pretty tight and high clearance links just become issues.

      Don't plug it into the rx, wire it to a source with more voltage.

    If I bought the 12.3 incision link set am I now going to be sitting at 12.6? Also any links to where to buy the Panhard and drag links

      @HarleyDesignsInc  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Which incision link set do you mean? The SCX10-2 link set has me 12.3” still.

    • @MrSweatshop1
      @MrSweatshop1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harley Designs vanquish has 2 scx10 2 link sets one is the one in your link under the video for a 12” wb and they also have a 12.3” version. So from what I can tell if you used the 12” version and are at 12.3 correct? So if I use the 12.3 version I’ll be at 12.6?

      I didn’t realize I linked the 12.0 and not the 12.3! My bad. I’ll get that fixed.
